So when I was driving through our neighborhood yesterday to go meetup with my friends, I saw my neighbor's daughter ( she's 12) taking out the trash. My room-mate moved out and paid me with a Geforce 980. It worked great, however there was a storm a few days ago and my PC surged. The card's dead now. Apparently my room-mate is a dumbass and threw away the sticker/box so I can't RMA it. I'm thinking of buying one from Best Buy/Walmart/Amazon and swapping stickers returning the bad one.
Any input on this? Who has the most slack return policy? Can I get jailtime or anything?

I bought a desk for my wife and the picture looked like it was sturdy but it wasnt at all. I told them it was missing a part and incase they looked i tossed one away. They didnt bother looking.
I've developed a habit of collecting relatively effeminate stuff related to comics/media. Pic related, some art I bought tonight from a cool artist at a comic-con.
How do I explain this, or stop this, and how do I tastefully display my purchases? I'm a guy who is very confident in his masculinity, and very few would ever expect this kind of thing, but art/statues/etc. of women I find alluring for some reason.
I've been holding myself back until recently and suddenly anything based off a couple of different characters I really want to have.

people say im pessimistic, except on /adv/ they say im optimistic. really i just love life and whats happening around me but dont ignore the problems. i think most people think you can only be optimistic, or pessimistic, but never realistic.
if i think something bad is going to happen i address it, but i maintain my happiness cuz i built my life in a way that doesnt make me deal with those problems very much, especially since i address them.
that being siad, i used to feel a bit like you and what changed me was purposely taking the time to enjoy the little things.
take out yuor phone and open the calendar and set two random alerts a day. set them to vibrate. no matter where you are or what you are doing when you feel the vibrate, take a moment to acknowledge how nice something is. is your seat comfy? food tasty? the sky look nice? and if ur a total edge lord who cant enjoy anything, enjoy the fact taht you can take three deep breaths, cuz its better than having a cold.
over time this condition syour brain to take these regular moments and think of them as positive things.
now im the kind of guy who cant stop thinking about how great the day is, even if its just a normal day at the office.
the downside is, if you can call it that, is you tend to examine whats going on a LOT instead of simply living in that moment. when i was on vacation (my first ever) i was sitting on the beach, and i wasnt even doing anything but i was sitting there giddy and thinking how exciting and amazing it was that im on the beach and i found an old sandcastle. it just felt amazing to do something that is so 'human'.

So I've started going through some hair loss last year, I've tried to not worry about it but lately it has been increasing. I am working on changing my lifesyle to be healthier and planning on going to the dermatologist to make sure it's not the worst (Genetics) getting to me.
My question is, is there any temporary solution to keep the hairloss at a minimum? I'm well aware that most stuff is BS but I'd like to hear your input, thanks.

There is no easy solution. If there as you wouldn't see bald men everywhere. The best you can do is take pills, use those hair liquids, and use special shampoo. They probably won't work but then you can at least rest knowing you tried everything short of surgery. Best you just try to overcome the fear of losing hair.

Hey, all I have a problem about going out by myself sometimes. It's not an everyday problem but I get torn between about going out to the bars or local breweries around my town. I feel as when I go into a bar for the most part (around my town at least) it's like all eyes are set upon me. As I enter I feel like I'm being judged on the spot. Not "cool enough to be here" kind of attitude from most people. It's pretty annoying...sometimes I just need to get out by myself and maybe make friends. But then I realize that bar culture is kinda lame and it's almost like this adult hook up, or come look at me kind of place. Which I don't really want to be part of. I just get this spark inside of me telling me that I should leave my house and do different things. I don't feel this way when I go to coffee shops at all if you can really compare the too. For the most part, I'm pretty observant about my setting and all I see are horny men, drunk girls, groups of people, close friends, and or people just like me getting out and about at night. In all honestly, I would love to meet people that are willing to be friends not just "bar buddies" that kind of people is just pointless to me. Maybe even have smart conversations and or have same ideas. Do you guys have any advice about this subject? Or maybe any experience with the same feelings I have in a shape or form? How can I overcome these insecurities?

There are only really two types of phone connector - lightning cables for apple products and micro-usb for literally everything else in the world. The closest thing you'll get to a universal connector is to buy a micro-usb cable and a lightning adapter to go on the end of it for when you connect an iphone. The downsides to this plan are the fact that apple products don't allways work well (or even work at all) with third party hardware, and also that you'll probably loose the adapter the very first time you take it off.
A much better solution would be to follow >>17269965 sugestion. Those bluetooth/FM kits cost next to nothing, and yet they work really well. There's certainly no difference in sound quality between that and an aux cable.

Hi. I want to be a correctional officer. And I'm going to community to get an associates in criminal justice so I can easily land a job anywhere in the country. But there's a problem... I was born with club foot. Unfortunately I still have complications with my feet. I expirence pain on a regular but I'm getting surgery to hopefully fix that. Though I'm worried about future problems with my feet. Plus I don't have very good balance and my feet are really wide that require me to get special shoes. Do you think I'd be able to get into the academy with my feet problems? Even with an associates? Should I try? Pls give me your advice.
