Before you post a question, check here to see if it's already been answered
Keep your questions short and sweet for more answers.
And please no derailing arguments.

Avoid asking these common questions:

>Is it normal for me to go to a club/bar by myself?
Yes. Stop overthinking this.

>Do girls/guys like <insert specific look>?
Some do, some don't.

>I'm shy and afraid of people/rejection. What do I do?
Think positive, and get over it by practicing and exposing yourself to it.

>I like someone. What do I do?
Ask them out.

>How can I tell if someone likes me?
Ask them out.

>Where do I meet girls/guys?
Anywhere outside. Or online.

>Is my body part big/small enough?
>Am I short/tall enough?
Most likely

>Someone did something insignificant. What does it mean?
Nothing significant. Stop overthinking it.

>XYZ happened. Did I fuck it up with this guy/girl?
Maybe, maybe not. We're not in their head, we don't know. No amount of your walls of text will fix that.

>This person did something that hurt my feelings. Why do guys/girls do this?
Because shit people are shit people. It's not a gendered thing

>Would you date a virgin?
As long as they aren't insecure about it. Complexes are a total turn-off.

>Someone has made it abundantly clear they're no longer interested in me. Do I still have a chance?
No

>Where do I go on a first (or subsequent) date?
Pick one or more of the following: coffee, lunch, dinner, drinks, ice cream, movies, zoo, aquarium, museum, art gallery, <activity in your city>

>That one guy who keeps asking about cuddling in platonic friendships
No one wants to cuddle you. Stop asking

>Brandon or Female Brandon
Piss off.

>Frog
Also piss off.

Hey Truckerfag.

I'm the chick with the low sex drive. You told me to keep a food diary for a week. I did. But I don't want to spam the thread with my eating habits, what do?

How does one deal with mixed signals?

Sometimes this guy sends clear signals that he's into me (looking at me for prolonged periods of time, being touchy-feely when he isn't like that with other girls, that kind of stuff), but sometimes he sends clear signals that he isn't (tries to get away as far as possible, avoids starting conversation, etc).

I'm confused. Do I pay no mind to it? What do I do? He doesn't seem to be the shy type, which makes things even more confusing.
>>
Girls, do you not find it extremely prejudiced to say I only date white men?

I'm a white dude myself, and as someone new to PoF I keep seeing people say they will only date whites.

On one hand, it's their choice right? But, on the other that's narrow minded as hell. I don't really see how race even plays a part in love.

I guess I just don't really understand hook-up culture. People are just looking to get their fuck on I guess.

I guess it's just a constant reminder of how young our species is. We are more concerned with the material world and the body than the well-being of our self an soul.

I think I'm going to delete my PoF account aswell.
>>
>>16581136
>I don't really see how race even plays a part in love.
Black women do nothing for me, barring a special 1%. Meanwhile I'm attracted towards pretty much any white woman who takes care of herself.

It's not even about hookup culture, I just don't want to date someone I'm not attracted to and race is ultimately a factor and not just for skin color.

>I guess it's just a constant reminder of how young our species is. We are more concerned with the material world and the body than the well-being of our self an soul.
Yeah go have fun with your chakra
>>
>>16581136
i've personally never said "i only date white men" but i can also recognize what i'm attracted to. some girls like black guys, some girls don't. some girls like super muscular guys, other girls like chunky guys. for me, i don't think black guys are inferior, i'm just not attracted to them
>>
>>16581136
No, it's personal preference.
>>
>>16581142
I'm not sure what you are jesting at with the last line.

Our body is a vessel for the portion of that exists in the immaterial. Aka our creativity, ingenuity, our innate genius. That's why Hamlet calls it a Mortal Coil, It's the organic material holding us in this world when our minds and personality can be anywhere. Who's to say the "real" world is any less real then than in fictional world. It's real to the mind of the creator.

All that is to say Humans our body and routinely conscious mind is the very tippy top of the ice berg of a human being.

There is so much more to people than the surface and skin or any other racial features.

That's why I mean it's narrow minded. It's just a superficial representation of the person.

I'm sorry If that's much more than what you wanted to here, but I have alot to say about it for some reason.
>>
>>16581157
>I'm not sure what you are jesting at with the last line.
>Our body is a vessel for the portion of that exists in the immaterial.
It means you're clearly obsessed with new age mumbo jumbo.

>There is so much more to people than the surface and skin or any other racial features.
That's great and all but you need attraction in a relationship. If I'm dating an asian girl and every time I see her eyes I think of grey aliens it's going to go nowhere.
>>
>>16581163
ayy lmao
>>
>>16581163
if you can't sit through that until you learn to love them, you don't deserve her. this is how i feel about the ugliest first impressions and the prettiest. ffs its gonna take a long time for most people to reach this point
>>
>>16581163
FYI that isn't new age mumbo jumbo. Writers have been writing about this for at least since the late 1700s.

As for seeing grey alien eyes... I think that really is just straight up prejudiced. Just because it is different doesn't really make it strange or lesser. The explanation just sounds very contrived.

Think of it like this, a 20 degree angle and slighty squintier eyes prevent you from possibly finding the love of your life.

>>16581178
>I think that really is just straight up prejudiced
It would be prejudiced if I called up some of those alien hunters. The fact is I don't find certain traits attractive, so I don't date them. You need to learn to get over that.

Seriously, go have fun with your spirit stones or whatever.
>>
>>16581185
Maybe it's because with an attitude like that you don't get any dates.
>>
>>16581189

Question for guys and girls. But first some back story.

