I feel as if I just can't compete with these other dudes /adv/. Like women are being chased by so many fucking dudes. Dudes with cars, muscular dudes, dudes with tatts, dudes who have fucked people up in a fist fight, dudes who can play music.
Then, I look at myself and I just don't have the fucking "ammo" to go head to head with these dudes and convince a woman I am worth a damn.
Women, with so many dudes chasing you, how do regular guys even hope to stand a chance? Its unreal.
I honestly feel like every woman I like is actually being chased by about 10 dudes besides me. I have never been good at competition.
I just don't have the skills needed to triumph over another. I don't have the capital either. Even guys who have shit personalities might have the money to trump that flaw. My flaws aren't countered by anything with enough weight. Sure I have strengths and weaknesses but my weaknesses kind of shit all over my strengths.
How can I compete with all these other dudes man?
Well you're viewing a relationship as a commodity based on trades, so you probably still need to do some growing up before it's a real concern champ.

You sound like you have self esteem issues. Now dont get me wrong, im not telling you to become narcissistic. There is a fine line that you need to straddle.
What are you good at?
What are you bad at?
If you are able to answer those questions, you are capable of fixing yourself up.
Just remember that no one is perfect. We all have our flaws. This is a marathon, not a sprint. Also women are not as great as you think they are. DO NOT kid yourself into thinking you need a woman in order to be happy.

Older brother says I don't have money and breaks the things I save up to buy like my new laptop. I told him today upset in front of my mom that I wished he bit the dust early.
I feel regret to say that but honestly I'm broke and have no computer because my older brother (28yo) went inside my room and breaks my furniture and laptop because he has anger issues.
I regret what I said.
Why do you regret it?
Older brothers get the whole 'I'm not special anymore complex' and turn into giant fucking spastics to their younger siblings. It's normal to hate your older brother.
Would you guys feel to have an older brother that is college educated and you being the younger bro by 5 years with no college degree scraping to get by and then having him break your stuff you saved up 4 months to buy and refusing to pay?

Because I told him I wished he died early in front of my mom
Left my old job three months ago and today a 10/10 I used to work with (same store but different departments) added me on Facebook. I'm a total autist when it comes to girls; I haven't had a girlfriend in a year and a half. What should I say to her? I thought she was beautiful while I worked there but never had the courage to talk to her and now she randomly added me. She only has like 100 friends so I don't think she just randomly adds people... but all of her friends are people I know from my old job. Maybe she doesn't even know I left.
pls help what do i say?
>>17400521
just say hey and ask her how she is

rent out storage space in your ass
I made this thread yesterday, and I fell asleep before I got the chance to continue it, or reply to the post it got.
Anyway, I feel like I don't actually know anything about the only topic that really makes me want to pursue a career - art and its application in the entertainment industry - namely, animation.
I know little about the industry, where I should ultimately pursue success (is network TV viable or merely a side venture? My goal is to help the format of unrestricted online animation coalesce the popularity of television by continuing the trend online studios like what's it called, Frederator? The bravest warrior people - have created where network deals and network censorship or editing don't hinder the stories to be told.)
I'd like to continue what I was doing yesterday, calling out to any entertainment aspirees, filmmakers, animators, even comic cartoonists, anyone in the same mindset. I need advice, and maybe a little inspiration.

>Anyway, I feel like I don't actually know anything about the only topic that really makes me want to pursue a career - art and its application in the entertainment industry - namely, animation.
Find animations, and read the credits. Look at all the positions related to art. Look at the credits for video games. Once you get a list of job titles, start doing research. Google these jobs and find out what skill sets are required. If you can, look up famous people in artist's positions in animation, and see if you can find interviews, or anything where they shed their knowledge/experience with their job. If you're lucky, they'll drop word of some book, or text, or some kind of resource that's easy to access that they referred to early in their careers.

