Can someone help me not feel like total shit for being a complete loser who can't pass basic intro courses in college?
I wasted so much money just to spend half a year playing games and putting off studying to the point where I'm going to fail most of my classes and I"m considering just trying to join the military and shoot at fuckwads until I get shot myself.

I've met this woman from OkCupid twice. The first date was a little awkward, but on the second one we had much better chemistry. We have a lot in common and gel pretty well. I want to ask her on a formal date, but there is one major issue.

She takes an amazingly long time to text back. Aside from one occasion, she has replied, but most of the time she'll take at least 36 hours to reply to a single text.

She's admitted, without prompting, that she's a bad text conversationalist. She's working full-time in retail during the holiday season and taking a class for grad school, which is part of the reason for the delays in texting.


One time she sort of flaked on a meetup; I say sort of because, in hindsight, it might have been a simple miscommunication. At the time I called her on it. After that she was more committed when we made plans to meet up the second time.

I don't want to come off as hostile and demanding because I'm attracted to the woman. We're both in our late 20's. If she was better at communicating I would like to develop a deeper relationship with her, but right now I don't want to wait three days for a text back.

If we meet up a third time, my plan is to talk to her in person at the end about a better way to communicate with her. My initial plan was to form a friendship and nothing more after she might have flaked, but the more I get to know her the more I'm attracted to her. That or I'm super horny. I don't know. Either way, I want to give it a shot, but only if she's better at communicating. We don't have to talk everyday, but I don't want to wait 48 hours for a reply. It's silly.

What should I do?

Lets imagine you are in a relationship with this girl. She is really good looking, but is only with you because she wants your money. If for some reason you lost a lot of money or your job, she will leave you. If she finds someone richer than you, she will leave you. If you refuse to provide for her in the exact way that she demands, she will leave you. Wouldn't she actually be the ideal type of partner?

In order to keep her, you will have to focus on keeping your life on track. You will need to make sure you are generally better than the competition. If you are falling short on her demands, you will be motivated to improve yourself/job/income etc. As long as she is by your side, you should be in good shape. Isn't this much better for you than the love-you-no-matter-what bullshit?

I have been having problems with chronic indecisiveness for a few years now. At this point it is completely altering my life and leaving me in a state of procrastination and I feel paralyzed mentally (when a decision comes up). I just do not know how to get over this.. recently I became homeless and have been staying with a friend and I am so indecisive to the point where I cannot decide whether to spend my ~5K in savings on getting an apartment or just get a cheap van/truck and live out of that for a bit since I hate taking the bus and walking everywhere.. It's been a 6 month+ long decision and I want it to end. It is like this with everything - from meals I should have to what job I should go for.. all of this indecision has left me doing nothing - not living life.. just sitting at my gf's house doing nothing all day and depending on her for my happiness. Also, this had lead to me having waves of emptiness, sadness and extreme boredom.
Any /adv/ice will help..

I am an extremely gifted person and I am able to accomplish great things with very little effort, but I have no motivation anymore. I just don't see the point. I am so fucking unhappy that it's unreal. I have friends, but I still feel so alone. I just want someone I can talk with and be intimately connected with, but I don't have that.

What's the point of accomplishing things, doing great things, if you're all alone? What's the point? No matter how much I accomplish, I'm still not happy. I just want a "reason" to go on, to keep doing amazing things, but recently, for months, I am just totally defeated.

I lost 8% of my body weight in one month because I can't even motivate myself to eat anymore. I am doing some kind of drug, be it weed, drinking, LSD, adderall... every single day just so that I don't have to think about my life. I spent the last two days completely alone, and it was miserable; none of my friends wanted to hang... just one guy, and all he wants to do is drink and smoke. This is all getting really bad. I'm at the end of the line here and I know. I'm almost 26, and if I keep living like this, I won't make it.

Help. I just want someone to knock some sense into me before it's too late. Someone tell me why I should keep going on, give me a reason, please.

I'm currently renting an attic room. The tenant was a bit of a pain at first but I managed to adjust. One week ago he flew out of the country to work somewhere for three weeks.

Last Friday, I came home to find the central heating boiler leaking, complete with a pool of funny-smelling water below it. I cleaned up the mess and turned off the water so it'd stop making a mess.

I'm not sure how this is done in other places, but here the central heating boiler is what brings heat to the entire house. No boiler, no warm water or heating up the radiator.

So after that, I called the tenant to inform him about the leak and ask what to do. He told me to try showering under the circumstances anyway and that he'd fix it as soon as he came home (which at that point was about two weeks later). That advice was retarded so I ignored it. Instead I warmed up some water using the electric stove and used that to clean.

Two days after that, on Sunday, I met up with my family and told them about the situation. They weren't happy so I got in contact with the tenant again, told him showering didn't work out and asked him if he could arrange to get it fixed. He said he was busy but that he could arrange something the following day, Monday, and then started bitching about me using his pans. Apparently his girlfriend came over and found the used pans on the stove. I was baffled over his priorities but apologized as I didn't care as long as I got the heat back.

So Monday came and nothing. I sent him a message at 9pm asking if he arranged something. He read it but didn't reply.

Today I decided to go call a plumber myself. I sent another message to the tenant about this and he did reply to this one to ask if I could get another part replaced while I was at it. However, the plumber never came because apparently they can't do anything if you're not the home owner. I sent a message to the tenant yet again that I can't do anything and he replied, again, that he'd arrange something tomorrow.
