hey /adv/

can you get into legal trouble for trying to gain access of someones facebook using a fake photoshoped ID?

long story short my catfishing/trolling account got locked for imperonating someone else. I already have a lot of friends and a history on that account so i don't want to lose it, I want to photoshop an ID of the person I use and send it in to get it unlocked.

can i get in trouble or does facebook not give a shit. seeing as there are so many facebook groups for assassinating Trump and facebook dosnt give a shit.

So we put our dog down last Tuesday. She was around 10 years old, but was sick and was very quickly deteriorating in the last few weeks. It was pretty sudden as you can imagine considering how she was still fairly young.

Yesterday my family and I had a sort of last goodbye to her. Everyone was very emotional except me. I just didn't mind. It was honestly an inconvenience to me if anything.

I really loved the dog. She was very sweet and loyal. But her death hasn't affected me in any way at all. My mother even told me "Don't sound too excited" when I apathetically responded to the news that the dog would be put down the next day.

I don't understand my lack of feelings. Am I just going to grieve later or never? I'm an 18 year old male by the way.

A girl Ive known for 6 months said that she was down to date me but she felt like I rejected her, so she had to get over her feelings for me. She told me this today while we were hanging out. Why did she tell me this now?

I've liked this girl for almost 3 years now and we used to be pretty good friends, i started flirting with her a year ago and i think it fucked everything up..

Our friendship has been kind of silent lately and i want to change that to how it used to be, i want to be at least good friends with her again.

I won't flirt or anything and she's in most of my classes atm, is there any tips you guys have for me to become her friend again?

So my computer is really, really REALLY shitty. I get infuriated when people complain about their PCs and I find out they have a PC that's godlike compared to mine. This one doesn't have Pixel Shader 3.0, which pretty much EVERY game requires in order to run.

Anyway, I've stuck with this thing for several years now. It lags while playing the first Deus Ex (2000), crashes Morrowind, and most games can't even start because Pixel Shader 3.0 is required. I can be satisfied with anything that's even slightly better than this, but I've decided between three choices now:

If there's anything better, tell me, but I want to know which one of these is the most worth it. Can any of these run a game like say, Overwatch? I really don't care about graphics and I would play everything on the lowest settings, so don't worry about that. I just want to know which one has the best price-performance, thanks.
Also, is there no better board for this? I'm pretty sure /g/ said that "/g/ is NOT your personal tech support team or personal consumer review site." Anyway, I'm counting on you guys, please help me chose. I want a balance of price and performance.

Hey guys, I don't know if this is the best place to ask but I'm considering learning the guitar, piano or drums.

Does learning any of those three make learning any instruments any easier? Like with rhythm, reading music, etc.

I have zero experience with any instruments but I'm willing to learn but I'd like to eventually several.

Also, I can't take classes or hire a tutor so it'll be books, guides and youtube videos for the most part.

Money is also a factor but as long as I can actually learn on it, I'll invest in decent instruments.

Hey, /adv/, just started working as a busboy in California. Upon receiving my first check, I noticed a tip reduction section, which reduces all the tips I make through the course of a pay period. The employer makes the staff note all the tips in a journal, which he later reduces from our paychecks.

California Labor Code 351 states that

" Every gratuity is hereby declared to be the sole property of the employee or employees
to whom it was paid, given, or left for."

However section 352 claims that

"Every employer shall keep accurate records of all gratuities
received by him, whether received directly from the employee or
indirectly by means of deductions from the wages of the employee or
otherwise."

It is the second part that confuses me, the "whether received directly from the employee or
indirectly by means of deductions from the wages." Doesn't this contradict the first section?

As far as i know, the owner has never given back the tips to his employees, but i am not sure if by some chance i would get them back in my tax return.

I worked at one restaurant before, and never heard of tips being deducted from paychecks.
I am going to speak to the manager on Thursday, in the mean time, i am doing some homework.

Have any of your tips been cut before? Any thoughts on the matter?

Is it autistic to sit down with an LTR, map out your financial status, habits, & goals, then negotiate how you'd work as a couple in the future? Y'know talking about prenups, retirement saving, insurance, college funds, private investments, budgeting, etc.

