How do I load files from an old PC to a new one? My old PC

Otherwise, remove the hard drive from your old computer and insert it into your new one? Or there are devices with two hard drive ports which copy all data from one to the other.

invest in an external harddrive if its big files, or a thumb drive if small. if good internet connection use google drives or what have you

Ahem. The best method, if you have the knowhow and both machines have Ethernet ports, is to string a CAT6 cable between them and use whatever local filesharing system your OS provides. But the knowhow can be somewhat specialized, and not all machines these days offer Ethernet ports. If you have the knowhow but not the ports, Wi-Fi can substitute for the CAT6, but it's slower.

If you don't know how to use local filesharing, then an internal hard drive or SSD is your bext best bet. If you use a new drive for this, put it in the old PC, copy the files, remove it from ths old PC, and put it in the new PC. But it's possible that your new PC may not have a free drive bay, in which case keep going.

Next best is a USB drive (other kinds of external drives work too, as long as both computers actually support them). Similar procedure to above, but without the removing and replacing of parts.

And that's it. One of these will work.

I do not mention cloud services here for a reason. They're great for backups, but they are simply too slow and impractical for a quick file transfer between two machines that you gave direct access to. It'll work if it absolutely has to, but you'll waste a lot of time. Only do this if there are no other options.

Aside from the advice already provided, I suggest using a program to create checksums so you can ensure data integrity. There are some that will hash entire directories
