Hey guys so my dad gets this really weird feeling sometimes where he feels very weak, detached and disconnected and he can sometimes smell strange scents that aren't actually there. It only lasts for a few seconds but he says it's a horrible feeling that's disorienting, and it's been happening about once a week ever since he got an allergy injection 3 years ago. He is 53 and I would seriously appreciate any advice. Thank you in advance

Let's say you live downstairs and there is this person that lives upstairs. walk past this person who never talks other then saying hi. Let's say you talk about this person everyday because that person is strange but not a harm to you. What is the longterm effect of that someone being on your mind everyday but in a " he is very strange " but in a bad way despite not being a harm to you?

No I'm not schizophrenic, this is hypothetical. It's just hard to describe the question.

I am a 21 years old kissless virgin and I believe very strongly that I have a legitimate phobia of women.

>Have plenty of male friends and a very active social life
>Lots of female acquaintances, but no girls I could really call "friends"
>The idea of speaking to a girl one-on-one legit fills me with DREAD
>If a girl so much as sits next to me I become uneasy and almost physically sick
>I get raging hard-ons from the slightest touch of a woman, like if a girl puts her hand on my arm for a few seconds

Some examples of things that have happened to me

>Girls give me looks in the club or start dancing close to me and I blow them off/legit walk away because I'm so scared
>Had Tinder for 2 weeks, matched with about a dozen girls I genuinely liked, couldn't message a single one because too scared
>Constantly have to repeat myself in front of girls because I mumble my words so much
>Had had girls come on to me, rest their heads on me, literally cuddle with me for hours and I've sat there frozen because I don't know what to do
>One time a girl begged me to kiss her and I refused because I don't know how to

None of these kinds of things happen to me with men. I'm a decently confident guy, I do acting/debating/public speaking, I enjoy socialising and going out. But when anything involving the female gender happens I turn into jelly. Do I have any hope at all?

/adv/, help me out of my funk please.

I'll make this as brief as I can. I asked a classmate out and she told me she had a boyfriend during our date. I lied (badly) and told her that it wasn't a date and I was just being nice. Big. Mistake.

We actually became good friends and I suppressed the hell out of my feelings. Last month, I ended up telling her I liked her and she confesssed that her bf was just a friend. She only wanted platonic friendship out of me, though. She could name all my best qualities but didn't actually want to be with me.

After a few weeks, I got fed up and followed the advice of Corey Wayne (Look him up, he's a goddam genius.) and told her I wasn't okay with just being friends and "left the door open".

Pic related happened last Saturday. I'm feeling nervous and I miss my friend. She was very supportive but I knew I would only hurt more if I stuck around. Any helpful advice?

19 year old about to enter college here. I haven't had a job for 8 months and I can't find one that would call me bsck. the only one that did ask for am interview my mom told me not to do since it's a waiter job paid by tips. I have used so much money on my debit card and I might run out soon (my mom spent years saving for it)

tl;Dr why is it so hard to get a CALL back from jobs as teen? why do managers say "OK I'll check your resume" and put it under a pile of shit and forget about it?

My girlfriend spoils me and treats me like her child. Is this weird? She constantly pesters me with being a better person and congratulates my achievements. She's older than me. And she also takes care of me. Makes sure I eat right. Helped me move out of my own home. Honestly I love it. But now that I think thoroughly about it. It's kinda weird. What do you anons think?

On a plan for weight loss
Have a question:

I am on a 1200 calorie diet and doing a 16/8 intermittent fast every day. I do fasted cardio about 4 times per week for 45 mins and I do a 19/5 intermittent fast once a week. Also doing a 40-40-20 carb/protein/fat ration on my diet.

Been going 2 months now and I've lost 11 pounds. No issues, I am not tired, I actually feel great.

I was seeing consistent weight loss, but I have completely plateaued for the past 2 weeks. I recently joined a fitness accountability group. Posted my frustrations with the plateau. A bunch of older overweight women are telling me I need to eat more to lose weight and complaining that I am starving myself (therefore not losing weight?).

Is there any truth in their statement? I thought all it is is calories in, calories out? Still doesn't explain the plateau. Any halp?

Let me preface by saying I'm happily with my girlfriend of 5 years and would never dream of cheating on her. This is simply just to uunderstand what's going on a bit better.

I absolutely detest loose women, hoes, thots, sluts, whatever you want to call them. that's just me and id never go out of my way to attack such a woman or argue with someone about the topic. However, often times at work these kinds of women show up, and flirt with me, and though I won't act on it, I find myself extremely attracted to them. What's going on?

I need help. I think I screwed up the best thing I had and I have no idea how to fix it.

