I come here with a problem I deeply need to solve.

And that is rejection. I know I'm not even average looking and I am rejected a lot, hell, this just happened twice in the last day, I understand this process. But the thing is that I feel really bad about being rejected and I take it so personal that I hate myself for being a pathetic fuck everytime. Is this how it is supposed to be?

How should I solve this shit and be done being a faggot?

first and foremost, women only do the 'rejecting' because they are the ones who are sought more often than not. That is to say, women dont ACTUALLY hold power. they dont have some secret organization, or special badges or anything that give them the right to actually judge you.

women are simply pursued by men, so it is their job to decide whether or not they are interested in you.

that being said, all they can truly judge is whether or not they are interested in you. anyone who does anymore than that is a twat and not dating material to begin with, so you dodged a bullet.

oranges are not fucking pathetic simply because i will choose to eat a plum each and every time. plums are my taste. most people prefer oranges, so plums may feel pathetic becuase they dont get chosen as often. but they are still a delicious fucking fruit, just like you OP.

just cuz you didnt get the job doesn't mean you woulda sucked at the job. it just means they were interested in someone else.

I have to memorize and present a dialogue for a level 2 German class with a partner and present it tomorrow. My partner is busy and I won't have a chance to practice with him. What's the easiest way to memorize my lines and cues alone? It's only 10 lines each and they're only 1-2 sentences. I'm really busy with my other classes for my actual major though and need to do it as quickly and efficiently as possible. I'm pretty okay with the language but nowhere near fluent and it's obviously more difficult to memorize a foreign language

How do people with generalized anxiety and depression pay their bills? I have a job but it doesn't pay well. It got really bad when I fell in love with a very religious girl I can't even hang out with. Now my abusive family will be kicking me out soon, and it's already hard enough for me to get out of bed. How am I supposed to pull through in this physically incapacitated state? I honestly don't know what keeps me around anymore, but for some reason I haven't killed myself.

anxiety is just a simple flaw. you can easily overcome it by trying to.

I'm too depressed to find the motivation

Hello ladies,

I need your help on this one.

So my girlfriend just told me she has a womb inflammation (not exactly sure what kind of).
And as far as I know that is considered a STD.
She said she is a virgin and hasn't done anything that would lead to getting a STD and I truly believed that.

I'm not sure whether she's a slut or just somehow managed to catch that.

tldr

Is it possible to get a womb inflammation from something else besides sex?

Perhaps infection? She could have fingered herself without washing her hands properly or something like that and messed shit up

Wtf do I do if my body completely ruins my life? I used to be fat when I was young and now I have stretch marks everywhere. My body is hairy as fuck and im not really burly or manly. I tried shaving it because it's so gross and now I can see my stretch marks easy as fuck.

I'm thinking about dumping my girlfriend just because I feel so unattractive and she hasn't seen my disgusting body yet

Seriously should I just get laser hair removal and lasers for the stretch marks
>>
>>16923563

your body isnt ruining your life, you are. very little of life revolves around how you look. some does, sure, but not enough to ruin your life unless you dedicate your entire life to how your body looks.

that being said, talk to a doctor (re: not 4chan) about treatments for healing stretch marks. you wont ever get rid of them all but there are agressive treatments. say you want those. say you want to know what the more determined options are, not just 'LOL MADERMA TWICE DAILY'.

as for hairy, keep shaving, and/or get laser removal. nair is also an option.

Last night I had a dream where I'd gone on a long flight somewhere and once it was time to return home I felt immense dread realizing I had to get on the plane again.

I've flown before on long trips several times, without incident at all, and without fear or anxiety. I'm able to remain calm physically even if, in my mind, I have a sense of unease about things.

Anyway, why do people quote statistics when talking about the risks of flying? What good do statistics do anyone when *they* happen to be on the 1 in a 1,000,000 flight that goes down or whatever?

I'm having trouble grasping this, so maybe someone could explain it. I understand the purpose of the statistics, to explain that you have more chances of being in a car wreck than plane wreck, but to me there's a major difference: in most other modes of transportation, you retain a degree of control; on a plane, you have no idea if the pilot is a guy like the Germanwings nutjob co-pilot or anything, nor do you have any idea about the plane itself, whether it's really met all safety protocols and so on. Flying, no matter what the statistical risks, seems to involve an all or nothing situation, where if things go badly, they will go really, really badly, and you'll have no control. I don't want to die in such a way, so why take even a 1 in 1,000,000 risk in the first place? Someone wins the lottery, despite the odds.

Anyway, this is a legit issue for me, because I have family overseas and I feel bad that I can't visit them or attend funerals or other events due to this mode of thinking. To my way of thinking, it's not worth risking my own life to, for example, attend a funeral, since I might die on the way there or way back, prematurely ending my life, which could have otherwise continued for decades.

>1 in 1,000,000 risk
That's only true for the planes that are still on the ground. Once the plane takes off the risk is of it crashing is much higher.
>>
I used to have this problem. When I was a kid I went on several flights with no incident, but one time I just randomly got a panic attack. I got over it after flying enough. Like any fear the best way to get rid of it is to face it. You already know that it's irrational to fear flying, so just fly enough and you'll eventually get comfortable with it.
>>
Because statistics are highly relevant. It's not our fault your brain doesnt understand how statistics directly apply to you.