Well luckily I'm still in school, just finishing my associates in Media (journalism, broadcast, and writing degree) this fall. So I have to transfer to a school where I can pursue my bachelor's. Not sure if I should go for art, first of all because there's no schools nearby (or if there is, and I'm in NY right by the city - any CHEAP schools because debt is the dumbest thing an individual can do) that have it, or IF they do, aren't great for networking, like if I went upstate to Alfred or something.
I'm not going to fucking Full Sail or some shit so I can be with lesbian SJWs for 2 years and pay literally for the connections and an education I'd get elsewhere, especially if I go for animation, which like much of art, is a field I can learn entirely or improve upon at home.
So, with that in mind, nothing secondary really comes to mind, what I had wanted to do was diversify my resume a bit, between my associate's and bachelors. Sure, my 2-year community college Media degree isn't a powerhouse, but I like to think it an excellent backup considering my grades and the fact that come the fall I'll be graduating in the Com honor society or something (never was one for school clubs)
The thing is, I have a pretty good idea of the amount of people needed, and that's one of my biggest problems. One of the things I admire about (((internet))) animators is their autonomy. Sure, it's a rough climb to be noticed anywhere substantial enough to make even the smallest bit of money off of it, but I believe quality, humor, action, and content rule above all. Still, I want to do much of, if not all of the work on simpler projects myself, bar for maybe voice talent.
So, with that in mind, are you involved in any of these fields? and if so, what do you work with?
>>17400452
the big question right now is, can you draw three frames in a row that seem to be consistent enough to loop as an animation?
> Have you had them?
> How do you get rid of them in an apartment?
>>17400436
first thing i did was buy a bed bug mattress sheet thing so they couldnt get in or out. then i moved my bed so it was a foot away from my walls. then i bought raid bed bug killer.
id spray the area around my bed each and every night before bed.
bed bugs can of course crawl to your ceiling, then fall down upon you, but afterward they generally try to retreat. they will get killed by the chemicals on their way down O they will hide within the bed stuff. becuase of your sheets they wont be able to hide eaisly and you can murder them every day.
you can also consider throwing away the bed frame you currently have and instead getting a very simple metal frame. supposedly they cant crawl up it, plus it'd be really easy to kill them all without many hiding places for em.
if you have the resources, move.
>>17400436
I have not had them, and I have lived in VERY sketchy apartments, I think my part of the world does not have them as bad. The way you get rid of them in apartments is pretty expensive from what I hear (and the landlord needs to do it to the entire building in one go)
The way YOU get rid of them is moving to a new apartment. Also watch what stuff you bring to the new apartment as you may just carry the bed bugs over.
Getting a bed bug cover on your mattress helps but that is more of a preventative measure.
I want to be confident around women.
To cut a long story short, I was never great with women as a teen because I suffered terrible self-esteem issues. I've worked on them over the years and eventually got into a long-term relationship, but that ended badly which really set me back.
I'm in my second year of university now and really want to take charge of my life. I'm a very ambitious guy, I have a lot going for me, I work out and I'm reasonably attractive. The problem is, I just don't have the balls anymore. I've never approached a girl at a club, and I don't know what to say if I did. But I want to learn.
So, I have a few months to mentally prepare myself for this, but I need your help!
you rationalize everything you do because it makes you more comfortable.
its not your fault you were bad with women, you had self esteem issues! its not your fault you still dont know what to do, that break up set you back!
you will argue in response that you arent excusing or blaming your issues away, but your post and actions speak for themselves. you are in a place where you can say
>I WANT TO IMPROVE
>BUT GOSH GOLLY ITS SO HARD AND NOT MY FAULT
it is you subconsciously trying to perpetuate your life style. making you seem brave enough to try, but doomed to failure so its not your fault.
let go of htat. there are no 'self esteem issues' anymore. there is no more anxiety. there is no more practice, there is no more guides or tools or tips.
there is simply you, and other people. you talk to them. about whatever you want. there is no magical approach to conversation that guarantees results. and if a conversation doesn't lead to anything, thats fine. simply talk to people, and learn from it. go out with a friend and ask them to approach someone with you. let them lead. simply watch and follow along. then do what they do.
99% of the time you know what to say. you simply rationalize that 'nah thats stupid' and then dont say it.
many many many marriages, relationships, friendships, and conversations began with
>hi, I'm anon, hows it going?
Feeling depressed this week, for the first time in about 10 years. Tomorrow will probably be a difficult day at work, too.
Please tell me the most depressing awful things you can muster, to smack some perspective into me.

Substitute "Hillary Clinton" and it's as bad if not worse so that sort of helps, but is already big news.

