Hello friends. Today the story of sisconanon continues.
We left off as he gets dessert with his older sister.
Let us brainstorm ways to assist him, and if you have similar stories or situations you'd like assistance in, feel free to mention it.
I hope everything goes well for him ;_;
We should have told him to wait until they were drunk first.
So he posted something in the other thread but I don't want to copy and paste on mobile since it's a pain in the ass. Can someone else do it?
Is there any actual way to get rid of weeds? They just keep coming back and I so don't care anymore.
Do most people even bother? It seems like around here at least a lot of my neighbors don't.
Am I the only one that thinks that pristine green lawns are ugly as hell? I like them better with dandelions
OP: you can't get rid of them without massive amounts of pesticides. Why not use them instead? You can harvest the leaves of dandelions and eat them with your salads. You can use the flowers to make wine. The roots can be roasted and brewed like coffee. They're good for digestion and are considered to have antioxidant properties. Basically, why not make the best of the situation?
get a goat.

"Weeds" are also very beneficial to the environment. They're great for insects (especially beneficial ones such as bees, who need all the help they can get), and can actually be very good for other flowers.
I lost a ton of weight and all of a sudden, women find me desirable. People look me in the eyes. I'm struggling to deal with people looking at me, I'm used to being invisible.
How do I stop being a sperg and start being alpha?
>>17499771
>how do I start being an alpha
people are born alpha and born beta. It's not something you can lift your way into. But if you want to make a solid effort start with getting off this website.
>>17499771
you just keep trying to look em back in the eyes. then you get used to it.
>>17499787
>>17499779
I'm attempting to adopt a persona. Like a mask for my personality. I find that it helps massively with looking people in the eyes.
I posted a similar thread to this recently, but would like to re-ask.
Has anyone ever given a friend an intervention, or sent them to rehab? I just found out recently that our friend is getting up as early as 4:30 AM to get drunk before work, and then comes back to the bar right after. This needs to stop, so we're going to try to help.
That being said, I'm an alcoholic. He likes to deflect his problems off to me, but at the moment, my alcoholism isn't crumbling my life. I still want to help but I'm not sure of how.
Any ideas here? Has anyone been through an intervention? Did it work? My parents tried one when I was 21 and it was very poorly done. They had my doctor tell me about how he was raped by another man when he was a kid and then they told me I was a disappointment. So, don't wanna replicate that one.
>>17499736
If you are really an alcoholic, maybe you can do more by him as an example by fixing your own ish.
If his life is really crumbling, LE will get involved.
>>17499767
I'm an alcoholic by definition, but not really by life effect. I'm very functional. No excuse, I know it'll catch up to me eventually, but I work in an industry that encourages drinking quite a bit, and it would be very difficult to stop without having a major effect on my career.
Like I said, I know it'll catch up someday, I'm sure, but I'm not affecting my relationships with people, ruining my finances, getting DUIs, getting in trouble at work, or any of those things due to my alcoholism. I'm getting safely drunk at home or in a place where I can take public transportation home or get a ride.
I'm hoping for some advice that isn't just "stop drinking yourself," because that's off the table.
>>17499794
>it's this guy again
You're a functioning alcoholic for now, but it will catch up with you. You seem so proud of being a functioning alcoholic almost like you're bragging.
Actually, don't quit drinking. I want you and your naive brain to develop alcohol induced psychosis
I have an ex girlfriend from a year or so ago who is a really obnoxious sjw (she wasn't quite as bad when I was with her). I haven't had a girlfriend since then, haven't really felt the need until recently.
The only girl I'm interested has become friends with my ex and I'm worried she's getting influenced by her obnoxious sjw ways and general bad sense of humor (as well as probably being told bad things about me). I know this isn't a lot for you guys to go on, but could someone tell me a little bit about how you think girls influence their friends?
>>17499666
some do. some dont. everyones influenced by some degree by everything in their lives, but it depends on what appeals to them and what doesn't. two people have different reactions to the same thing because of all their past reactions to other shit.
ultimately it doesnt matter. ask her out. if shes into you, enjoy it while it lasts. if she becomes insufferable, dump her.
such is fate.
>>17499666
Nice digits , reminds me of my ex, you wouldn't happen to live on Vancouver island would you? That place is filled with sjws
>>17499696
Nope, Florida.
Do you ever feel like your life is sort of moving in one direction and you're powerless to stop it
I feel like I'm setting down on a career path that pays well but I will ultimately find unfulfilling in the long-term. I'm not pursuing "my dreams", but I am doing something that will give me independence and allow me to stop being a despised NEET.
I'm just torn. If I do what I really want to do, I may never succeed and will have thrown away a good career. If I go with the flow, I'll have the good career but always have doubts as to whether I made the right decision.
How do I deal with this?
More specifics needed.
>>17499663
I'm going to develop software for a big bank, but I want to make vidya.
>>17499674
>but I want to make vidya.
In what capacity?
What's a good kind of place to take a girl for a first date? We're both in college and 18, not rich but I work a good bit so I have a good bit of money.
OP here. I was thinking bowling or something?
mini golf
yah bowling or for coffee
So basically, my boyfriend and I like to do drugs sometimes, mostly amphetamines and methamphetamines. About a month ago I noticed how low his sex drive was since he didn't really want to do anything at all at any time, which was really weird for him, so I decided to log into his firefox account while I was at work to check if he was doing anything and basically after that I found out how he constantly fapped to porn and also to my best friend which we always go out with the three of us and he confessed how he has had sexual fantasies about her and his biggest one is us both giving him a blowjob at the same time.
