You sort of instruct your body that there is no need to pump chemicals into you as you are better able to maintain the panic mode while free for anxiety. Think of it like instead of going backwards on the acute state of awareness you've achieved you actually hone it further so that you understand that the anxiety is only needed one something does happen and that you are better kept safe by having a clear head to keep aware of your surroundings. Like, upgrading it.

as counterintuitive as it seems, i've found several on tinder. by selecting for interesting settings and profiles rather than boobies (while not picking unatractive ones though!), by including risky information in my profile (like being a nihilist) and by asking personal questions.

It's a combination of finding interesting ones and finding interesting things in one, like talking about what drives her to do stuff rather than the stuff itself. example: I couldn't care less about painting or drawing, but I do make music. those are different things, but we might be doing them for largely the same reason.

It's a stupid theory. Men and women behave in different ways because, evolutionarily speaking, we're designed for different roles. Notice how gender roles are evinced by other great apes as well, to say nothing of lower primates or other mammals. Notice also how even societies isolated from each other tend to develop similar (though obviously not identical) gender roles over time. And I'm speaking as someone who has actually worked as an anthropologist (well, anthropology degree, worked as a linguist and archaeologist) -- the nature vs. nurture debate is far from solved but claiming it's all, or even mostly, societal conditioning, is just ignorant. Sorry.

That's not to say, of course, that men and women can't display traits that typically belong to the other gender, and so on. No one's claiming individual variation doesn't matter.

Also, this really doesn't belong on advice.

I think everyone in the building has made a complaint by now. He hasn't attacked anybody but he's bat shit crazy. Talking and yelling at the trees and flowers all night, shitting and pissing on the grass.

Because he's crazy and homeless the cops don't want to deal with him so they pick him up, take him in for a night and drop him off at a shelter the next morning. He just wanders his way back and sets up camp again after a day or two.

My rent got upped by a hundred dollars for a few months and as a result I haven't been able to pay my internet bill. I'm currently leeching off my neighbor's wifi. Sucks shit because I wanted to play FFXIV since it's free for a few days this month.

Other than that I'm just waiting for christmas. Hoping to get a vape, Heavensward, and a 60 day FFXIV time card. But, I'm a grown ass man so Christmas is usually like "here's a hoodie and a shaving kit." Would be cool, though.

Aside from that, I'm looking forward to a doctors appointment on the 11th to maybe get prescribed adderall. I had a psychiatrist appointment today but the indian bitch didn't give me shit.

I'm not looking forward to seeing the psychiatrist again, so I made an appointment with a GP that specialized in psychiatry.

And yeah I live on my own. Bills, bills, bills.
