Improve your body, and leave your comfort zone to develop new interests. There is no real magic trick to all of this.

It's not like you need to be an 8+ with a genius intellect to find a partner, but just improvement in any direction will help you out.
>>
>>16587264
Find some activities to do with people. As many different activities as you are comfortable with, considering your temperament. Yoga, guided meditation, dancing, languages, sports and so on.

Learn what you like and dislike and learn how to express it. If you are too inhibited to handle change on your own, consider therapy that helps with that. I know Gestalt does that, as well as group therapy.
>>
>>16587280
>>16587293
Thanks for your reply, I've tried joining the gym but essentially I feel extremly self conscious not by my body but about how unfit I am and where to start,
Mediation and yoga seem interesting never really thought about doing that
>>
You're 21 you still at least have 4 years before everything goes tits up if you haven't done anything?
>>
>>16587264
I'll be your boyfriend if you be my sugarmomma. I just need a place to stay and I won't cheat. When you get sick of me you can throw me out.
>>
>>16587264
>My friends would probably rate me a 6.5 at best

You'd be surprised, if you ask them. We often think of ourselves much worse than we really are.
>>
>>16587347
You can sleep amongst my harem of cats
>>
>>16587360
I know I'm the unattractive friend haha it's obvious every time we go out and all the attention is laid on them
>>
>>16587373
I'm not even joking. I desperately need to leave the place I'm living at now.
>>
>>16587400
You might find that I also live halfway across the world, also why so?
>>
Change your personality.
Don't let them get bored, bombard them with questions and tell them about your life. That way they'll either think you're fucking crazy or will find you interesting.
>>
>>16587409
Do you live in the USA? And because I'm in a dead end situation and want to move away; I've been here far too long. I'll even get a job.
>>
>>16587414
But see that's another thing I feel that by 'changing' my personality I'm not showing a true representation of myself, the worst case scenario for me would be a guy that finds me interesting at first and then slowly realises that I'm nothing like what his first impression suggested
>>
>>16587424
I'm afraid not, I live in England
>>
>>16587429
>I'm not showing a true representation of myself

See >>16587293

Learn how to express yourself. If you don't know how, go to therapy.
>>
>>16587441
Honestly? That's even better. But I guess immigration isn't so easy. I'm six feet, about 10lbs underweight but not bad looking. I'm six years older than you, though. My accent may annoy you.
>>
>>16587429
When I said change, I mean improve your actual self, yo.
Be more outgoing, it never hurts to be too outgoing.
You'll also enjoy life more if you don't hang back.

>>16587441
L O N D O N ?
>>
>>16587462
Yeah as long as you don't bring your 'murica crap we Brits are fine, I'm about 5'2 and 58kg have no idea what that Is in pounds >>16587467
Haha yeah not that rat infested city I live in Manchester
>>
>>16587414
don't fucking change your personality. be yourself. find someone who shares the same interests then you won't run out of things to say. don't fake being this person you're not. if you're not entirely comfortable with someone, that's how you know they aren't right for you. you should be able to talk about everything freely, problems and the good stuff. it takes longer than 20 years for almost everyone to find someone like that. good luck and don't settle. your skin and body don't mean anything, don't settle for someone who thinks they do. i'm off to dinner, have a good life with nothing to worry over =D
>>
>>16587264
What are your interests/hobbies?
>>
>>16587490
Thank you this what I really wanted to hear :D! I'm so glad someone else gets it!
>>16587496
Jesus Christ I'm going to sound like a total basic bitch: kinda love listening to extensive and yet random music anything from black metal to indie (weird I know) I'm also still at uni so I really don't have time to do much else what about you?
>>
>>16587511
>I'm also still at uni so I really don't have time to do much else

This is an excuse.
>>
>>16587264
Don't lose hope. Please.
I'm 19, skint, fat, balding, short, no mates and a kiss less Virgin yet I still hold on.
If there's hope for me, there is hope for you too.
>>
>>16587520
I know was it too obvious of an excuse
>>
>>16587511
>Thank you this what I really wanted to hear :D! I'm so glad someone else gets it!
>choosing the reply that's the least work and following it
Yes, I'm sure you're strong enough to walk your own path in life. That's why you make threads asking dumbasses on /adv/ for advice.

oh wait
>>
>>16587511
> love listening to extensive and yet random music anything from black metal to indie
That's actually cool. I likewise enjoy a wide variety of music, but my the more interesting aspect of that for me is composing.

And, no, you don't come off as a basic bitch; basic bitches usually listen only to what's on the radio.
>>
>>16587538
Well I did ask for reassurance and this post definitely did reassure me ;)
>>
>>16587488
>Yeah as long as you don't bring your 'murica crap we Brits are fine, I'm about 5'2 and 58kg have no idea what that Is in pounds

Perfectly understandable. And yeah, I should have realized lbs was the wrong way to state it. I'm about 63kg, it seems. Actually, in the state I live, there are quite a few British travelers and immigrants so I'm not completely unused to dealing with British folks though obviously I still have yank speech patterns and suck at metric.

