Help me cope /adv/ its been 3 months since I last talked to my ex, we were together for 3 years before she decided to leave me for someone else. She's happier than she's ever been judging by her photos on Instagram. I know that I don't even cross her mind anymore. She was my first girlfriend, and I was hoping my last. She picked me up when I was a sophomore in high school, I was all alone, no friends, suicidal, all that good stuff. Now high schools over, and I'm all alone, I didn't make any friends in school, and no one gives a shit about me. I need someone in my life. I can't be alone any more. Every day is a struggle not to blow my brains out. I've had depression since I was in 5th grade, and now I don't have anyone to help me keep going. I just can't anymore, no one would even care if I was gone. How can I find more people who actually give a shit about me?
>>17239251
Also, I don't have a family that would teach me how to drive or buy me a car, so "just going out" is extremely limited
>>17239251
Hey anon.First off keep in mind the possibility that she may be posting those Instagram pics, knowing you will look at them do she can make it look like she's getting on fine without you.Second, how were you before you met her? Were you able to get on okay on your own? Also it sounds like you may have needed her more than she you, happens a lot.If you feel that you need a relationship to be happy, that means you aren't happy in yourself. You need to work on yourself before you go into another relationship.Do you get much of a chance to socialise?Work?Clubs?

Get help for yourself. Being someone's "savior" is a recipe for disaster. It gets old quick. You have to fix you for you, no one else can do it and no one else can motivate you to. Become someone people want to be around, to do that you have to deal with your mental health. Bad metal health is the opposite of sexy, but it can easily be dealt with. It'll probably hurt but it'll be better in the long run.