>meet girl. Hit it off really well
>make out the firs time we hang
>turns out she has a bf she never told me about
>he finds out about us and flips out
>she decides being with him is what's best for her and we cut contact for a while
>she comes back after realizing that was a mistake and we pick up where we left off
>she has issues with confidence, anxiety, depression, etc.
>says that I'm too good for her and she's afraid she'll hurt me or let me down
>tell her I don't care and want to be with her
>doesn't matter, she thinks it best we cut contact (again)
>in the mean time starts a relationship with a guy she's known for a long time and has gotten close to
>fast forward 2 month of us not speaking or seeing each other
> ~2 weeks ago she reaches out to me and says she misses me and thinks about me all the time
>tl;dr she says "I've never felt like this about anyone before. For whatever reason I can't shake you. I've felt worse these past 2 months after not talking to you than I did before"
>we decide to try again, mean while she's still in a relationship with this other guy
>been hanging out pretty consistently the past couple weeks. Get along great, make out, she spends the night (no sex, but lots of intimate cuddling), have deep conversations, finally taking the time to get to know each other, etc
>she says "the more you tell me about yourself the more I like you"
>but once again, is still in a relationship with this other guy
>says she doesn't want to be shady to either of us, and she's gonna tell this guy what's been going on.
>still hasn't said anything because "its a really difficult conversation to have"

I know the obvious thing for me to do is bail ("f she'll cheat someone selse with you then she'll cheat on you with someone else) but I'm completely in love with her so fuck that. What I want to know is how do I get her to break it off with him without sounding like a controlling dick? Pick semi related

Yeah, I forget to eat. I keep a pretty stable weight though, which is nice.

I have an annoyingly low sex drive. Which idk if it's directly to do with my diet since I still had this problem when I ate more.

A week or two ago I was asking guys about how frequent sex was required in a typical relationship, and truckerfag offered to look over my diet to give his opinion on how to help my sex drive.

>Guys (and maybe girls too?)

I've heard a stereotype about guys 'living it up' after a breakup for a while, then spiraling and becoming depressed/full of regret afterwards. For girls it's supposed to be the opposite, immediately depressed and full of regret and then after a time becoming happy and living it up.
Personal stories that confirm/deny this stereotype?
>>
>>16581416
I personally have experienced this in all of my breakups.

>>
>>16581416
Girl here. After a breakup I'm crushed regardless of who initiated it. With time the pain numbs and becomes manageable and I think of them less and less but I never reached that happy living it up part.
>>
>>16581416
Depends on the guy I guess. I'm usually a bit down for a while but I move on fairly quickly. When I am down, I just keep myself busy with work.
>>
>>16581286

Been there, done that. Had the same line of thinking you did about being in love with her. Fast forward a month and she was doing the same shit with another guy while we were dating.
You need to end it. And cut her off completely. Facebook, phones, everything. Cos she'll keep coming back. She's using you as a fall back. Someone who will be there when she has nobody to fuck. Stop wasting your time on her. Nothing good will come of it.
>>
>>16581348
It wouldn't hurt to even out your daily caloric intake. A 50% drop between any two days isn't going to help your case. 1600-1800cal is probably where you need to be in general, but varying 200-400cal a day isn't anything to worry about.

Your proteins and fats look a bit low. How's your meat and legume intake? Have you ever been tested for anemia?

What's your hydration looking like? Are you consuming caffeine or alcohol on a regular basis?

What sort of exercise have you been doing?

Are you taking any multivitamins or other supplements?
>>
>>16581416
No. All regret, all the time. My ideal lifestyle is in a long term committed monogamous relationship, so being single is one of the worst things that happens to me.
>>
>>16581487
>meat and legume intake
Not great. I get most of my protein through eggs, cottage cheese, greek yogurt, and shrimp.
>anemia
I've been tested, came back negative. She said that I'm kind of low though. I used to take iron regularly. I don't anymore since even the gentle stuff made my stomach hurt. I didn't bother buying a new bottle when I ran out.
>hydration
I make a point to drink water, I'd say good.
>caffeine or alcohol
Not often. I don't like caffeine anymore and being under 21 I don't have alcohol access.
>exercise
I don't, am starting up weight lifting. I used to jog/sprint every other morning
>multivitamins or other supplements
A probiotic, sometimes D

figure I'd post this here than start a new thread

guys/girls, how do you start sex? came close once and never got the chance to try again.

for guys, what do you do? start making out, take off her shirt/ bra, then pants, then sex? do you let her take off your clothes or what? whats the process i guess is what I'm asking.

Girls, how do you like this to happen, if there's a preference?
>>
>>16581544
Your thinking about it too hard. Just go with it damit. If she really doesnt like it she will tell you.
>>
Question for the girls:

Would you ever date a guy with aspergers/high-functioning autism?
>>
>>16581583
Nope. My friend's boyfriend's autistic and it sounds so fucking annoying

>>16581544
It just happens, don't overthink this. The more you try to think this through, the more obvious it is you're a virgin
>>
>>16581504
Looks like you aren't doing too horribly. I'd recommend a multivitamin, especially as you start lifting to get your magnesium, B vitamins, potassium, and iron up (your phosphorus should be fine), but since you claim to be sensitive to iron, you'll want to stick to something with an iron dosage along the lines of a men's multivamin, since they usually have lower iron content.

It's good that you've done some sprinting. You'll want to use that same sort of explosive energy while lifting once you've mastered form, especially with compound lifts. Once you're really getting your muscles building, that should help boost your circulation, and hopefully make you more prone to engorgement of you erogenous zones, which can help you along into arousal.
>>
>>16581623
>boost your circulation, and hopefully make you more prone to engorgement of you erogenous zones
Is that how it'll work? I worry since it's not like I get aroused without the physiological reaction, I just don't get horny at all. I don't quite follow.
>>
>>16581416
I thought it was the other way around.
>>
>>16581640

Arousal can start as either mental or physical. If everything is working properly then one will promote the other either way.

