I personally think its bullshit that they only go out with equal to or taller men. I think its purely based on confidence issues with the short male not wanting to look short next to his partner and taller women not wanting to look bigger than a guy.
Putting those two things aside I don't see how there can be any issue with it.
I never have actually tried.Could it be all b.s
>>16447332
You're very correct op. But then again it could be the woman's problem with you being shorter. Nothing personal, but she might not be over shallow aspects whereas you might be over them.
>>16447399
True
but that would contribute to my thoughts about it being a confidence issue. Im pretty sure shallowness comes from such..could be wrong.
has anyone ever use OKC?
how did you like it?
any tips
>>16447233
Not as good as finding someone irl.
My buddy used it to find his current lady friend. He said it worked fine for him. They started off messagin each other, then met.
Just like any other dating website.
theres an okc subreddit, i'd recommend getting your profile reviewed there to fine tune it
My bf has the opposite of a foot fetish. He always wants me to have socks on when we have sex. When I don't, he doesn't say anything but I can tell it kind of turns him off. I have pretty normal looking feet. He always keeps his socks on no matter what. I feel a lot more comfortable barefoot, what do I do?
>>16447208
Talk to him, not us.
>>16447213
He really has something against feet and he can't explain why
>>16447208
Sock fetish is a thing.
I need some help
I have a crush on my Spanish teacher
He's a cute guy 28 years old
Sorta built, has mustache, heavy Spanish accent, nice ass and bulge, plays soccer.
Long story short should I tell him about how I feel about him or keep it to myself
Also how do I get to know him better while not being an annoying student
do it after he's no longer your teacher. even if this magically turns out to work and you start hooking up, it could affect his career.
>>16447151
>should I tell him about how I feel about him or keep it to myself
Keep it to yourself.
>how do I get to know him better while not being an annoying student
You get to know him as a teacher and nothing else.
>>16447160
He's married that's why I'm asking
It doesn't seem right to tell him but my mind tells me different
Just lost my virginity and shit was anticlimatic as fuck.
-Spent a lot of time (around 40+ minutes) without cumming, had to occasionally fap myself to cum
-It kinda stretched my penis head and was too tight at first
-Got tired to the point of dropping sweat on her when we wre abour to finish
-She said she enjoyed it but I have my doubts, she was probably being nice to me or whatever
-Condomless felt a little better but still enjoy fapping a lot more
Shit guys, I was expecting amazing things from this shit, thought I'd be coming at the mere feeling of my penis entering a vagina. What the hell is my problem, do I have a small dick? Am I out of shape? Am I a faggot?
>>16447119
Well, she may have actually liked because she won't stop messaging me and sending me music videos, although all my pals said girls do this kind of shit. If only they fucking masturbated they'd know what the fuck they want.
Anxiety anon. Anxiety is the answer to every question you just asked. But it's okay! Now that you've jumped over your 'first time' hurdle, things will only get better from here.
Also, did you use lube? Lube is your friend. But don't use oil-based, it can break down condoms.
Should I leave? My boyfriend got really drunk last night and broke something of mine. He also yelled at me, called me a bitch, that we should break up because I left him alone, (we're on holidays in a different country) which scared him because he didn't know how to get back to the hotel. He stood over me and pushed me against a wall and almost had a fight with another guy because he saw what was happening to me. An old man even tried to calm him down. He caused such a huge scene and he knows how embarrassing that makes me. When he sobered he apologised and said he won't drink again. He's acted very emotional before but it's only happened 3 times in our 6 year relationship. Please help. I am so depressed and don't know what to do.
Op here. I should add he's gone out to replace what he broke of mine and will be back anytime. Does that make him good?
I think you know how glaringly obvious these red flags are. These occurances and infrequent now but they'll increase over time
Him being verbally abusive when drug and then making up for it does not make him good.
If he proves to you that he won't drink and treats you with the respect you deserve, then stay with him.
If he doesn't, I think you know what to do.
Give him one chance to give up drinking. Make it very, very clear that you are done with him if he drinks again. And please, stick to that promise if he does lapse. Don't turn into my mother and keep giving him chances, one is enough.
i'm a modern girl, but i fold in half so easily when i put myself in the picture of success
>>16447105
I'M A CREEP, I'M A WEIRDO. WHAT THE HELL AM I DOING HERE.
Seriously, grow up.
>>16447105
>what is success?
Being a virgin until marriage or at the very least not being a harlot. You'd be a rare gem in this day and age. Having self respect.
>>16447108
>Seriously, grow up.
i'm trying :(
>>16447110
>Being a virgin until marriage or at the very least not being a harlot. You'd be a rare gem in this day and age. Having self respect.
well, it's too late for all of that. anything else? :/
In a few months, I will have my emt-b license. I know this may seem weird, but I’m kind of nervous for the gore part of the job.
>why are you getting an emt license if you cant deal with gore?
The thing is, I have no problem seeing fucked up pictures online, but I’m kind of nervous to see up close and personal. Anyone else in my/has been in my situation?
>>16447060
My brother is an emt and from what I hear, there aren't as many gory cases. Maybe he hasn't told me about them though
>>16447073
I live in Chicago and will be working for CFD and a local hospital to get hours. Friend said he has gotten a few traumas already.
>>16447060
hi friend. i work in healthcare too.
when the time comes, i don't think you'll be as freaked out as you think. in the work setting people kind of take on the professional role. you will too, i bet. i mean everyone seems to.
you'll see the gore and will be all business. don't worry so hard.
Resume Thread

