Hi /adv/,
For about 4 days now I have started taking my new medication of Adderall and I have not slept even for a moment thus far.
I have always been a night person, or maybe an insomniac, but it has been impossible for me to sleep at all, and it is starting to worry me. I am hearing and seeing things around my apartment a lot, and I keep on finding stuff in my hands for no reason (for instance I was at my table eating some food and I realized I had been clutching my toothpaste for I don't know how long). My heart sounds like it's going to explode and I have a lot of stuff I need to do, so I can't stop taking my medicine (I cant concentrate without it) and I need to be able to work and stuff, but I am starting to get paranoid.
What do you recommend for me? I would have gone to the doc already but I need to be able to work and go to school and whatnot. (22 yrs old, engineering college and intern)

My gf doesn't love herself. She's accepted it and claims that nothing (therapy) works for her except booze and pill popping to temporarily ease the pain. I love her and I want to be there for her. It's a struggle because she can't love others without loving herself. I used to be depressed so I can understand where she's coming from.

I fucked up..I got into college, but my SAT score was to low to correspond with any math class, so I had to take a placement test, fucking cheated on it to good and got put in applied calculus, which is like 2 classes above college required math..They say for anyone who gets 1 or more class above there SAT score has to retake it at the college(Probably to see if they cheated) I have around 48 hours before student orientation and that test..what should I do?

Small dilema here.
My girlfriend is going to hairschool, I'm attending university currently. Her schooling will provide her with multiple opportunities(fashion show, networking wtc.), and she'll be able to work full-time as a cosmetoligist in 18 months. Meanwhile, I have another 3 years left of Uni due to dual-majoring, so I'll be making less money for a while, be in more debt, and on chance i dont land a decent entry job, be broke as hell. I am applying for internships, working and taking summer classes but still feel like a loser in comparison. I love and am happy for but I don't wanna bring her down.
Tl;dr Girlfriend's future looks brighter than mine after just getting accepted into her school.

I'm going on my third day treating strep with antibiotic and it's been getting worse rather than better. I can't swallow anything, not even apple sauce, and there are white patches everywhere down my throat. The pain is unbearable at this point, I haven't been eating or drinking enough. I'd advise
1. Drinking really, really, really salty water like every 2 hours. Not sure if it helps, but it sure makes me feel better.
It'll burn like hell and be unbearably salty, but don't spit it out.
2. Drink hot tea with lots of honey in it. The honey has properties which helps with strep and the hot tea is really soothing.
Probably the best short term option for pain relief.

This definitely isn't the place to ask this shit, but I'm here and might as well.
My parents were over for a visit and my dad managed to drop bar soap down the toilet. Figured "big deal, I'll just keep pissing and hope it dissolves." After finally having to shit, the toilet has been clogged for a day or so. So I, being an unthinking fucking faggot, dumped some clorox in there and tried to flush it. The bowl was mostly yellowish water and toilet paper when I did this.
As soon as my brain kicked in, I remembered that oldish piss likely = ammonia and I just dumped bleach to try to dissolve the soap. Left the bathroom, exhaust fan on, covered door bottom with blanket just in case. Is there actually a risk or am I over/under reacting? The room connected to the bathroom has no odor thus far, but I am a paranoid fuck.
