I'm terrible with making friends but I've found that if you spend enough time together, at work, in the dorms, whatever, that you will find something to talk about. My current best friend only really became more than an acquaintance because our wives were friends from class.

My anxiety is poorly managed now, but when it was better I found the following helped with panic attacks. During an attack close your eyes and focus on nothing but breathing, breath slowly and don't move. Beyobd that you should cut out caffeine from your diet if you consume it. Also avoid benzos unless you absolutely need to take one, taking them too often permanently makes it worse. Above all else see a doctor for it.
