I think he's right and wrong at the same time. If you're depressed the worst thing you can do is nothing. Spending the day in bed is bad for you even if you have no energy. You'll just keep doing it and drift further away from responsibility. Depression is something that needs to be actively fought, not appeased. You don't get better with complacency and laziness.

At the same time I can relate. I've been severely depressed for a while and I kind of gave up after a long history of trying to beat it. That's why I think it's important that you don't stop doing things that are generally just taking care of yourself. Even if they are small things.

Nobody understands how it feels unless they've had it. You should probably communicate about how you feel with him if his words are hurting you. But taking care of yourself is a way to start getting better and to start to feel like your life is worth something. Doing the same thing all day everyday isn't and your boyfriend is right.

i bought my PC for about 600 bucks and i had no problem running any steam games, or even emulating ps2 or nintendo wii games.

every modern computer can do all that wiht the exception of possibly some really complex games. also 'runs fast enough' isnt a real thing. like no computer store or website will list 'runs fast enough' under their specs. al commputers run fast when you first get them. they slow down as you bog em down. if you know how fast you want it to run (re: ram) that helps but it can add some extra dough.

if you are not naturally drawn to anything think about what YOU want out of life. about how much do you need to make to live comfortably? how much time do you want to spend? something comfy and low profile or are you a man of exercise? need to support afamily? an expensive hobby? something that matches your education level?

once you know the answer to those you start researching various careers that would suit those particular needs. you'll never find one that suits em all no matter how great you are or how hard you look. but from there you can take a look at whats the least important / whichcareer might soundf un.

some people are find working a not so real office job where they can dick around on the net most of the day. others NEEED some big fulfilling projects. find out what you are.

but if you cant honestly think about what kind of field you even havea desire to work in, you just need something that will pay the amount of money you want and cater to your lifestyle.
