I'm 27 and never learned how to drive before. How do I go about learning how to drive and getting my DL in California? I don't have any friends or family to practice with in their car.
Also: How do insurance rates look like for new drivers who are older than normal?

Is it less if I just learn automatic first, and show up at the driving school rather than them coming to me?
How much training is necessary to pass the driving test and be competent driver?
Also for written test, is that something you need to take a course for or you can just look up the info on DMV website? Lots of places offer "Driver's ED" classes but not sure if its necessary or something I can learn on my own beforehand, unlike actual driving.

Depends on where you live, I think it was only $55 a lesson where I live. Definitely gets expensive though, and if you need to borrow a car for the test, they may charge you another lesson's fee for that too.

So after months of games and volatility I had enough. Blocked her and started to work on myself. Two days later she sends me a WhatsApp message telling me she misses me. I pretty much let her have it, made her understand she played too many games and led me on. She seemed sincerely sorry and was very forthright about her intimacy issues. She says she wants to be JUST friends. No flirting, no nothing. I told her if I decide to do it she can't walk away and if she does, it's definitely over.
It's a little difficult for me because I liked this girl quite a bit and she showed all the signs that he felt that same but she'd implode every time we got intimate. I'm afraid to open up but maybe this will be a learning experience. Please help, dudes and ladies.

Committing to a major has been tough for me and I've always wrote off medical school, but now it seems appealing.
Considering i dont really care about my major or rather, nothing draws me in... what would your suggestions be in regards to my major as a pre med student?
Ideally it would not be something so difficult that it'd ruin my GPA, but on the other hand id also like it to be something useful in case i decide to not go the medical route or if it doesnt work out for whatever reason.
I realize interest typically plays a big role in this type of decision, but like i said, i dont really feel like I'd be more happy choosing one thing over anither in this regard... im more concerned about the job market/salary, stuff like that.
Im also wondering if anybody knows a good resource for figuring this type of stuff out. I mean, i have about 2 years of worth credit and its kinda all over the place so i figured that maybe there are certain majors im closer to if that makes sense?

I submitted my resume to a recruitment firm via a job board at midnight last night and got a phone call this morning (actually woke me up) that turned out to be a phone interview, ending with the recruiter being quite pushy about coming in for an interview for "graduate sales positions" in "business information" which could "should you earning close to $80k a year after commission!" I wasn't fully awake yet, so I sort of agreed to it, but how dodgy does this sound? The recruitment firm seems to be legit from a quick google search but sales based jobs on commission with those sorts of promises makes me just want to cancel the interview ASAP.