Guys: i made out with my (very new) bf and we both were horny. Sadly, i was on my period, so i gave him a bj. He seemed to really enjoy it and i feel like i did all i could "right". But after a while he went soft and i guess i couldn't have made him cum anyway. What happened? He's fucking huge, so i guess a bj isn't as satisfying as if you got a dick every girl can take in deep witheout any problem. What can i do to make him enjoy oral more and be able to cum from it alone? (yes, i'll ask him about it but i'd also like some ideas from you guys)

Girls,

I have a female co-worker who is always laughing extremely hard at my jokes (relative to the other women), she touches me from time to time when she passes my desk (back, neck) and I've caught her staring at me as I pass her several times. She's in a relationship though and she's kind of flirty with a lot guys. Should I steer clear or wait for her to break up with her boyfriend and then make a move? I'm leaning towards steering clear but I do find her very attractive (both physically and emotionally).
>>
>>16581809

>>
>>16581809

>>
>>16581811
How can you find her emotionally attractive if she is touchy feely flirty with guys whilst in a relationship? Do you want to end as a cu.ck like her bf now? Steer clear. Seems attentionwhory.
>>
>>16581813
Sounds like a plan. I'll try that next time.
Also, how tf should i be able to produce nearly enough spit? It takes some dt-ing first for me to have enough saliva to really get him wet all over. I had to take some lube yesterday...
>>
>>16581815
I had a feeling like it was going into that direction. It was the first time i gave him a bj that wasn't tied into having sex, so that could have been it. I'll just keep trying i guess
>>
>>16581821
Once he starts slamming his cock into your uvula things should get flowing. Don't swallow anything but cum. Scrape the top of your tongue with your front teeth right before you begin to get things started.
>>
>>16581829
I just tried that teeth/tongue thing. Awesome! Thanks in the name of my bf, anon
>>
>>16581832
Keep in mind, the saliva from the tongue trick isn't a very good lubricant. You'll need to get some mucus from the back of your throat mixed in as well. This is a part of what all the coughing in throat fucking porn is about; working more of it up from the lungs and irritating the throat and uvula to increase saliva production.
>>
>>16581840
Yeah i know. But this trick is good to start. Can't dt him dry

Ladies, is it a turn off for a man to be a Pacifist?

Obviously I will go full berserker overlord on any wild animal that tries to kill me or my friends/family/loved ones, but self defense laws in my country make it difficult to use "Reasonable Amount" of violence in self defense without being thrown in prison so yeah.

Nope. I can be sent to prison for using any object in self defense in my own home/apartment, like a knife or any heavy object.

Obviously I can use my hands and legs to defend myself but they would probably not be great against knives or gunfire or axes or other heavy objects an attacker would use to harm me.

I mean why the fuck should a citizen be punished for defending its own life or the lives of others?

And the attacker would get a much more lighter sentence anyways.

Girls, what's the one thing that's always able to make you laugh?
>>
This girl says she sees me as a friend, but she puts zero effort in actually being friends. If I want to meet she's completely booked; if I want to text she only responds to direct questions in a matter-of-fact way and takes ages to respond to anything else, if at all; if I talk to her in person she's mostly seriousness embodied yet towards another friend she's all fun and games; and she initiates nothing herself unless something's up and it's me she needs help from. Even now she's left a text of mine hanging for 4 hours, despite coming online a few times in the meantime. Unread, unresponded.

What am I supposed to do here? We go back about half a year and she wasn't always this way. I don't want to ditch her because she has genuine excuses for most of her actions, but come on. There's zero respect here.

Girls, are shy guys alright?

Also, when is it appropriate to say I'm shy?
>>
>>16582246
Absolutely. When you want her to know you are shy. For example, if you can't muster up the courage to make a move. Just tell her "i'm shy". It will probably make her go into adorable overdose and she'll be glad to take the lead.

How do I convince my older sister to have sex with me?

I figured but every time I try to pull away they have a melt down like they can't grasp why it bugs the shit out of me. Also got hit on randomly by someone on a pic and they replied with emojis which seems flirty but their reply about that was basically "It's just social media..." and I stopped replying when they kept saying stuff on my other pictures. It just seems like half a solution to me instead of just saying I'm with you and I'll take care of this for you. Meanwhile if I like or retweet anything that they think could even remotely possibly mean I'm unhappy with them they act distant. Double standards man.

how do you feel about hairy dudes? I'm 24, my chest is hairy/stomach is hairy and it spreads around over my shoulders a little bit and on the very sides of my back.

shaving it off/trimming it just makes it feel even worse because its super sharp on touch and I feel like women would hate that even more.

wat do.

as long as i can't braid it.....

for me it depends on the full picture, too. someone with a really pale skin and totally dark hair is kind of meh for me (though there will always be exceptions), but then if the hair is lighter, or skin is not of a snowflake, so the contrast is not too big, then i might like it.

>>
>>16582309
I enjoy all levels of body hair on men, I don't really have a preference. I like it when a guy is mostly hairless and very smooth, and I like it when a man is covered almost head to toe with that layer of soft fuzz. Overall I think I just enjoy being in an intimate scenario with a man and everything about him is neat at that point.

Thanks for the replies, I feel less worried now. I never had a girl complain about it before but I know its definitely not a dream scenario of any kind and I was always a bit selfconscious and insecure about it.
I'm a 6'2 ~190 pounds dude so I guess I carry it alright. Also I'm fairly light-skinned/pale and blonde so hair isn't too dark.

Irony of all is that my actual hair is thinning out and I had to cut my super long hair off and now buzzcutting it once a week. Life is funny that way.

How do I tell my fiance I want to call off the wedding? Her family wants to excommunicate her for marrying me, and I feel that once we get married, she'll have no one. I feel bad for her and think she'd have a happier life if she married someone her parents approved of.

FWIW I'm white, she's white, it's a matter of faith (I'm agnostic leaning Catholic, she's Orthodox). The problem is the Catholic bit.

>>16582446

I'm not even religious. I go to church for funerals or weddings, it's not like I go for Sunday service or what-have-you. Her family takes their faith seriously although she doesn't.