Personality-wise, I'm a non-racist liberal democrat who wants to vote for Bernie Sanders. So if that is diametrically opposed to your own beliefs, we probably wouldn't get along.

Honestly, I doubt anything will come from this but it's kind of fun talking about it.
>>
>>16587542
Do you play any particular instrument?
>>
>>16587561
I used to play guitar, but I stopped practicing many years ago. Now I just use it when I'm writing. It gets plenty of use when I'm writing metal, but I use it mostly to work out a melody here and there when I'm writing for string quartets.

New hobbies can develop when you have more time. Music was my primary interest until after I finished school. I picked up a few more after that, so I wouldn't be too discouraged.
>>
>>16587558
A socialist I see, now that is an incredibly rare breed to find on 4chan I don't really subscribe to any particular political party but i would say that I'm a corbynist (if you know who Jeremy Cornyn the neo socialist leader of the Labour party), all honesty I don't care for England that much I would love to go interailing around continental Europe and just leave this arrogant country
>>
>>16587558
>I am a non-racist liberal
>on 4chan

What are you doing browsing on 4chan?
>>
>>16587558
Also 6ft and 63kg I worry that you'll be able to withstand the British weather!
>>16587567
I do knit if that really counts as an interesting hobby and used to play the piano but I can't afford one now :(
>>
>>16587583
> I do knit
That's charming ^_^

> used to play the piano but I can't afford one now :(
I used to date a girl who wanted to practice piano but couldn't afford one, so we got a used midi keyboard for fairly cheap. You might consider that.

>>16587571
I believe in capitalism, but today's capitalism in America is a far cry from what it was in the early 20th century since there has been a lot of unchecked corruption in the system. It's a sad truth you run into if you like to read history, since it mirrors a lot of what happened during the late 1800s/first decades of the 1900s that our presidents like Teddy Roosevelt had to step in and clean up. I'm not familiar with Jeremy Cornyn, unfortunately.

>I would love to go interailing around continental Europe
Sounds extremely fun. The USA is a beautiful and varied place which I've been lucky enough to see a lot of, but Europe has all of that and more. Just the architecture alone is pretty breathtaking IMO.
>>
>>16587583
>Also 6ft and 63kg I worry that you'll be able to withstand the British weather!
Yeah I suck at cold weather, but I've been able to tough it out when I've encountered it. I'm definitely more suited to tropical climates as that's the kind of place I've lived most of my life.
>>
>>16587622
Sorry that was meant to be corbyn yeah I can imagine I would love to visit some of the more rural areas such as the Louisiana swamps and your national parks, its a shame that we don't see this image of America enough in the media, also your one country is practically bigger than the whole of Europe which I find crazy
>>
I do need to go to bed soon it's 2 am here is there any chance you want to keep in contact ?
>>
I also spoke to a girl once from Maine who used to tell how beautiful it was
>>
>>16587267
This. Being a chick is easy. Guys don't care about your income, your assets, your ride, just that you don't eat so much and aren't fat. Im attractive and I still think about banging chicks that I can tell want the D even if they aren't hot and are chunky. For me I care about the shape of ass and hips for some reason. I will see through a bit of fat to judge if I should bend you over.

Too fat and I feel you are just too damn lazy and will make me lazy.
>>
>>16587330
Gym is fine, but if you want to LOOSE weight, cut your food portions. Gym only increases lean muscle and brings up metabolism if you actually get active like an athlete
>>
>>16587429
I just simulate a completely different version of myself, which effectively becomes myself to any observer.

You can never be yourself. Give up. I did.
>>
>>16587648
>Sorry that was meant to be corbyn
I didn't even know it was a typo, I'm completely ignorant about that subject it seems.

>I can imagine I would love to visit some of the more rural areas such as the Louisiana swamps and your national parks, its a shame that we don't see this image of America enough in the media
Oh yeah, there's tons of great natural aspects to North America. The grand canyon and Niagara falls completely blew my mind.

Honestly, what I consider to be some of the naturally most beautiful areas would be the middle states like Colorado or the more western places such as Arizona or Northern California.

Louisiana has some good aspects, and was exceedingly beautiful in the 1800s, but has been mostly destroyed by unimpeded industrialism. The part of that state I'm most familiar with is called cancer alley just because of the pollution.

>also your one country is practically bigger than the whole of Europe which I find crazy
Yeah, that still surprises me to this day. Same with Africa, that place is unimaginably huge.

>>16587656
That'd be cool. Here's a temp email: [email protected] (hesitant to put my real contact info on 4chan). You can contact me there and then I could give you my real contact info if you're still interested. It's been fun talking to you.
>>
Did I just fucking read two people getting together on 4chan? Because that's awesome.
>>
>>16587701
...bastards.
>>
>>16587701
I've seen it before, and I've actually swapped contact info with people from 4chan plenty of times. It's not the craziest thing.
>>
>>16587701
this is terrible, where's MY gf???
>>
>>16587701
I get all of my relationships from 4chan. Swapping info is no guarantee things are going anywhere.
