so a friend of mine is really depressed, we havn't seen her around much and when we do she kind of brings the show down
anyway it's her 21st, she's invited everyone to a party at a function venue
I got her a card, but I have no idea what to write in it
it's her birthday, I don't want to make it like she's in hospital or anything

Seems like you and her other friends don't give a shit too much about her problems, if that's true doesn't matter much what you want to do or say.

Why do I get an inexplicable urge to drive somewhere whenever I've got a lot on my mind or am having problems? I don't know if there are any psychfags that could explain why, but I always feel like my problems melt away when I'm driving down the freeway at 120+ miles an hour. If a job is causing me an incredible amount of stress is it one worth keeping?
I don't know if I'm a whiny little pissbaby, but I'll let you guys in on the basic things that stress me the fuck out at work.
The amount of hours, the weeks fluctuate between basic 40 to 70 hour weeks. With days starting from 12pm and ending at 9pm and then starting at 6am the next day which leaves me with barely anytime to do anything for myself. This happens on a regular bases too.
Don't get me wrong the slow weeks are great, but when you have a whole month dedicated to bullshit hours and people quitting left and right because of it. Leaving the employees that stay (me) to pick up a LOT of slack.
So should I just bail and find something new? Or stick it out? The pay is decent, and I have plenty of hours but again, it's the fucking stress that kills me

Ask them what they do for a living, if you have any knowledge about it ask them questions, bring up some topics that can relate to it, keep transitioning whenever you think a topic gets dull. But if they have a lot to say about a certain subject, listen to them attentively.
The hardest part of starting a conversation is the approach and getting their name. It requires a good setting and smooth transitions to not make it seem creepy, all I can suggest is practice, chances are you'll probably never see that person again, or you might hit it off. Gotta take risks .

So I met an extremely cute, cool, and smart girl, and I really like her, today I went on my second date w her and found out she's asexual. when I talk to my girlfriend I have to be very careful what words I use. She gets offended so easily and is noticbly upset.
The other week she said she was going to to her place after work and put on make up before she comes over to mine to go out.