First off, you might not be able to. It's a lot easier than it is for girls, but like with women, not every guy cums the same way.

>>16582451
>would you hook up with girl who's in a relationship?

The majority would not. Many may.
>>

I've got a thing about this

It has to do with the way men and women tend to processes emotional situations.

Women tend to experience things when they experience them and are able to emote them. When they feel like they're dying relationship they whine, they complain, they cry, they talk about it to their friends, they feel everything that they feel, LOONG before the breakup occurs. The deal with it all bit by bit, over a prolonged period of time.

With men though, we're not really trained to deal with emotional situations. We instead are taught to think logically, to find the least emotional solution, to find the quickest solution that reduces our exposure to the situation, or to outright ignore it and "tough it out". So we try to deal with it all at a once (rip the band-aid off logic)

This means that by the time breakup happens, sometimes there are these cases where when it happens to a woman, she's ALREADY dealt with nearly ALL the emotional baggage that a breakup entails, days/weeks/months in advance, so she's just instantly able to pick up and move on.

But with a guy, maybe he's ignore the ENTIRE thing, and then when it his, he's completely blinded by the event. On top of that, in some extreme cases, because their system just isn't used to dealing with intense emotions and just doesn't know how to respond to the smallest thing, let alone the massive tidal wave of emotions a breakup can come crash down with. And they get overwhelmed

TL;DR:

Women tend to get used to dealing with emotional events, a little at a bit over long periods of time

Men: Tend to deal with emotional events as one giant block, all at once.

There's also this funny dynamic that sometimes women will go in to denial because they they just get TOO used to dealing with something to the point that they think it's normal. Whereas men will just bury their heads in the sand because dealing with it is just an uncomfortably terrifying prospect.
>>
>>16582145
Personally it's because I'm terrified/insecure.

I get stared at sometimes by strangers with no discretion and it makes me uncomfortable, so I'm really wary of being seen in the same way.
>>
Messaging girls from soc on kik. One girl was sexting with me last night but then read my last message and went dark.

>>
My boyfriend's biggest fetish is facesitting and always asks me if I could "indulge" him. I'm 100% against it, I think it's a little gross. He asks so frequently I think I want to break it off, am I being a cunt?

Part of me thinks that since I don't like it, he'll find someone else who will (cheating), part of me thinks its disgusting and by extension he's disgusting.
>>
I'd really appreciate any advice at all.

I've been with this girl for about a month. We had one date and she practically moved in, she sleeps here every night. She gave me my space in the beginning but now she's starting to make demands, and I only liked her to begin with because she went with my flow naturally. Not only that, but she likes to talk about getting pregnant by me because "she likes to stress me out" and sometimes she'll just stop mid-blowjob because "she likes to make me suffer." We haven't had sex yet, it's always just blowjobs and reciprocation. She had me blindfold her and lock her in handcuffs and even then I only fucked her face. The more demands she makes, the more frequent my sufferings occur. I can't handle getting halfway blown, its the fucking worst but she keeps doing it. I can barley even get hard anymore because of this teasing bullshit, my dick just goes, "nah breh, you can't fool me again." I did a lot for her in the beginning and now she's comfortable and used to my help, and she doesn't contribute to the same degree anymore. She hardly cooks or cleans anymore. I'm starting to resent her, she eats my food and sleeps in my bed and expects me to buy shit for the apartment that we basically share at this point, all while refusing to have sex for some reason. I feel as though I'm putting more into this than I'm getting back. I'm usually very domineering and controlling in relationships so I'm actively trying to be more abiding with her and I end up getting walked on. I'm close to readopting my usual emotional-manipulation routine but thats always bad for the chick emotionally and I always end up feeling bad about it after I dump them.

What to I do to save this, and how to I avoid the temptation to just control her? It would be so much easier but she already seems kind of emotionally imbalanced and I don't want to be responsible for making that worse.

>>
>>16582711
I'm fairly introverted. Would go out a little more than usual when I'm single though. Not clubbing or partying, but I would hang out with mutual friends of friends.

I'd get asked on a date maybe once every two months or so. Usually by a mutual friend that recently met me. Or some guy I went to school with that had not talked to me in a while.

In a relationship, male acquaintances have messaged me insinuated that they want more with me, but I remind them I have a bf and not interested. Less often, maybe once a year or so. Randoms that meet me and try to pick me up when I'm alone (at college, at the store, at a shop) happens on occasion, but I just decline politely.

Their approaches are obviously different if they know I am in a relationship, but the main difference is that once I say no to an acquaintance that knows I have a boyfriend, they kinda start to orbit around my social media.

Once my boyfriend deleted his facebook for a short while, then a lot of my high school friends started hitting me up on facebook. Kinda seemed like they beated around the bush a lot and asked if I was still with my boyfriend. I don't know if it was a coincidence or if they are watching my facebook or something.

But that's about it.
>>
>>16582451
I have a long history of it, fortunately or unfortunately depending on your perspective. The mistake which I only made once was thinking that it could translate to something more.

Hooking up is great. Not only am I enjoying it, but that girl is having the only kind of intimate contact which she should be having. Obviously she's got no business being in relationships. That doesn't mean she should live the wizard life though. It's a shitty way to reach that conclusion at the other guy's expense but, seriously, was she going to come to that admission in a more merciful way? Meanwhile I'd be passing up opportunity after opportunity while she just hooks up with someone else.
>>
>>16582580
Bump? I know it's kind of dumb but she's a pretty cool person to talk to.
>>
>>16582849
She'll get back to you if she thought the same about the convo. Otherwise it's safe to say that she went dark when she got bored.
>>
>>16582857
Alright. That was pretty much the first time it went that way, we had normal conversations otherwise. So no initiation by me, then?
>>
>>16582868
There's nothing wrong with initiating, but it wouldn't answer your question. Right now you care about finding out how enthusiastic she is about talking to you. You have to find that out the hard way.
>>
>>16582711
I honestly can't recall being asked out on more than two occasions in my life. My boyfriend is the second one.
>>
>>16582870

To both: Should I avoid Nymphomaniacs at all costs?

