Alright, I'll tell you one thing as someone who's had to take a number of adolescent psychology classes for my degree.
First of all understand that at your age you are wired to think everyone cares about you and what you do far more than they actually do.
Forget about #1 there, it's not as obvious as you think and people do not care as much as you think, I promise you. Listen to an old fag with experience on this, 5 years from now you'll get it too.

as for point 2, find some sort of mutual thing. You go to the same school, that's a good start, find something in your school environment to break the ice. Talk about classes, talk about teachers, talk about school clubs and activities, talk about colleges since you're both getting to that point. Let conversation flow naturally.
If you don't take a chance you're guaranteed to miss out, just do it anon.

And if she shoots you down, I know right now it'll seem like a huge embarrassment but you know what, this would even be a good experience for you. The more you try and fail now, the better you'll be when you're older. Getting shot down isn't that big a deal, you just move on to the next one.

Math is one of the harder things to teach because if one student isn't paying attention or gets lost along the logic train then you have to go back and find where they fucked up or don't understand it.

I had a shitty professor too straight from China who I could barely understand but reading the book helped me.

Look up what you need to be explained on Khan Academy or YouTube. It's already a given that you need to read the textbook, so I would use those sites as supplements. You can also attend tutoring sessions that your college has.

It's pathetic how some people blame shitty professors for their having failed a course. I understand that some professors have stupid grading parameters, but not understanding the material is just inexcusable.

I have always been absolute shit at math, but I've never failed a class, because I tried my hardest. You really need to check ratemyprofessors.com the next time you sign up for classes, man.