FAQ:
>Do girls/guys like <insert specific look>?
>Is my body part big/small enough?
>Am I short/tall enough?
>Would you date a virgin?
><random insecurity>
Some do, some don't. Preferences differ, but complexes are always a turn-off.
>I'm shy and afraid of people/rejection. What do I do?
Get over it by practicing and exposing yourself to it, little by little, step by step. There is no single magical moment that will instantly change you forever. It takes hard work, time, and effort.
>I like someone. What do I do?
Ask them out.
>How can I tell if someone likes me?
Ask them out. This is something that cannot be explained. You either have learned to intuit this or you have not. If you have not, the only way to learn is experience--there are no shortcuts. So it comes back to: Just ask them out.
>Where do I meet girls/guys?
Anywhere outside. Or online. Don't complain that this isn't helpful; stupid questions deserve answers like this.
>Someone did something insignificant. What does it mean?
Nothing significant. Stop overthinking it.
Alternative answer: we don't fucking know.
>XYZ happened. Interpret this for me please
We're not in their head, we don't fucking know. No amount of your walls of text will fix that.
>This person did something that hurt my feelings. Why do guys/girls do this?
Because shit people are shit people. It's not a gendered thing
>Someone has made it abundantly clear they're no longer interested in me. Do I still have a chance?
No
>Where do I go on a first (or subsequent) date?
Pick one or more of the following: coffee, lunch, dinner, drinks, ice cream, movies, zoo, aquarium, museum, art gallery, <activity in your city>
>Brandon, that one guy who keeps asking about cuddling in platonic friendships and fart guy
Fuck off
My boyfriend is a very nice guy; we play video games together and it's usually a lot of fun. Very randomly though, in a competitive/versus environment(primarily first person shooters), he will get upset when I beat him. REALLY upset and competitive to the point where he will go silent and pout until he kills me. Then when he does, he shit talks, says very mean stereotypical gamer things. He also constantly looks at my stats. Right now I have higher eliminations that him in Overwatch and it's driving him insane trying to beat it. I just want to have fun, should I let him win?
>>17239229
He sounds like a bitch. It's just a fucking game. But yea, if it really upsets him that much, you should let him.
Girls, do you get asked out a lot on the days preceding Valentine's Day? What do you think about this? Does it make the guy seem opportunistic?
Fellow guys, does this ever work?
Sunday will be a Valentine's Day equivalent in my country.
Was getting my hair cut earlier, guy did good job, same old same old blah blah
>go to pay
>the girl that works the pay part is talking to me
>acting really nice
>wanting to know how tall I am
>saying I look so good
>putting her arm around my shoulder
>basically acting like shes into me
It was nice but I was super cautious because I was in a business and given how cynical I am I knew there was a reasonable chance she was just trying to get a good tip for her co worker
At the same time I've been getting /fit/ lately and been getting /fa/shionable and generally learning how to not act like an autismal spazz so its ////possible//// she was legitimately into me
Either way I went home and that was that
So what happened?
Also I don't know if this is relevant or not but lately people in general have been acting cooler towards me, smiling, laughing, guys are giving me tips in the gym, and girls seem to have 0 trouble with helping me figure out the exact form for gym equipment
>inb4 OP is just asking them for help as an excuse to talk
No this one gym dude told me how important form is so now I am making sure I do it right for all gym gear and since everyone says to treat girls not like mythical beings but just like normal people it just so happens that there would be a girl next to X piece of equipment so I just asked her "hey can you help me out real quick? can you tell me if I'm doing this right?"
etc
Well anyways they have no problem helping and they even have 0 issue with their arms and hands touching me while showing me what to do
Cant tell if its intentional on their end or if they simply don't mind it but either way that's a good sign because even if they simply don't mind it means they don't feel repulsed by me at all
>gif possibly related to all of this
>>17239159
It seems you are reaching the alpha male level. Just keep getting fit bro, shit happens when you're confident and in shape.
the girls rarely compliment me after I get muh hair cut.
>tfw you only get fake compliments
Maybe I'm just lonely, or need company. I'm not sure. But I'm scared /adv/.
I don't have a job, I have a shitty luck and skills with girls, and for the past two weeks I've been a NEET. I've gone out a couple of times with a couple of friends. But that's it. Aside from that, I've been locked in my room, playing dark souls. I've been trying to keep a constant visit to my local gym, going 4 times a week for an hour a day. And it helps, but I can't stop feeling depressed. And alone.
Is there some website where I can actually make friends and interact with other hermits like me?
Does this solve anything? I'm a Shitty student, and I don't know what to do. I'm afraid of turning out into a failure.

Games!
Pick up MMOs or something and join a good guild. They are all nerds who don't want to leave their computers but at the same time are not quite as scary or mentally-ill as the type of people you would meet on 4chan.

You can try different positions you've never tried before?
How do you know when you're ready to start dating again after a breakup?
When you stop thinking of it in terms of "post-breakup".
>>17238940
When you're in a place where you don't talk about your ex or compare every potential date to your ex. When you're not feeling desperate. When you realize that the people you date don't complete you but you just want to make a meaningful connection with someone. Or when you're horny.
>>17238940
Never date anyone again... haven't you learned from the last time?
I do literally no work at work.
I got a job a few weeks ago in a big city straight out of college. I make 70k starting plus bonus plus tons of benefits. And I have not done ANY WORK since my first day.
This is what I've done this week:
Monday
>browsed reddit (4chan blocked)
>read some ebooks
Tuesday
>same
Wednesday
>played chess
>did 45 mins of work
Today
>played chess, that's it
Every day I leave early and nobody says anything. My supervisor sits right beside me and sees what I do and never assigns me any work. I asked what I should do once and he said "I am too busy to teach you right now". Now it may sound fun to get 70k for fucking around on the computer, but it's really not. What should I do?
>>17238907
Please take your humblebrag elsewhere, anon.

