I found a 3 week old kitten a few days ago. My current 1 year old cat treats it (him/her) like her own kitten. Always cleaning it and playing with it. Sleeps with it. Eats with it. Never leaves its side.
I'm gonna take it to the vet for a check up. I'm afraid if I remove the kitten then my cat will become distressed and panic that she lost her child. Do you think my cat will start meowing like crazy and cry at the door cause I took the little one away from her?

Got in a minor MVA yesterday, need some advice.
I'm in right left-turn lane at four-leg intersection, which gets on to the freeway just past the intersection. Left left-turn lane continues up the intersecting road. Light turns green and I go through the intersection. There's about 5-6 moving cars in front of me in the lane, I have sufficient stopping distance for the traffic in front of me. Car comes up on my left, speeds up to get in front of me and changes lanes into the lane to get on to the freeway. At the same time, pedestrian is crossing in front of the freeway onramp and accelerating traffic comes quickly to a stop, with progressively harder stops since everyone was accelerating to get on the freeway. Car in front of me that pulled into my stopping distance slams on the brakes about a second after merging due to the slowing traffic, misses the car in front of them by a couple inches. I have no ABS, car locks up and rear-ends car in front of me.
The damages were extremely minor, no bumper or panel detachment, just a little bit of bondo and paint work. Both of us are fine so we exchange insurances and leave. There are no witness testimony, and no police report since we did not call the police because of how minor it was. I expected them to file a claim to fix the bumper, but now they're claiming neck/back pain and headaches. I'm talking to the adjuster on Monday.
Am I fucked? The person told me they were driving home from work, which makes me think they knew damn well the left left-turn lane didn't merge on to the freeway and thought they could cut the traffic that backs up in the right left-turn lane. I'm going to contest an unsafe lane change that contributed to the crash and that because of how minor the damage was to the cars, there's no way that they're all of the sudden pain and headache problems. Problem is, there is no proof of anything other than I hit them from behind. I think I fucked myself by not getting a police report though. What do?

That might be an issue, but it could also not be. Insurance companies aren't bound to make decisions based on police reports. Contrary to popular belief, rear ending someone doesn't automatically make the accident your fault in the eyes of the law. It depends on if the person in front of you did something illegal or unsafe leaving you no choice. If you keep your story straight and logical, and maintain that you couldn't have done anything else, you might not be fucked.
I was in a sort of similar accident once. I was merging into a turn lane and the guy that was going to be behind me decided to speed up and pass me, only he wasn't fast enough and ended up rear ending me. Since he didn't have insurance, I got a police report, but he talked to the cops first and convinced them I was making an illegal turn. They ended up writing me a ticket without telling me about it, and my insurance company ended up saying the accident was my fauly beause I lied to them (after telling them I wasn't cited for anything because at the time I didn't know I was). The whole thing was a clusterfuck and the guy who rear ended me, didn't have insurance, and lied to the cops wasn't penalized at all. In a world where that can happen, you have a shot.

I live in USA, I have been suffering from depression and anxiety for a while, but lately it's taken over my life.
I don't have health insurance, so I got into a low-pay program so I could see a counselor and get meds. I was able to talk to someone within a month, but they told me I had to wait 5 months from then in order to see someone that would give me a prescription.
That was 5 months ago, my appointment is on Monday, but they now told me they would only give me something for depression, that they don't give out meds that could be "abused" like anxiety medications.
I can't even lay in my fucking bed to try to sleep without my heard pounding away. I need something for this anxiety, and I have no clue how to get it without insurance or lots of money.
Please help.

I was prescribed for mentioning anxiety to a fucking gynecologist. Long story short, something fucked up and I ended up taking 150mg over my original 150mg dosage. Ended up with panic attacks, 2 months w/o sleep, mild cases of schizo, went manic to the psych ward for 4 days, awake the whole time.

Don't smoke certain strains of cannabis. When you go to sleep, focus on relaxing your body and your facial expression and just feel the bed. When you're comfortable start day dreaming until you fall asleep. You focus on real world problems that no one can shoulder themselves so think of things you'd like to buy or what you'll do the next day. Maybe ride a fucking battle armored stegasaurus, whatever. They have genetic brands for the meds, and they're usually very willing to write them off.
Just mention all your symptoms, don't even have to go for a sob story.
Again, try to battle it first before relying on taking a pill every day, getting it refilled, calling it in for a new script, checking up on it after a month for $30. I mean, up to you. I'd go for some Ambien before I went for psychologically mind altering drugs that numb who you are.

If that's the case, move as close to your work place as possible so you dont need a car. You're making decent money so you need to start saving asap. Any money going to hobbies ends now. Anything that can be sold for a decent amount of money should be sold now.
Check resources within your city also for homeless people. Technically you're homeless and still a youth. There are plenty of youth services that can help kids like you get back on their feet. Take full advantage of them. They're there to help people like you.

This is so stupid. My sister just called me asking about how she could start an online business doing "Tutoring in a sexy outfit via skype". I guess she doesnt want to admit to herself that she is willing to do some level of adult camshows. She is 36 yo and I believe is having a mental breakdown. She had a professional job a year ago but she got fired for failing a drug test. She is living with Mom/Dad and she can't land any jobs. Those are the sad facts.
I felt bad for her and gave her advice on her dumb idea. She would just rage if I didn't. I feel she is at an all time low.
I don't know where to go from here. My parents have tried called the cops trying to get her baker acted. She goes in and out of fits of rage, recently divorced, had trouble with the law, my parents literally moved to Wisconsin to get away from her verbal abuse.
I don't know what to do. My parents are coming home in 25 days. They will kick her out if she is abusive. I believe this will happen. I wont be able to help her because I have no money. She wants me to set up a website for her. She offers to pay me, thats not the issue. Should I betray her trust and tell my concerned parents? I think Ill just tell her not to give up on her job searching. I just dont know what will become of her.

i've been trying to install windows 7 on it for the past two days and have no idea what i'm doing. i have three disks, one from the official german thing that the /g/ wiki recommends, which is windows 7 ultimate, one from my grandparents, which is windows 7 pro, and some copy from a pirate site with updates up to april 2016.
the first one boots up, and loads, but the latter two don't. first of all, when I get to the partition part, I am completely lost on how to make it work without using uefi, i combed through the bios and couldn't find a solution. OK, whatever. but after that, when im able to install windows, I have no internet, that's fine, I've dealt with that before, download drivers off of another computer and install it. But with this one? for some ungodly reason the USB's don't work and aren't recognized so I can't do anything, its just a brick with default windows 7 on it, and now, I can't even load up any of the disks, what should I do? With my grandparents windows discs, there was one with updates and software, but the software was just things like adobe reader and live messenger, and the updates didn't fix anything. the computer came with a set of windows 10 home discs, but there's no key to it, so I can't go back and install it and suck it up either.
