Really interested in a girl I have no business being in to. Im 25, she's 20.
I have no reason to be interested in this girl. We have almost nothing in common besides love of conspiracy theories and both of us suffered a period of extreme loss due to traumatic accidents. We have zero hobbies in common as well. Basically being hypersensitive more than callous, ironically. Great girls though, I'm still close friends with most of them and we laugh about it now.
Up until I was sixteen I did not particularly care about boys, I just obsessed over my friendships.
I felt very unattractive. I was a late bloomer with small breasts and looked quite young for my age in general. I felt underdeveloped and like a kid next to young ladies. For a long time boys blatantly gave other girls treatment (little things like asking if they needed help explaining something) they wouldn't give to me (or my friends, we were pretty much the loser clique) and that stung a lot. I felt like the kind of girl who's technically a woman, but not "a woman" in the exciting, sexy sense of the word. I was obsessed with breasts and for some time massaged the tissue and whispered made up spells hoping to make them grow and make me look older and more womanly.
You could not pay me enough to go through that again, honestly.

A girl who has been my friend for a little over 2 years now has been with this guy for nearly 3 years and he is abusive. I've been trying to part them for almost a year now but it hasn't work, but I'm not sure if I should give up. I feel as if I should just disconnect from her and never talk to her again. I cannot smile properly.
The best that I can manage is a wry smirk or a soulful gaze. Many of my friends have commented on the fact that I seem to wear a perpetual slight smirk. This is quite unfortunate when it comes to photographs because the person taking the photo (generally a family member) will usually demand a more expressive smile, but it's something I simply can't force. Baring my teeth would make me look like an escaped patient from the mental ward. The usual effect is an exaggerated smirk which, when combined with my tendency to blink in photos, makes me look like a retarded pedophile.
I understand that most of smiling is accomplished through the eyes, but this is something that I just can't fake (at least not without a mirror). I wonder if people look at these photos and see the emptiness and depression bleeding through, or just a creep?
Is it possible to learn how to smile, or is it impossible for a 'broken' person like me? Even if I can't feel happiness, I can at least look that way, right?

From someone who has a nice smile and really expresive but doesn't smile often: don't force it, specially not in photos. People will call you angry or serious (like if it was bad) but its better than look forced on photos, really. When you are having a good time you will smile genuily, and thats all that matters.

ok ive had it with my sister and there are several things that i need to discuss with her but right now i need your guys' help with something immediate
so my sister and dad get into an argument about driving, this usually happens, we went to see a movie and it was ok till the movie ended, i went to ask my sister how it was, she gave me a bland "it was good" in the most monotone voice possible, i try to ask her about a specific scene she said "i liked it" in the same tone. i asked my dad about what happened and he said "ahh she just hates it when she cant have it her way" so we get into the car and head back home. i kept pressing my sister answers about her new behavior, this is what she had to say: "i have realized that i will always be a chump in my fathers eyes, so i will forever be obedient and non chump like for the remainder of my like" now theres a thing you should know about my dad, if you ask him something a little to outrageous, hell say ok in that moment, but when the time comes to do the outrageous thing, he'll back peddle and call you a chump. this is something he would do to us as kids, but when we became teenagers and our demands got to be reasonable, he still did the chump thing, and so i guess my sister snapped and has probably lost faith in her father for requests.
so shes been talking in this monotone voice and she keeps stating "oh nothings wrong, this is the real (her name), why do you think im not talking normal?" it got old real fast and my dad went to talk with her as im typing this. can anyone help me out? pic unrelated

Is there any reason I should smoke? I tried some out of curiosity a few weeks ago and I occasionally smoked once or twice every week since then. I don't like the smell it leaves on my fingers and on myself, since I'm 18 I guess I sound dumb but I feel like it makes me look "cool" too. Especially since a lot of my friends openly smoke cigarettes and weed (I don't). I don't have a problem with drinking or smoking hookah, but I wouldn't mind having a smoke with my beer when I'm out with friends. Should I smoke in these cases?

Probably not related, but my dad never drinks or smokes (age 45), and he always tells stories of how people confuse him for someone in their 20s. Unless you want to look like a prune in your 40s, you probably shouldnt smoke