Yes the thought is obviously tempting for everyone.
>>
>>16582896
As long as you don't catch feels or STD's, I suppose no harm done.

It sounds like a bad time to be caught up in the intimate details of a nymphos life, it's probably depressing. Nymphos are generally selfish lovers too tho. Unless you're a pleaser, you're not gonna get a call back after the first night.

>>16582896

>>16582914

>>
So i guess this is a general question for everyone. i've always had trouble making meaningful relationships with women, i have plenty of friends but i've only truly gotten intimate with one person, and she's out of my life forever. My closest friends tell me i'm attractive, well-dress, well-mannered ect. ect., but consistently tell me that I shut myself off from women that are interested in me. that i shut myself from anyone interested. One of my close friends even got visibly offended when i told him I declined going on a date with someone he had been crushing on, she as very interested in me, but i was not in her. i'm not sure what it is, my friends are right, i always do this shit to myself. I haven't really been happy with myself for the past couple of years, i think the inability to getting intimate with someone is really getting to me. I have only hooked up with 1 girl ever in my entire life (we just made out), but a lot of my friends assume that I pull women with ease, but in reality i'm still a virgin. So i live a life where all my friends think i'm some sort of one-night stand connoisseur, when in reality im incredibly alone and have struggles romantically. what the fuck is wrong with me?
>>
>>16581126
Females do this too. It's really fucking with my head because you can't get a clear read from the person doing it.
>>
This is a little different from the usual posts in these threads, but bear with me.

My parents were very abusive and because they're "important" people, they got away with it. I want nothing to do with them and have tried to limit their ability to communicate with me as much as possible.

My dad sent me a message on Facebook saying that he wanted to talk to me on Skype, and that he wanted my bank account number to transfer money for me for Xmas. I absolutely do not want to do this. I don't want his money, I don't want to talk to either of my parents, I want no part of this whatsoever.

Here's the tricky part: I have to use my parents address as my mailing address because I live in a foreign country, and my bank refuses to send my mail anywhere that isn't in America. So I have to maintain some kind of line of communication with them in order to get my new bank cards. I fucking hate this and am currently seeking a way around it.

What do I tell my dad to get out of talking to him and get out of this situation where he's trying to get my account number to supposedly give me money as a Christmas present? Like I'd totally be lying if I said I didn't need the money right now, but the strings attached to that gift are something I don't fucking want or need in my life right now.

Advice?
>>
>>16583098
If your mail is getting sent to them, wouldn't they just be able to look at your account number on there?

A lot of this comes down the the fact that girls are kind of brought up thinking that STEM are 'boys subjects', so by the time it comes to them picking what they want to study, it's ingrained in them that STEM is not for them. When women complain that STEM is sexist, it's talking about the whole system, right from when kids are kids.

I can't speak for everyone, but I happened to go to school in a town where engineering and practical skills were pushed hard on everyone. The community culture is a strange mix of "do whatever you want as long as it's useful" and "women are just as capable as men."

The result is that year after year our high school pushes out men and women who go to college for technical and professional disciplines. Even those who didn't do engineering or medicine/pharma in my graduating class still pursued stuff like law, business, etc. Of course we had a smattering of teachers, secretaries, artists and so on, but to wrap it up I'll say one thing: I don't know of a single one who went into gender studies or whatever. In fact I'm not sure anyone from my hometown ever does.

So at least in towns like mine, I don't think the pic is true. If you encourage girls with the same practical rhetoric as boys then they embrace those fields. At the very least they don't whine about under-representation just because they personally have chosen other avenues. My experience makes me suspect that things like that pic happen when kids aren't given enough guidance and need something to blame for the consequences of that.
>>
>>16583148
Damn hormones. Though if that's all it is, I'm glad.

hey this one goes to girls
i had a crush on a friend of mine, talked to her about it, she pretty much made it clear that it wouldn't be "wise" for us to date. I was heartbroken for a while because i really liked her but managed to get through , tried to distance myself, but contact is inevitable since we're in the same group of really close friends. Now everytime we happen to talk to each other *something that i generally avoid* we get into heated arguments about stupid shit, and sometimes she gives me those stares man, those stares give me nightmares, and it's generally tense although several months have passed, how to resolve the situation? should i tell her we should cut contact? i'm afraid it's going to bring frustration to the whole group, at the same time it's really hard for me to go on like that

>>16583644

Dude.... not even a girl, but do you ever lie when your girlfriend is having a shitty day and asks you if she's being a bother or looks fat in that dress?
>>
>>16583649

Sure, but being a massively in to food, craft beers, and wine, I wouldn't at all be able to become one.

I'll say, since it's such a major part of my life, it /would/ kind of suck if I wasn't able to share that with my partner though. I guess i'm lucky in that my girlfriend learned to love craft beer and fine dining from me--she didn't at all drink or really eat adventurously before meeting me. That being said, I think I could manage if we shared enough otherwise (once dated a girl with celiacs, and while It made things tougher, it was kind of fun finding work arounds)

It's true, the first thing most girls ask a guy (and despite that they all won't ask it, they all expect it) when they start a relationship is for him to be honest, it means both not to lie

>still white lies will be needed

Also, it means that you need to say flat out how you feel towards different situations involving her, or just things in general, if you don't she might get the idea that you don't care about her etc, maybe some one could elaborate on this as well, anyway, I learnt this the hard way

How do I find a girl who isnt a whore. Someone with a sexual history you can count on 1 hand. Im a gentleman so women like to tease and flirt with me. I posted a few times a year ago about a girl in my o-chem lab and how I thought she liked me (she would always look at me in the eyes, initiate conversations, walk with me, little excuses to touch me and talk to me, etc.) Then I found out she had a bf, so I assumed she was just being really friendly. She would still always be super friendly and she would get excited when I saw her around campus

Now I found out she and her bf broke up. I'm questioning if she was really being friendly or if she was trying to hint at me (I felt like she was hinting but idk because I'm a hugless/kissless virgin) because her new bf looks like a white trash alcoholic version of me.

