I know some speakers personally, so I would beg to differ on that last point. Also worth noting is that while it is no longer a national language per se (Vatican City notwithstanding), it underpins so many major languages and large parts of the the technical lexicon in general, it's still highly useful to know when working in any of these.

Second, it is the language in which some of the best literature of all time was written, so if you want to read it in the original, there isn't much way around learning it.

The structures of the language fit many important thought patterns in logic (more than, say, English, or most other modern languages for that matter). They're also good for learning more about language works in general.

And finally, there's some really hilarious porn.

You don't, as humans it is in our nature to want to be social. There's no magic recipe to living happily alone. You just have to barrel through the awkwardness until you make friends, just like the rest of us.

So I have a few hypothesis

1. She ran off with some dude who was an asshole and eventually came back. Doesn't quite explain the shame though.
2. She was a stripper or something to that effect and ran off to do that. Explains why she'd be scared of someone tracking her down from those days, maybe she did porn.
3. She went into a drug black hole, but that doesn't explain the lack of social media.
4. Maybe she just fucked up at school, but that doesn't explain the social media blackout or the seeming shame.

So of my four hypotheses the sex worker one holds the most water. What do you think?

Its gotten to the point where I don't even bother approaching people when I don't have to because I assume they don't want anything to do with me.

I wish I just knew what steps I needed to take in order to turn this around, but to be frank I've felt this way for the majority of my life and I don't even know if it's possible at this point.