First, consider using a phrase different to 'academically gifted'.
Try:
>I am a graduate of X institution and achieve a GPA of X. In addition to these grades, which are a testament to my analytical and problem-solving capacities, I was the recipient of X awards/recognitions.
This substantiates your claim, and does not sound like hubris, but a profile of your skills which they can see have substantiation by others than just your own words.
The same needs to be said for these 'excels at teaching and communicating ideas'. Says who? What evidence do you have for this? What are you going to say at an interview when they ask for examples? Include this, if only in brief.
Underneath your position/experiences, you should write a paragraph of four to give sentences explaining the role and focusing on both the technical and interpersonal development undertaken in that role in relation to the Selection Criteria of the job description you are applying for.
You also need a Cover Letter. This should gesture to your resume and give your assessors/potential employers reason to read further.
Also, what is 'errata'? The plural of 'erratum', writing/printing errors? Why is that a header in your resume? Do you mean 'extra'?
My objective changes depending on what I'm applying for. What am I even qualified for?
>>16447013
I'm not the most experienced, but I don't like your summary. Dean's List and other academic achievements rightfully go in your education section, and nowhere else. "Diverse set of hobbies" is a waste of space; everyone has hobbies. If you really want to put your hobbies, put it at the bottom of your resume.
Either make the top part an objective or a summary of skills, basically. The rest of your stuff is fine
>>16447013
>so speshal and gifted
>periods on sentence fragments
>random capitalization

Why does everyone say that being a teacher is stressful? Surely it is less stressful than being a nurse/surgeon/adjunct professor?
>>16446976
It depends what age group you teach. K-8th grade is basically an overpaid glorified babysitter.
>>16446976
Because, at least in the US, a lot of teachers have seen their jobs completely transformed thanks to No Child Left Behind, Common Core and creased standardized testing. I read many articles where teachers have complained that their job is no longer about helping kids, but about catering to bureaucracy. Kind of soul sucking.
Also, neglectful parents and delusional helicopter parents.
>>16447002
I thought teachers were underpaid..
What's the best way to prepare for Star Wars episode 7?
Watching it in order 456123? Or 123456??
>>16446967
Uh, there was no Episode 1, 2, or 3.

I'm really confused Anon, there's only three movies. The new trilogy hasn't come out yet.

If you must watch prequels, 45237. Ignore 1.
Hi /adv/,
I've been thinking lately, about beliefs. From years of lurking on /b/, I've come to realize that most of you do not believe in a God. While this does not represent everybody, it is clearly a majority on this website. Likewise, most of you believe in evolution. I'm not judging, nor am I taking a stance, just pointing out what I've observed.
I, too used to believe in things. God, Santa, socks, you name it. I've come to realize that I don't believe in... anything. At all.
Is this normal? Can anybody else relate? Am I just depressed? (I've been feeling depressed and overwhelmed since starting grad school).
I'd love to hear your thoughts on this.
Agnostic.
>>16446962
>>16446962
You're not wrong.
If you had to slap a label on me regarding religion, it would be agnostic atheist.
As I've said, I don't believe in a God, as I've seen no evidence for one.
Could I be agnostic about everything though? Like, why must people have beliefs?
>>16446954

Be honest anons who are parents ....if you had found out your son is attracted to little kids ( but NEVER EVER touched one) how would you feel?
Pity, sickness, sadness, but understanding that it is a psychiatric disorder I'd take them to a psychiatrist.
I'd feel a bit disappointed. That's it'd be my fault my son is was attracted to little kids.
I'd get him help though, like a therapist or something. Not because of shame but because people do need help.
>>16446950
Very sad for him and eager to get him help.
I'm pretty sure I have the flu. I think it's just beginning stages. I have a small fever, body aches, diarrhea and vomiting. My head feels like a pressure cooker, I want to sleep but can't get comfortable because of body pains and shit. What the hell do I do? I haven't had the flu in over 10 years.
I just hear to drink a bunch of water. So do I just ride it out from here. Would a doctor tell me any different?
Take some asprin, drink orange juice, have some soup, ride it out.
>>16446863
Hey OP. I am sick too ): I get ill every couple months, so I'm basically an expert at this.
You should drink water and tea. Food is not really necessary when you're sick because the energy is better spent fighting the infection. Digestion takes energy. Of course eat maybe a bowl of soup every day, but if you're not hungry don't force yourself. But if you are hungry, it is perfectly ok to eat.
I don't recommend decongestants, as they reduce the production of mucus. The mucus keeps your lungs and nose clean- removing bacteria. Don't take Advil or Tylenol. If you have a fever that is under 102.5, that is good. The fever is killing the bacteria or virus. If your fever goes over 103, see a doctor or hospital. If it is over 103.6, you should go to the emergency room. Brain damage can happen if it's not treated.
Water is very important. If you are not getting enough water you can get very very sick. If you can't keep any fluids down for 12 hours, it's time to go to to the hospital and ask for a fluid IV. Or you can call your doc and ask if he will do saline at the office.
Sleep as much as you want and call out of work as long as you can. Take pepto bismol for your poops. And Tums (calcium tabs) are good for your stomach. Feel better OP

better to avoid the dr if youre not dying/dehydrated/too feverish. you will get others sick ):
In the sweetest most indirect way, how do I tell her I will only give her money if she sleeps with me?
This woman who's actually pretty hot keeps asking me for money and sending me long sob stories about her family in hopes I say "Sure I will give you this absurd amount of money!" and honestly I'm not willing to give her a cent unless I get something out of it.
Need help because I'm socially inept.
you dont because im sure it will backfire and she will post screencaps of the convo to everyone (:
if you want to pay for sex see a massage parlor worker
>>16446854
>if you want to pay for sex see a massage parlor worker
I really am not interested but I don't want to just dump my money for nothing. She seems pretty desperate for the money.
So I lightly implied sexual favors in return for the money and she understood but seemed uncomfortable. At that point I pretended that I actually meant something else and made the save.