Rewind up until now, everytime we hang out they act super suspicious and weird all the time, the other I caught blowing her kisses or thats what i thought, his dick is constantly hard while we hang out and it's just has become a really uncomfortable situation for me, yet he thinks im just batshit crazy.
Is this just the drugs or is he really up to something?
*fast forward, not rewind
Well I mean you're both degenerates so I wouldnt put it past him
both but i agree with the other anon, youre all some fucked up type of people
My voice is kinda high pitched despite my age. I want to make videos, but my voice might cause people to take me less seriously.
Tweaking your voice with a better mic and editing it with for example Audacity should do it.
There are a lot of tutorials on YouTube for this.
>>17499613
you can also manually lower your voice. i used to sound like a faggot. now i just sound like a fag.
>>17499617
this
try to feel where your pitch is coming from.
you want it closer to your chest (as opposed to your nose) but you also want to be comfortably loud.
You may 'turn off chat' for certain people on Facebook. You still receive their messages but they no longer see you as online.
How do you turn off chat for someone who is not your friend on Facebook?
>>17499598
You block them.
>>17499598
If you aren't friends then the messages wont go into your inbox, they go into message requests.
If you don't want someone messaging you, block them.
>>17499603
This. Why would you still want to receive their messages?
Should I consider getting into a relationship even if I only want better sex? Are there better reasons to get into a relationship?
>>17499576
In your twenties? Twenties relationships are often just practice relationships for when you're in your thirties and can start building a life with another person
Op here. I'm 26.
>>17499576
depends on how well you handle break ups.
i do what you do on a regular basis. i have flings that last between two weeks and three months. at the three month point it becomes a 'this is getting serious' and they want to see me more than twice a week and we gotta break up deal. and im good and okay with that.
so if ur good with that, go for it but if you know its going to be more than three months, not a good idea. you or her or both are gonna get hurt.
>boss just gave me Dodgers' tickets
>have never watched a baseball game on TV or IRL
>understand only the basics (hit ball run around bases)
How do I into baseball? What else is there to know? /sp/ moves too fast for me to ask there.
>>17499563
youtube tutorials are better suited for what you are looking for.
but you are just watching, you dont need to brush up.
im gonna be you soon enough my boss wants to take me to watch baseball.
>>17499563
Baseball is comfy af to watch irl. You just go there and chill with your friend (or boss I guess). Grab a few beers and a hot dog and just watch the game. I took my girlfriend who isn't at all interested in sports and she had a great time. It's real easy to follow.
Prepare to be bored as fuck by the fourth inning.
We broke up like two months ago and she is now with some fat dude 8 years older than her (she's 18 btw) and she has complained about things he does to me (thinks her kinks are gross, doesn't spend a lot of time with her, keeps making shit sexual, doesn't really view her as an equal). I still want her back and i've been improving these past two months with working out, learning new shit and getting a fresh mind and perspective. Do I just keep at it until their relationship ends or do something else?
>>17499559
Find a new girl.
-> >>17499568
>>17499559
make it clear you want her. if she doesn't get back with you, then leave her alone and just check in every six months.
So, last 2 days, my gf has started to talk (not irl tho, i'll see her tomorrow) a bit like she doesn't want to talk to me. I don't really know if it's the fact that she had to study for a test or that she kind of got bored of me, I don't know, I'll see tomorrow, but apart from that, what /adv/ice could you give me to keep my girlfriend really happy like it was the first day we became a couple? Because this (school) year she has the final exams so we're going to meet up irl way less times until summer, so, what should I do to keep my gf happy?
>>17499525
If she's slipping away from you there's nothing you can do to get the attraction back. Once the attraction fades it never comes back unless you like rescue her or save her life
>>17499531
Nonono, she's not slipping away from me, we're really happy that we are together and it's the best relationship we both had so far, I just need to know: How can I her happy during the year? Ofc we're going to be talking on Skype/Discord and playing Games together, but I just wanna know if there's anything else we can do when we are not together irl.
>>17499539
Remind her you're fun, so gaming together is the best way to do that. Snapchat and stuff too
I'm a recent IT graduate with a Bachelors working at Geek Squad. Would taking a non-IT job be career suicide?
I graduated two years ago with a CIS degree (which is not the same as Computer Science, it's essentially taking a programming bootcamp and stretching it into four years). After applying for hundreds and hundreds of jobs, first in dev work, then IT, then in anything vaguely computer related, I finally managed to land a part time job at the Geek Squad, which ended up being 39.5 hours with no benefits other than a 401k. It's not a bad job in terms of pay, but it's very stressful, and when I went into this line of work I underestimated exactly how much time I'd be sitting in a concrete warehouse staring at a screen.
Anyway, my city is currently hiring a seasonal park attendant. The pay range for the parks job is slightly higher than what I make now, and I'd get roughly the same amount of hours but at more manageable times of the day. There's a small benefits package because it's part time, mostly focused on health benefits, no 401k or retirement benefits, I assume because it's seasonal. The job description is essentially cleaning up trash, light maintenance, and being friendly to people who attend the park.
I'm not sure why I'm even considering it, but part of me feels like I'm at a point in my life where if I dive headfirst into IT, I'll never get the chance to work outdoors again without it being seen as poor resolve or a midlife crisis. I've never worked in anything but computer-centric jobs since I was about 14 years old, and I'm curious about what other people do for work.
What are your thoughts on this?
Go into tech sales
I dont understand, do you live in America? You can write code and cant find a job?
you do realize there people with no degree who are developers?
>>17499566
I don't know where you live dude, but in a lot of places in the US you can't even find a job with a masters in comp sci. The huge salaries you hear about are all in California.
