M8 if you're able to post coherently like this, I doubt you'll have any problems. The study is probably talking about people with SEVERE autism, who can't even take care of the very basics. They eventually outlive their parents and are often given inadequate care after that, probably leading to bad health.

Higher intellectual apparently makes a difference, they die 18 - 20 years younger. I have PDD-NOS, I guess the mild form of autism? Don't really know where that belongs in the spectrum.

Ok, so I'm going to assume that was sarcastic. You can't base your lifespan based on one study, because it is heavily based on genetics and other environmental factors. Just because a study says that a person with autism will die 16 years sooner, so unless you have full blown "hurr durr" autism I wouldn't really be worried, and it would be beneficial for you to live a healthier lifestyle if you really are worried.

More mild than aspergers, which is known to many as high-functioning autism and one of the milder forms, so yes. If this is on the spectrum, then you're as close to normal as autism can really get.