I guess I'm asking if the first paragraph sounds like she was into me, or if I'm a delusional virgin.

In part true, it's just skewed to fit the bad boys/nice guys thing. Everyone wants honesty in a relationship. That shouldn't be eye opening. I haven't heard that girls go after bad boys because they're honest. I've heard the opposite actually, he's a lost soul and she's going to change him into who she truly knows he is inside. So lumping it up to at least they're honest isn't the reason.
The other part that's true but just common sense, if someone is being nice to you, doing stuff for you, all claiming it's nothing and then they ask you to pay them back... No one likes that. Of course it gets a negative reaction.

Anyway, all of the similar-minded ~pure virgin waifus~ I know, myself included, don't really go out much because we tend to be more shy/reserved, but I don't know if that applies to everyone. When I am out alone, you can find me in a coffee shop, on a walk, or grocery shopping.
>>
>>16583669
honesty is surely something very important in a relationship, but i think what's more appealing to women at first is confidence, a man who knows what he wants and is not afraid to go and get it, but what do i know, i'm a man after all
>>
>>16583669
completely wrong. Of course nice guys want to have sex. Their guys. But what they try to obtain by being friends is so much more. They want your company and find joy in making you happen. Nothing the whores of today could understand.
>>
>>16583777
Thats why theyre so hard to find. Because they dont go out. Im not the type to just go up to a girl in a coffee shop because she doesnt look like a whore.

Hey, girls, why the hell do so many of you smoke? What the fuck, you spend lavishly on various comestic products yet almost nullify it by smoking.

This is both to guys and girls, why is smoking so relevant everywhere? is it still a trendy thing to do? Helps to fit in? It doesn't even get you high
>>
>>16583801
>Im not the type to just go up to a girl in a coffee shop because she doesnt look like a whore.
This hit so close to my special snowflake princess heart, laughing so hard (at myself).
Eg. earlier today I would be at Starbucks (why?!), find many hearts next to my name... Then start to wonder whether that's a company policy or the guy liked me. Decide it's a company policy, otherwise the guy would've asked for my number or something.

Kek I like how they all turned into redheads with glasses in the last panel.

To answer, I think this is only true in certain areas/countries. I live in a third world kind of place where people of either gender don't have as much luxury to take up useless majors like gender studies. My engineering classes tended more toward an even male-female split.

>>16583130
I think this is bullshit. I lived in the US when I was a kid and never, ever got the idea that science was for boys. I mean, maybe robotics and the like. But I think the bigger problem is that STEM isn't 'glamorized'. You can't connect it to celebrity culture or whatever, unlike gender studies and the humanities.

girls I need some help, how do i behave

This girl I've talked to for the past 3 weeks noticed that I realized she's chubbier than her pics on instagram, since although we were so in, and we still are, she resisted to hang out
and told me to be more patient with her

Well fast forward a week later, I see her randomly in a busy street and I'm in a car with my friend, so I messaged her saying that I saw her
Nothing really changed, the vibes are still good, though I think she's kinda disappointed since now I know she's fatter than she looks and she might think I've expected much better.

I don't know how to behave about it, I didn't change the way I'm talking at all
I really don't mind that she's kinda slightly more fat but she seems to have it as a big self esteem issue. She didn't even put up a picture on instagram since that day and it's been like a week and a half now.

Wut. Males are more likely to smoke than females

Nearly 15 of every 100 adult women (14.8%)

Women only pls,

if u meet a man and find out he takes medication for biploar disorder but hes caring, sincere, not a douche etc (and ur interested of course before finding this out) is this a deal breaker?
>>
>>16583861
I'd rather he tell me instead of me having to find out myself by accident. Secrets and dishonesty are the real dealbreaker.
>>
>>16583861
if it's under control and he tells me about the illness himself, as long as he doesn't get really depressed or have bad manic episodes it's ok, basically as long as i don't have to worry about him a lot and take care of him it's okay
>>
Guys - What does it mean when you begin taking an interest in the things that I like, drop the "we never really hangout" line, and ask me about my interests? Keep in mind this is a guy that I've known for a few years, and he usually just keeps to himself.
>>
>>16583857
Comparing which of the two smoke more is really not my point. I just don't get what's still driving people to take up smoking, especially for girls, because it contradicts with some things, like I mentioned in the post before

I'd guess it's unwillingly passed down to younger generations same as other things, we see olders do it and we want to try it ourselves , plus it almost seems like a rational thing to do, if they do it as well. Despite the era of popularising cigarettes in different media sources, 1/5 is a damn large part when it comes to smoking, but I would think it might be even larger
>>
>>16583874
I'd think that it's a sign of affection, girls do the same when they like someone, for example, if a guy is into basketball, volleyball, whatever, she will at least pay some interest to it, remember some things about it, make remarks about it, it goes vice-versa I think
>>
>>16583879
I think it really depends on where you live and your social circle. I live in Los Angeles and I don't know anybody who smokes. I have never and will never smoke and hang around people like me.
>>
>>16583861
It's fine, not a deal breaker. The deal breaker would be if the man would go out of his way to hide that he takes medication.

How do women deal with menstruation? How does your daily routine change when you're bleeding from your cunt?
>>
>>16584128
I curl up on my bed/floor/couch with a hot water bottle, pop ibuprophen like candy and whiiiiiiine until the cramps are done. One time I passed out from the pain. Collapsed on my way to the bathroom. I've heard of girls who vomit from the pain. Cramps are essentially contractions. So mini birth.