A car crash you have a degree of control, yes. But that's also the only thing that dictates the crash or not. You.
A plane crash would require:
Total engine failure
Fly-by-wire failure
Total power failure
Hydraulic backup failure
Pilot failure
Remote blackbox override control

Modern aircraft have the capacity to virtually land themselves in an emergency, and contrary to what hollywood has taught you they don't immediately explode into enormous fireballs on crash landing.
Basically, there are failsafes after failsafes after failsafes.
And even then, the sheer design of how an airplane works means even if all that shit does go down, you're basically just gunna glide down and the body of the craft is going to grind itself into the ground.

Everybody on board would be relatively uninjured, if at all.

I have a 2008 Honda Civic LX and it's having trouble accelerating when I first start it up. It will move but the RPMs will shoot up if I try to make it move faster and the engine will really sound like it's struggling to keep up. This problem seems to go away after the engine is warmed up. I put in my code reader and found code P0113 (problem with PCM which monitors the temperature of the air entering the engine - might explain the warming up effect on the engine) and code P0102 (Problem with the Mass Air Flow sensor which can cause the engine to struggle).

Should I just assume these codes have completely diagnosed the problem? Would it be as easy of a fix as just replacing the mass air flow sensor?

My knowledge of cars is limited and I don't really have a good space to work on it either. At what point should I just go to a mechanic?

>>
>>16923484
Unfortunately there is no way to know until you fix those problems. This goes for almost all mechanical problems.
>>
>>16923484
Go to a parts store, get an estimate on the parts, from there you can try to fix it yourself or go the mechanic. There's no guarantee one part will fix both problems, but I think its safe to say they probably correlate.
>>
>>16923625
>>16923639
Thanks for the advice, guys. I did some more research and found that the symptoms might indicate a problem with the oxygen sensor. With the codes that are showing up, it's making me a bit confused. I think I'm just going to bite the bullet and go to a mechanic.

Ever since I was born I was told to believe in Jesus or else I'd go to hell, so obviously every night I'd pray to him. But for most of my teen life I don't think I really did believe in religion but I did just incase if it was true and it would prevent me from suffering for eternity.

Now I'm away at college and I still get these thoughts that make me feel guilty for questioning his existence but my love for science and evolution is helping to ease those fears. I just want to live in the now moment and be a good person without worrying about the future or past.

Anyone else like this? I feel like fully detaching myself from religion is a death sentence to hell just because that idea has been the root belief in me for so long

theres a quote floating around, and this isnt even close to verbatim but the idea behind it is

go out and live a good life, and do your best to not harm others. If there is a god, and he is just, he will welcome you with open arms for being a good person, regardless of whether or not you guessed which religion to believe in. if there is a god, and he only cares about whether or not you guessed the right religion, then he wasnt worth worshipping to begin with.

as for the contradictions between bible and science, the bible is just that: a bible. its a hand written book pulled from thousands of other books to represent the time it was put together. it was written and re written and redrafted and sent to kings for their versions, then translated then what have you. most of what appears is reflection of rules that would have been helpful in the time. its not actually bad to eat pork, it just wasn't hygenic enough to be a good idea at the time. theres nothing wrong with masturbation, the human race was just small at the time (and children died often).

its a new world, and no matter how you apply the old religions, they just dont fit. so why try to? use the bible as a tool to define your own personal relationship with the lord, whatever that may be, and go forth and do what you want and try not to hurt people, and just admit when you have.
>>
I've felt this way for a long time as well. You just need to realize that when you accept a set of beliefs, you take all of the baggage and the risk.
>>
I was 'raised' catholic( not really forced to church but more culturally) it was normal to do communion and the other thing i forgot the name of. In my later teens i became atheist, now around my 20's i'm a bit more agnostic.

I just don't really care about religion and try to be a good person.

Is it normal for relationships to cool off after some months?

>been together with bf for 8 months
>we don't text each other as much as we used to (we still talk everyday though)
>we spend like 10 hours a week together, but we don't talk as much as we used to. He checks his instagram a third of the time (but shows me when something interesting comes up on his newsfeed)

Is he losing interest in me or is it that we have entered that period of relationships when you can relax and enjoy the other person's company without having to think super interest things to say all the time? BTW we are both in a boring period of the year so there isn't much to talk about anyways.

To keep the flames lit, relationship need to be nurtured.

You can contribute to this nurturing by becoming a bit more assertive and actually frequently showing your affection towards him.
Randomly hug him, kiss him, hold his hand or arm when you're walking together, initiate and take the lead in sex every now and then to make him feel that you desire him.

Stuff like this produces Oxycontin in both of you which strengthens attraction and monogamous behavior among couples.
>>
Don't think so hard about it. It is normal for them to not be as exciting as in the beginning when you're both infatuated with each other.

By the sounds of it you're in high school and the best advice I can give you is you shouldn't worry about coming up with interesting things to say, it at least for me used to make me feel more tense.

So here I am, having worked a retail job for 12/hr for 1.5 years now, running a computer repair service as a sole proprietor, and I come across a small-medium managed services startup who wants to hire me as a regular employee, not temp, and I find myself afraid to leave my stable job to break into IT like I've always wanted to.

The position is for an NOC Engineer, on-call. I realize the workload will likely be high but it's got to be better than retail. I could use this experience to get all the certifications I need and then find a better job after that.

What do?

Have a fall back plan and don't burn bridges with the retail just in case things don't pan out. Make sure the on-call has enough hours to get you by otherwise you might need a part time job on the side.