this year i developed brain damage. it was manageable in the sense that i could live, but it made things like cooking or even eating sometimes impossible. i could not handle more than half a cup of greenbeans at a time. i often needed head support for many hours out of hte day.
i required a ride to my buss stop every day, because 9 minutes of straight walking was too much. i could remember what my password is, and that i needed to type it in, but it would take about five minutes for me to figure out that the two were related. id stare at a log in box knowing its purpose, and what to type, but could not connect the two concepts. just jumping back and forth between the two.
the doctors diagnosed me with MdDS which has no cure save for time, if you are lucky. he told me to go home and wait six weeks. if it didnt fix after that my parents wanted me to essentially give up on life and move in with them til the day it cured, if ever.
the damage was so bad that it fucked up my memory. i binge watched entire shows since i had nothing much else to do, and id forget it all. i still only remember the beginning and parts of the end of that show. little flashes here and there but not much else.
I was thankfully getting better after a month, but last week i had a relapse. recovering again but this time its much slower. i walk around in a haze, feeling like a ghost. its not enarly as bad as before and i am recovering, but considering i was 'cured' less than three months ago its scary that im having a relapse already and may well in fact have many many more in the future.
>be homeschooled all my life
How fucked up is my shit?
Depends. How much interaction did you get with other kids? Were you involved in scouts, athletics, etc.? When's the last time you met a new person that you had to learn to cooperate in some way?
>>17400415
Not very, depending on your level of socialization. I know a guy who was home schooled a decent chunk of his life, and he's got better prospects than I do.
>>17400432
I did scouts, along with a few other clubs, but I was an autismo all the way. I've just finished my first year of college. It hasn't gone horribly, I'm pretty attractive and have no instant turnoffs, but I simply don't know how to handle social situations. I've made very few friends, and become close with none of them.
Anyone here have many problems in the court system ever? Like false allegations for stuff... I was framed for criminal charges by several people.. It's a nightmare and has me homeless
>>17400380
do you live in the united states? maybe contact the american civil liberties union. idk if they can help but it's worth a shot. if you're outside the states, then I don't know.
what do you do about family who are brainwashed by religious bullshit and think a middle eastern guy who has been dead for thousands of years puts feelings into their head?
if it bothers you and can't get along with them because of it pull away from them.
Leave it be? What's it to you if they're not pushing it into you? If it's that big of a deal move out.
>>17400337
Is there physical danger to you, siblings, or anyone else involved? If not, I'd say deal until you're old enough to leave, and as you need to be 18 to join the secret club of 4chan, you are old enough to leave if it's very distressing to you.
Basically I'm looking for jobs in my area.
One in particular needed a promoter that had good language and social skills, which I have.
One requirement was "be goodlooking".
Being the insecure fuck that I am and also generally never giving a shit abouy looks, I worry that I'm not goodlooking enough to get this job.
I need you guys to tell me if I'm "goodlooking", this isn't attention whoring, say whatever you want but I need honest answers.
Pic related.
>>17400333
Yes. Being completely honest, you are good looking! Congratulations, you're cute as hell.
>>17400333
yeah you look good mate. a skinny superman kinda look, where you look cute with glasses on but will likely look sexy with glasses off. you arent top tier alpha hot, but I think you have whati t takes to pass the 'good looking' test. only one way to find out. apply.
>>17400343
>>17400358
Thanks mates.
I'll apply tomorrow morning since it's late night here.
Fingers crossed.
Are testosterone boosting supplements a bad idea? Or should I just try to boost it naturally?
I have very wide hips, man tits and I can barely grow a beard.
I'm currently losing weight but there are no signs of any of these things going away
>>17400331
Hair is genetic so is bone structure, no idea about gyno, though.
Test is also not an be all end all like people make it to be.
>>17400331
>Are testosterone boosting supplements a bad idea?
Can be if you don't regulate it. Unless there's a medical reason to use them, I would just suggest that you to keep eating meats, and lift weights if you want to boost your levels.
I had friends who were women. As i got older that look VERY DIFFRENT THAT I THOUGHT I WAS JUST HALLUCONATING.
ALL MY OLD FRIENDS HAS JAW LINES , BIG ASSES, MUSCULUAR VERY VERY DIFFRENT.

Hi
I am meeting tomorrow this couple at hotel, we have an agreement that I get to watch them have sex in intimate manner and then after I join them or just me and the wife.
since I am a 20 year old virgin, I would like to know how I can protect myself from diseases. please.
I am going to do this so dont talk me out of it. just help me stay safe please. thanks /adv/
>>17400315
everything you need to know about defending against STDs you more or less already know. which is to say, use a condom, and think about what hte condom represents
a protective layer between you and someone elses fluids in particular. this means that doing something like ,eating out a girl, could get said fluids in your mouth, and if you bleed when you brush your teeth, those fluids can seep in and give you teh aids.
just keep in mind that condoms are only 48% effective against herpes, which is caught because your general pubic region rubs against hers.
>>17400315
>I would like to know how I can protect myself from diseases.
bail.
100% disease free

Condoms, oral and vaginal (+anal duh). If you're going to suck his dick or let him put it in your ass, put a condom on it first. Don't eat her (or him) out. That is probably as safe you're going to get.
