This is a really good start.

Put some effort into your appearance. Shower regularly. Wear clean cloths. Keep your hair clean and kempt. Shave regularly or grow a beard (again, clean and kempt), don't stay in a perpetual state of stubble.

Stand up straight and keep your head up. Don't sulk about.

Get a social hobby, like sports or cooperative games.

I spent way too much of my life being the "creepy guy" and just now starting to grow out of it. These are things I've started doing and have made an almost immediate difference.

This, basically. Creepy (with the unfortunate exception of some rather severe birth defects) is mostly not about appearance. The little subtle cues you give off with your body language, the thoughts you choose to vocalize, the lack of experience you have with socializing and lack of familiarity with social norms, /that/ is what makes you creepy.

Defects aside, the only other aspects of appearance that play into "creepiness" come down to things that are entirely changeable like how you dress. If you look like you're in costume year round like /fa/ does for instance, odds are good you'll be creepy. Especially if you're asocial or awkward on top of that.