I've been with my girlfriend for 3 years now. Last night we went to a friend's house and when I was walking her home those mexican looking dudes walked to us, two of them. One had a knife, I think the other had a gun under his jacket. They told us to give them everything and first they went to her. And I freaked out and ran away while they were distracted.

I was just so fucking scared. In my mind I thought they wouldn't hurt her she's a girl, but might kill me. I ran home and just locked myself in my apt. I know, this is the worse thing anyone could do. I wish I could take it back.

I kept calling her house to see if she made it come and was okay, until I had to ask her mom to tell her to call me when she made it back. She got home like 2 hours later and I finally could talk to her. I asked if she was okay and she replied with the coldest voice possible that she was. Then said the guys even gave her back her wallet and phone. I asked why she took so long to came back home and she just cut the call.

Now she doesn't even want to see me. Is there any way I can fix this?

So tomorrow I'm going to a friend's birthday party and a friend of mine is going to give us a lift there. Thing is since his car will be at full capacity, another good friend of mine (female) will have to sit on my lap. How do I make sure not to get a boner when that happens? I was thinking fapping beforehand, but would that be enough?

I'm currently 25, unemployed and still living with my folks.

Should I even bother putting myself out there on the dating scene or are those two big no-nos enough to steer away any prospects? How would I even go about warning someone of these unfortunate facts?

Hi there, /adv/. I was involved in a car wreck recently. Pictured is a rough diagram. If you need more info, I'd be happy to provide it.

My issue is, this girl made a left turn without waiting for me to pass through the intersection, resulting in me t-boning her. Now, I didn't get a ticket for anything, I wasn't in the wrong whatsoever. I've been talking with her insurance representative, who says they'll only pay 80% of the damages because she alleges that my left turn signal was on, and she believed I was making a left turn. I was not in the turn lane, and as you can see from the diagram, I had just finished making a left and straightened my wheel out, so there was no reason for my turn signal to have been on.

However, there were no witnesses. My car was a beater, but it was my only form of transportation. Should I settle for 80%, or do you think it's plausible I could get more?

How can I deal with an adult family member who's a little dumb, but gets upset when she feels patronized?

I don't mean it in the "I'm a 200 IQ fourteen year old and everyone is beneath me" sort of way. She's genuinely dim. She has trouble following ideas longer than one sentence. I don't think she can actually learn anything new and retain it for longer than a few days.

Short of literally never talking to her outside of holidays, is there any way to coexist without triggering her anger? I think she's starting to believe that everyone hates her because she simply can't understand them.

Yeah I did the mistake, sometimes you should really just follow your parents advice and never lend money unless you are ok of never seeing it again.

Long story short, met a great black coach 15 years older than me. The guy saved my life by training me, giving confidence, went out to explore the city etc. I considered him a great friend but still, I was cautious. One day I gave him a lift and just before leaving he said if I could transfer him 2.5k$ for some family issue I can't remember. I initially refused but he played with my trust like "bro we know each other for a long time, I'm not that type of guy" and how he wasn't a kid unable to pay his debts.

A few weeks goes by and I gently remind him if he can pay some of the money. He agrees and the week after he gives me 560$. That was 3 years ago. I kept training with him and reminded him every few months but he never gave me more than 50$ at the time. He kept inventing excuses and all. The guy coaches national level track and field athletes and is also in the music industry but holy shit he never has time to pay his debt.

I have no written account of this transaction (transfered online to his bank account) and I can't get violent or fuck his shit up because he knows quite dangerous people.

Am I fucked?

I have a shitty roommate. I'll go into it more if anyone asks, but suffice to say this guy is pretty much fucking bonkers.

He gets free food from a charity but lets it rot because he doesn't actually want it and neither do I or my second roommate. He called the landlord a homophobe, despite the fact that the landlord was raised by a gay man. Has a suitable job but pays rent on time maybe 1/3 of the time. We're expected to pay the rent all at once, so the late fee applies to all of us.

The landlord decided, obviously, not to renew his lease. But he's still staying. He just won't leave. The landlord doesn't want to pay 600 dollars in court costs to get him arrested for trespassing, and asked me to get rid of him before he had too. He heavily implied moving us to a more expensive unit if he has to deal with it himself.

My other roommate (whose bright idea it was to let this psycho move in) came up with the genius plan of tricking him into moving out by pretending to move out ourselves. I explained that no, that would not work because he will just stay there under the assumption that he was entitled to his room regardless of anything else in the whole world.

I've considered threatening to call the cops and ruin his (unfounded) hopes of getting into law school, and physical intimidation. The first option is more likely to work because I'm a skelly boy. A tall, broad shouldered skelly boy, but a skelly boy none the less.

Any help you could provide would be extremely appreciated. Also of note: this guy has gotten extremely confrontational in the past, but I could take him in a fight. He would likely be homeless for at least a while after I kick him out.