I'm in the same boat except I get laid off once a month for a week to a week and a half.
It really doesn't feel good does it. Weird how tired I feel when I get home.
>>17238907
You are an adult and your supervisor is not expected to babysit you. If he doesn't have time to teach you(as busy colleagues often do), watch him-
or maybe study. Use online resources to teach yourself something that will be helpful to your career in the long run.
Hey /adv/ I need some career advice.
I graduated with a BA in Math and got a job at a hospital lab because of my cousin. Make decent money since I still live with parents, 32k a year, more with OT.
I was talking with one of the CRNA's who told me to go into nursing and become a CRNA. He said he graduated and got offered a job at 175k a year and just left for a position at a oral surgeon office for 220k a year.
I like the medical field, but there's so much different positions in it. I like helping people too.
Another option I was told about is biostatistian, there is a paid masters at my school that offers it seems pretty cool.
There's always MD too.
Shit I don't really know how to choose what to do. I don't mind being in school long.
sorry been a mess since GF left.
Is there a question in there?
I can't speak for everywhere, but in the East Texas it's hard as hell for a male to get hired in the nursing field.
Almost all women- and even quite a few men- flat out refuse care from a male caregiver. Employers have a lot less hassle if they just stick to females.
Also, if you're white, forget it. Most nurses are black and they'll form cliques against you. It's the one field where blacks have the numbers, and believe me, they're going to take out every percieved injustice they've ever experienced on YOU.
Uh why not work with your BA in math?
Actuary?
Statistican?
Consulting?
So I'm caught in this habit of a cycle where I open a million tabs on firefox until sooner or later the browser crashes, and when I restart it back up I just continue to open up more tabs while leaving the restore tab open. Am I gonna break my PC?
>>17238588
Anyone?
>>17238588
Got the same issue. You are not alone. My pattern includes, that I've got a lot of interessts and want to read everything I can related, but don't got the time to do it after all the tabs are open.

>So I'm caught in this habit of a cycle where I open a million tabs on firefox until sooner or later the browser crashes, and when I restart it back up I just continue to open up more tabs while leaving the restore tab open
>Am I gonna break my PC?
no. the program has nothing to do with the OS or the rest of the computer.
I mean, the crashes happen because firefox uses too much memory, and that could also kill other programs, but this shouldn't be a problem in most cases, unless you are writing big files to the disk or something.
My new BF has a way bigger cock than I am used to. I thought I was really good at deep throat but now I am nervous so that makes it worse.
>>17238256
good movie, btw.
bigger dick guy here. Most of the girls I've been with can't take it all down their throat, but the ones that have been able to, oh my fucking god.
If you like sucking dick, and want to swallow that snake whole, I'd really suggest looking up tips online or something, because I'd give anything to be back with one of those bitches that could actually swallow this thing.
Tip I gave my girlfriend is to exhale as you're going down.
>>17238256
Oh no you have a boyfriend with a big cock. Poor you. Shut the fuck up.
should i be concerned if my boyfriend is acting mre affectionate?
we were going through a period for a month where we were getting into fights A LOT. there was a week straight where we got in a fight every time we hung out.
recently, hes been a lot more attentive to me.
I know his best friend has been seeing a girl for a month or so. my bf hung out with her and his best friend before without telling me. I met her like a week ago, and she was flirting w my bf most of the time, laughing at ALL his jokes (even if it was a coupley joke directed only towards me) and it seemed like they were really into each other
last night, my bf took me to dinner and then after we went to his home, had sex cuddled for like 2 minutes then he started playing ps4, where he talks to his best friend through with one of those mics. his best friend was with that girl, and my bf was asking about their day &talked to her briefly. I got upset (because I really don't like her, I'm pretty sure she wants my bf. before I even met her, one of her friends followed me on Instagram to creep on my account-I figured out who she was after I met her). I know that I'm kind of aealous person and stuff, I tried not to show that I was jealous of him talking to her even though as far i know they only said "hi" but i left after like sitting there for 40 minutes (he clearly wanted me to leave)
anyway, i left after, it was 1am. i usually sleep over whn we hang out late into the night, but i was just like i have to go, he let me go. then he sent me a text that said "i had an amazing time with you, im glad i met u u really r perfect for me" and that seemed weird as we've been together for more than a year.
am i overthinking? I'm kinda nervous because I'm going away for a family thing (he cant come) and going to be gone for a week and that girls birthday is during that week.I'm scared hes gona be hanging with them & maybe some of her friends. i don't think shes really pretty BUT shes my boyfriends type.
You're a piece of shit and I hope your boyfriend wises up and leaves you.
Jealous insane women are cancer.
>>17238204