My gf and I have meetings like this periodically where we'll gather our notebooks, records, & other documents to discuss such things.

Before we had sex for the first time we provided STI test results, discussed sexual histories or lack thereof, fantasies, libidos, fetishes, the Kama Sutra and other sex manuals, porn, stamina, sensitivity, allergies, birth control, etc.

Then there the other discussions about personalities, mental health, family history, IQ, careers, education levels, genetics, religion, habits, etc.

I've been told this sort of stuff is unromantic, weird, and "unnatural" apparently.

What does /adv/ think? Should such things be figured out by trial and error?

Tl;dr My gf and I had a fight last nightand I don't know how to mend the relationship.

We were discussing babies. She said she had been looking at daycare rates to see how much money to set aside for daycare. This really surprised me, as I expect her to quit her job after pregnancy, and I told her so.

This changed her face completely, she was in a good mood and suddenly she starts looking at me like I'm disgusting and giving me the stink eye. She tells me she has no intention to stop working after pregnancy. I tell her it's best for the baby. She says it is nor best for her and she doesn't want a baby if she's forced to give up her job. I ask her why and she tells me she likes her job and she wants to keep her own money. I tell her I would buy her anything she needs and she gives me this look like I've got 3 heads and says she doesn't trust me on that, I don't care for what she likes as much as her (she's a big weeaboo... I'm not) and besides with half the money and triple the expenses with a baby I would use the excuse that we don't have enough money to deny her what she wants. She really doesn't want to be poorer so she wants to keep her job and her money and if I don't like that I can fuck off and go try ruin someone else's life.

What do I do? She was always great before this.

Might be breaking up with my girlfriend tomorrow.
Shes a muslim, I'm a Roman Catholic, she tried the whole conversion thing and I think I'm done.
We've been together for 2 years, her parents only recently found out about me.
Once they did, they began brainwashing her almost, becoming the person I didn't fall in love with, she wasn't practicing, she openly drank, we had threesomes, we went out and did whatever.
It all changed.

Am I justified for leaving her?

Never had this while growing up. I know I had anger issues but never like this. Basically to sum it up, I have moments where I have out of body / alternative personality experiences. Usually I do something dominating when I am under that persona. So far I noticed it only happens when I am around women.

Examples:

Was talking to a guidance counselor. I mention how I like things "Hard", bam I forget what I am saying and start coming on to her hardcore. I notice her nipples are hard so I look at them and wink at her. She feels nervous. We both walk out while i have a hard on. I went in extremely stressed and depressed, I walked out wondering wtf just happened?

I missed an exam so I e-mailed a teacher of mine begging for another date. She catches up with me on my way to class. She tells me I can take the exam later. I look at her with zero expression, tell her okay great and keep walking. I got to the class and realized what I had done, so I stayed after class and sucked up for her alittle because I felt like an asshole.

There was this girl who had been annoying me quite alot in a lab of mine. Would keep picking on me while I was trying to do experiments. I was pretty solid with my professor and I felt like she was trying to break our bromance. Anyways one day I go to bathroom and on my way back I run into her, she tells me the professor was looking for me and she told him she had no idea where I ventured off to. I felt angry, depressed and stressed because the bitch could have told him where I was. Anyways I got back to class. I looked at the girl and I turned into that other persona again. I literally looked into her eyes, smiling and I questioned her about the entire interaction. She got scared and basically told me it was her who was complaining to him about me. After that the girl started acting nice.

College classes just started back up again and I find myself confused. Last semester there was a girl I was interested in with a lot in common w/ me including the same major. After making plans with her to go out sometime months ago she randomly texted me like 4 hours before and cancelled while giving me an excuse saying that something randomly came up. We sat together in the class we had before and I just stopped really giving her the time of day after she blew me off. I come to find out she's now in one of my classes this semester. I was late the first day and sat in a random seat that was open and she happened to be right next to me, w/o me noticing right away. The next day in order to avoid awkwardness I got there earlier and sat in a completely different area. She came in after me and proceeded to sit right beside me and started casually talking to me throughout the class like we used to before she blew me off months ago. Why would she do that? If she rejected me why would she randomly want to start talking again and choose to sit next to me on her own accord?