The actual period part isn't too bad for me. I just have to remember to change my tampon before I ruin my pants. I'm achy and have a head ache, but it's not the big rolling pain that are cramps.
>>
>>16584128
Heating pad and ibuprofen. I usually have to spend most of the first day in bed. Thankfully it usually comes on the weekend.
>>
>>16583905
How do you go out of your way to hide medication? Are you supposed to chit chat about it?
>>
>>16583950
There isn't really a set time, you'll know when you both start getting more intimate and talking about more deep and personal details with each other.
>>
>>16583861
I would keep an eye on it, but it definitely wouldn't be a deal breaker. You can be diagnosed and able to keep it under control. Plus I don't want kids, so the worry of passing it on is irrelevant to me.
I don't mind it being hidden either. I understand that some things are hard to talk about. I'm not going to take it personally. It'd be nice to learn about it someday just so I can be aware and able to help all I can. I'd expect it to come up in the natural progression of revealing our fears, vulnerabilities, and issues.

I was still learning about some of my boyfriend's insecurities and troubled past a year or two into the relationship.

There's this girl I like. When I talk to her she seems to just reply in monosylables and yes/no, we have trouble holding a conversation past the first line. She's sort of awkward but she's waaay less awkward with other guys. However she did try to engage me in conversation herself today (couldn't talk enough though cause I had to leave). Can't get a good read on this girl I work with. Me and her talk as often as we can while at work. We eat lunch together and at times eat out for lunch together. Couple of my coworkers point it out that we seem to get along quite well. She's told me before that she trusts me out of all our coworkers with certain things and topics of conversations. Also, on one conversation, she let it slip that she talks about me to her friends.
Now to me, this seems clear that she might be interested, but then there's this. Any attempt I've made to hang out with her outside of work was met by her being busy. We don't converse much outside of work, with conversations usually kept short. Now that she's on winter break, figure shed be able to hang, but can't seem to get a response.
I'm just a guy trying to hang out as friends if anything. What should I do? Is there such a thing as only being a work friend and not a real friend? Should I even bother being a friend at work if she can't bother to hang outside of work?

Question to both genders

Are curved/bent penises normal? How many of you have it? Is it any trouble to you/your partner?

I don't have Peyronies thankfully as my doctor said that's an extreme curvature with a problem of insertion and having extreme pain.

Guys,

Let's say your gf is thin and conventionally attractive and you're the best of friends and get along spendidly. But you simply aren't sexually compatible, ie, you like cuddling but anything beyond that is not sexually arousing -- do you still want to remain bf-gf?
>>
>>16585283
Not a guy, but he'll probably stick with you until it becomes unbearable. Sex isn't an insignificant part of relationships
>>
>>16585297
When does the lack of sexual attraction become unbearable?

When he meets someone whom he is sexually attracted to?
>>
>>16585303

>>

>>
do girls care about a guy's height that much?
>>
>>16585252

I think they're pretty cool looking on girls, whether they are skirt jackets, trenchcoats, peacoats, military style, short or long jackets, winter coats, etc., with large buttons in either double rows or an offset row (metal is nicest, though any material is fine so long as they're big), especially when worn with stockings and boots. Obviously this is more for winter or fall wear, when it's warm out then skirts and shorts are great
>>
>>16585312

Huh... well, that decision honestly falls on you then, can you handle a sexless relationship? How seriously do you both take your relationship, do you want this to be long term?
>>
>>16585331
I do, and I think he did, but not if there's going to be sex

So I think it'd be okay if it were a sexless relationship

The only I'd be worried about is if he met a girl he was sexually attracted to, which is pretty likely, there are a lot of qt3.14s in the world
>>
>>16585339

Does he talk about wanting/needing sex?
>>
>>16585346
No. I think he'd rather we never have sex because he is not sexually attracted to me

My girlfriend left me 2 weeks ago for a lot of reasons i won't go into right now.

We were Long distance. We primarily spoke over skype. She only really used skype to talk to me, she uses facebook and other phone apps to chat to others. In the first 10 days she just basically did not come online on skype as you would expect as she didn't want to talk to me, and we're doing no contact. I have it signed in but appearing offline, but basically in the past 2 or 3 days she has been appearing online, sometimes at totally random times like 3am (which is still evening for me), but also at the times we would always definitely speak at when we were together. In the brief contact we have had she said things like she wakes up in the night thinking about me, and she goes on skype offline to see if i am online. But then she also says she never wants to be with me again. We were together for over 6 years.

Does it mean anything, or nothing, does she want me to message her or am i over analysing and she's just needing skype to chat with people now for some reason and if i talk to her it will just annoy her? I really want to give her space because i think she needs it but think makes me feel like she wants to talk.
>>
>>16585360
Yeah, avoid that.
>>
>>16585375

The situation sounds strange to me.

I understand asexual/demisexual people, but I think they're really rare in real life, and the designation is usually used to cover up other problems. So it calls into question why the guy wants to be your "boyfriend" but doesn't want to do anything other than cuddle. If he truly lacks a sex drive, that's understandable and I can see why he has an emotional connection with you, but not a sexual one.

That's why I'm trying to guess, through the internet, what you two have talked about and how strong your relationship is. From the sound of it, you two aren't particularly open with each other, and you are concerned about him leaving you for someone he finds sexually attractive, so I kind of doubt that he is an asexual person.

So why, then, is he in presumably romantic relationship with someone he doesn't find sexually attractive, when he does in fact have a sex drive? I'd find that rather disingenuous.

My concern here is that I don't want to make you jump to conclusions about your relationship, because I'm not there and I can't gauge what you two are like together. Though you already have doubts about his intentions, which is why you're here.

Frankly, if this much thinking is required to sort out where exactly you stand with him, I think talking with him is really what you need to do. We can't figure it out from our vantage point, and us telling you whether we could survive a sexless relationship is a moot point (for me the answer is no, I wouldn't waste my time or hers because that would be cruel).