your relationship is going well so there must be something wrong?
>>17238204
also shes 18 or 19. I'm 24 and my bf is 23. i really think she has a thing for my boyfriend, and the fact that shes so young means she might be into trying to steal someone elses man, you knw? i mean i don't know her personally obviously, but i know that younger girls/immature girls are like that.
ive hung around my boyfriends other guy friends with their girlfriends there, and they don't hit on my boyfriend, and ive never thought twice about any of them.
My girlfriend is merely okay-looking. Not ugly, just okay. She has certain physical elements that I wouldn't want to see in my kids for example (if we ever have any.) However she has the best personality of anyone I ever met and I really care about her.
Is it a mistake to stay with her even when I have these doubts?
>>17237920
Nobody is perfect OP.
>>17237923
This. If you love her and care about her, stay with her. Especially if you love her personality. Trust me, good personalities are hard to come by
Good personality is worth much more than looks. Don't even worry about how your kids would look like, that dumb, besides its much more important how they will be raised, and good personality will help it a lot.
>Am sophomore at college
>Has a former friend from high school who watches me on Deviantart and she now studies in another state
>We are no longer friends and I doubt she liked me much at the time of graduation
>Once she sent an FB friend request to my mom after HS graduation and when I asked her about it she said she had no idea how it happened
>I travelled to another state this year and I want to post a pic of me and my online friend on my Devianart as well as our story (related to a fandom I post about on Deviantart)
>Scared she will reveal our meeting to my parents (parents are super conservative and they do not know about our meeting)
Should I upload the pic of me and my online friend onto DeviantArt? Yeah, my parents are conservative and they will freak out if they find out. It doesn't help that I am a girl and my online friend is a guy.

Just be sure to thank them sincerely whenever they help you, and commend them on their works if they're showing you something they did
So here we go.
>Met guy last semester
>Probably like 5'4''ish, gay as shit hairless twink
>But we have the same hobbies and enjoy each others company, so we hang out outside of college
>I'm not gay, or at least don't think I am, and he told me really liked me more than just as a friend
>Told him that I'm not gay, but I really like him as well, just sort of conflicted
So what do I do? I mean if this guy was a girl, he'd be fucking 10/10 personality wise. Most gay people I know are incredibly obnoxious, but he isn't. Just reminds me of a regular guy, but small and feminine. I've never given though to being with a guy at all.
I mean for a guy he is pretty cute I guess. I don't think I've ever seen a hair on his body, he is probably like 125-ish lbs at 5'4'', so pretty thin, but not a complete rail. Really fucking androgynous face. Lets put it this way, if he dressed as a girl, put make up on, and didn't speak, you wouldn't be able to tell.
The other night he was at my place, and we were on the couch, he seems to like making physical contact with me as much as possible, so he had his legs across my lap, while watching a movie. He kept readjusting and "accidentally" brushed my dick with his feet a few times, and my dick reacted and got hard. He just gave me a look, but didn't say anything about it.
What do I do /adv/? I've never considered myself gay, or even though of fucking a dude, but I'm almost convinced. But I love vaginas so much. Conflicted as shit about this.
Nigga u gay
Honestly just go for it. But prepare beforehand and know that it is gonna be different than if you were with a girl. Also, try to figure out whether you'd be open to a relationship or not, and definitely discuss that with him pre-anything. You don't want to sacrifice your friendship for something that might be fleeting.
>>17235787
>mfw I'm 5'4" 125lbs and hairless, and gay
