I intend to move to the us in a few years so I want to ask you what use my law degree from another country has in in the US. I speak 4 languages and law is really my passion but I want to move there because I met someone I love and we want to be closer.

Thanks

hate to say it but immigrating into the US unless you have a spouse or family that is already a US citizen is extremely difficult, give this chart a look over for a reality check

to get a work permit you'd need to have an offer of employment from a US employer and he would have to be so desperate to hire you that he's willing to go through the hundreds of thousands of dollars and years of processing it takes to get you in. He would also need to prove that he attempted to get an American for this job but was unable to, its basically impossible.

We're actually getting married soon. We've been together for 3 years long distance. He's been coming to my country and I've been going to the U.S 2x/year.
>>
scots law degrees are not admissible to the bar in most US states if that's what you're asking

My Japanese friend got hired to work at a Japanese-language paper within a year.

Is it really as difficult as that image claims, or is it that his skills as a Japanese editor are so valuable of course they would bring him over?

idk about that but I have a friend at work who married an Irish woman who he's been trying to sponsor and has complained quite bitterly about how difficult the immigration process is

I've often felt that our legal immigration system should be made easier, I mean immigration is such a big part of our national heritage and tradition after all.

Wait but so is she here now with him? Are they together during this time??
>>
Must have been a pretty shitty law degree if you have to ask /adv/ about this.

What do you think the answer is if you don't have a training in US law?

Please somebody answer this

Ouch
A lot of countries don't recognise other country's law degrees. Happens to my dad. Shittiest thing - smart person ended up doing manual labor work for the rest of his life.

Where from?
>>
Your law degree is worthless here, but when you marry him you can move there and get another degree from an American law school.