I just know that if you have this much doubt, and he doesn't do anything to alleviate it, it's just not a very healthy relationship. So go talk to him. Maybe he just needs time, and wants to develop feelings for you first before sexual attraction develops. Or, if he really just never ever wants to have sex with you, he needs to be upfront about it.
>>
>>16585399

I did have them at school two or three times. I remember once my male teacher stopped the lesson to look at me, bewildered, because I was shifting around and grimacing so hard. He asked if I wanted to go to the nurse.

Have you ever had the stomach flu or food poisoning? Y'know those rolling stomach pains? Where your stomach seizes up and is super painful for a few seconds, then it relaxes for a few more seconds, and then it seizes up again. I found those identical to my cramps. So close that I wrote off the symptoms as period cramps and didn't realize I actually had food poisoning/stomach flu until I started vomiting.

I'm surprised you didn't know that they were painful. At my workplace girls are always asking other girls for tylenol for their periods.

Yes, even more so imo.
If one of you catches feels then it's a terrible situation.

Do you want to talk to her? After breaking up with my boyfriend of four years, we met up several times in the year after. Mostly me helping him figure out how to live without me. And confirming that we're never getting back together.
My point is, you don't necessarily need to go dead contact.

If you want to talk to her, go online at the same time she is. See if she contacts you. Maybe send her a message if she doesn't.

We can't know her intentions with logging on unless you try.

>>16585453
I usually say that to mean I'm not interested in a relationship with you.
>>
>>16585528
I don't find it unattractive but it can be annoying. I dated a guy where I couldn't just lay a hand on his leg without him being overwhelmingly ticklish. We couldn't cuddle.
>>

I've met an adorable guy at my college who browses /b/, but when I got to know him more, he totally took /b/ home with him. In the sense that he'd only laugh at 4chan related material, he'd talk about gore and stuff. And when I added him on facebook, he'd argue in the comments of my post with my friends like a thread on /b/ and it was embarrassing.

If he separates /b/ from reality, then go for it. But the guy I met, it was like talking to /b/tard irl and annoying as fuck.

I think I must have an air of entitlement and disengaged expectation of everything that's coming to me. I think I inherently look down on girls as inferior. It seem to work well and girls seem to like my cold attitude towards them. I've even noticed when I try to be warmer and more affectionate with them it can drive them away. They love me when I treat them meanly. They lose interest if spare them a thought.

Can someone explain why it's like this? I'd just like to meet a beautiful girl who's my equal and we can be loving.

Your attitude attracts the kinds of girls who want to be treated coldly and as inferior.
>>
>>16585947
I don't necessarily want to date those girls. I suppose I don't need advice. I suppose after a point when everything else is good you have to keep looking for that great match and if you don't find then bad luck.

I'd say I get asked out at least once a week, but I work in retail so I have to act happy and nice for a living.

Guys: please stop hitting on women at their places of work, it's awful and awkward and makes me believe you will hit on any young woman who smiles in your direction.

Ha! This made me think of pic related

No, it's a dumb meme

Asking is the most concrete. As a woman I am not aware of my body language in the slightest.

i have a huge crush on my chinese secondary school teacher. i understand that she is average looking, but i have a really bad case of yellow fever. is this bad/strange?
>>
What's it mean if a good friend of yours (girl) stops talking to you out of the blue?
>>
>>16586054
It's all about what you do with it. It's not inherently bad to have those thoughts. You probably shouldn't hit on her or gush about how great it is that she's asian.

If you ever end up dating an Asian girl, never even hint towards yellow fever. It's rude.
>>
>>16586168
It means she doesn't want to talk to you anymore.
>>
>>16586168
>>16586199
Or she forgot about you. Not necessarily forgot out of spite. I don't talk to my friends from highschool. Because they moved and we don't have a place to gather daily to see each other
>>
>>16586201
This only just happened a few days ago, and we'd already made plans to hang out for the holidays. But I guess forgetting about me is preferable to not wanting to talk to me.
>>
>>16586211
A few days? I thought you meant a few weeks. Especially during the holidays, she probably has a lot going on. This is the last weekend to shop before Christmas. Saturday is the second biggest shopping day of the year.
If you have plans to hang out, just message her the day before to confirm the time/place. You're fine. Don't be so needy.
>>
>>16586054
If you're lusting after her only because of her race, that's a little messed up.
>>
Is it actually a good idea to not answer someone's text right right?

This girl I like messaged me back last night and I haven't responded yet because I dont want to look cringy or desperate.
Is this actually a good method?
>>
>>16586456
Depends on the message I guess. What'd she say?
>>
>>16586476
uhh I had asked her something and she said something like "hahaha I guess so" or something like that.

Its not an engaging conversation.
>>
>>16585780
It seems fake if she can only be friends at work but not outside. Not the type of people I would want to associate with I guess.
Now I'm more interested in being more friends with maybe trying to date after I get to know her more. I never had this happen to me, but then again, I've never met someone like this.

Any fit girls here?
What kind of bodytype do you/girls you know of generally look for? Is raw strength or aesthetic muscles more appealing? etc
>>
>>16586860
All I really care in terms of body type is that he is decently taller than me and not fat. Otherwise, some muscles would be nice, but I wouldn't be as specific/critical towards him as I am myself.
>>
>>16586993
>taller
Shit, forgot to bring that up too.
So uh, what about short guys? [spoiler]Such as 163cm / 5'3''
>>
>>16587004
Not her, but for some strange reason, I have always found short dark-skinned guys (around that height) yummy as fuck. Like Hispanic/Indian.
Mmm.
>>
>>16587004
>spoiler doesn't work here
Damn.

>>16587010
>Like Hispanic/Indian.
Double damn.
>>
>>16587018
>Double damn.
Positive or negative, out of curiosity? Lol
>>
>>16587025
Well I ain't one.
