I'm getting out of the military on December 16th, I've been in for 5 years (18 to 23) and whilst I have another job lined up, it'll be terrible pay for the first year because I'll be finishing my trade so i'll be an apprentice for that time, now for the pay we're talking $1360 a fortnight when I pay $1060 in rent a fortnight and thats forgetting bills ($200 a month for internet and electricity).
Now this would be fine because my girlfriend is employed and we were going to tough it out until I was put on proper pay.
Except this happened today. She's overly sensitive and emotional and prone to big outbursts, she's never displayed that at work and she's gotten much better since we've been together at home, but basically she got riled up by something her boss had said to her today. Without listening to a word I was saying or any kind of reason, she walked into the office and put her resignation in. She's got two weeks left and then she's unemployed.
So now we're going to be flat broke, as I just put down all my savings on a new car in preperation for the new job, to carry tools and the works, etc and I'd also planned a month trip as a bit of a celebration for leaving the military.
I'm not sure what to do. Except she's a fucking idiot. Now I've got to cancel the trip and begin work straight away, and I'm going to be surviving on maybe $60 a fortnight with rent and bills.
Any tips, anything? I feel im stuck in a corner now.

So I found a problem with myself recently. I have no desire to work for others. Like I don't want to work my ass off, come home tired and whatever making other people shit tons of money, but im not smart enough to start a business for myself. The only thing I can think of is changing my mindset on this, like I know i need money for food, and life and whatever but regardless I still don't want to work really hard for someone else to make money.

My best friend got kicked out if his parents house. He just turned 20, has no (running) car and no job.
He's currently staying with me in my apartment.
How can he get back on his feet? I don't have the money to lend him, and while he is steady looking for a job, he's had no luck.

I need help.

Alright so on March 15 my gf broke up with me. I was devastated and have still have not gotten over it. Eventually I heard from her friends the reason she broke up with me was because "I was abusive and controlling". This shattered me as my father was the same way and I had always tried to be the opposite of what he was. Nevertheless I accepted it not being in any mindset to think critically.
Fast forward about 3 months. I live in a town where the job market has only one place hiring and it's a well known fast food chain. Being that no one else is hiring I apply for a job there, so does my ex. We ignore each other until 2 weeks ago where she opens up and tells the truth.
In her own words she says the following:
"Yea you were bad but I was the worst" "I started stupid fights" "The relationship ending was my fault. I'm not with you now because I can't forgive myself for what I did to you"
I don't know how to take this. About a month ago I started getting over the relationship, but after this I'm reverting back now that I know I'm not to blame. I turned her down one of her attempts to refriend me recently. But now we're pulling to each other.
I don't know the exact advice I'm looking for. I guess what you make of the situation /adv/? What angle do you think she's playing? Should I go back with her if the opportunity presents itself?

I went in to a movie theater today and asked if they're hiring. They told me to come in later this week for an interview and to fill out the online app in the meantime. The online app requires 3 personal references in order to be submitted. I have none.
