i'm not joking. i got a business (economics) degree and applied to like 50 places and the only call back i got was a web design company because i put HTML, CSS, PHP, Javascript on my resume. funny thing is i learned that stuff in high school

but, like i said, part of the appeal of this job is how relaxed and laid-back it is. i don't really have much use for money besides food and a place to sleep (i have everything i need) so i just feel content at the moment. i haven't applied anywhere in months

perhaps what you should do is something thats ambitious, but fun. something where doing it is its own reward.

i work five hours a day as well, making slightly less than you do, so have lots of spare time. even with friends, cuz i only see them once maybe twice a week.

so all my spare time goes into making independent films and web series. nothign serious, just for fun. it gives me something to work towards with goals and planning and such.

maybe you'll draw comics, write a book, join a league, etc.

my ability to do work well and make a company profits isn't affected by who i know. yeah i don't have an expansive network of older adults who have years of work experience, everyone i know is about my age and either just graduated or still taking classes. i'm not like that one kid who dropped out but it's fine because his dad owns an accounting firm. yeah i knew a kid like that, just smoked spice and did robitussin every day. maybe he is more deserving than me because of his daddy, oh well. i never understood the whole "networking" thing. i guess i just wasn't cut out to make it :'(
