When it comes to the idea of wanting to get back/revenge on someone, how do you guys on /adv/ operate?
Do you try to get revenge on the person no matter how long it might take? Or do you try to be the bigger person and just move on with what happened, because you think revenge isn't worth it? This doesn't have to do with petty shit, I'm talking about stuff like someone in a past relationship severely abused you, someone knowingly cheated in some way to get ahead of you and succeeded, longtime partner is caught cheating on you for years, etc etc.

Something I've been wondering about a lot recently sInce got back onto dating scene following the end of a previous relationship:
Basically it just seems like every girl I like is in some way so different from me that a relationship couldn't possibly work - e.g. Last week a girl who's easily a 9/10 (I consider myself a 5 or thereabouts) confessed that she liked me [so there's complete inequality in looks], whilst at the same time I know that she struggles to keep afloat economically whilst I am fairly enormously wealthy (she doesn't know about the fact I'm well off so it isn't a gold digging scenario) [another imbalance], and finally, although she is far above average intelligence - I am abnormally bright to the point where on every conceivable topic I have more knowledge than she does [yet another part of the relationship which would be unequal]
This seems to happen very often with me, and I worry that the ensuing relationship would consist entirely of resentment for one another; I've had previous gfs who have eventually hated me for wealth and intelligence, and I them for their looks.
How much of a problem is this likely to be and should I keep lookin for someone more similar to me?

Her friend is being kicked out of post-college school for bad grades (she's hardworking, but her English is too limited), so she's going back to her own country soon. So the friend is rather sad.

>Plan is she'll stay with me for the rest of her break (almost 2 weeks)
>Her: "Oh, I can't stay with you. My parents really miss me, so I'm going to spend the break with them."
I'm disappointed, but oh well. Her family hasn't seen her in just as long, so I can understand.

>Her: "Oh, instead of staying with my parents, I'm going on a road trip with that friend for the rest of my break. I'm leaving tonight. See you next year!"
Other details:
1. This wouldn't be the last time she sees her friend. Both gf and her friend are from the same country, and gf visits her home country like once a year, and would see her friend there.
2. I have work so I wouldn't be able to join them on this trip.
I get that her friend needs comfort... and that's important... But I'm kind of surprised and disappointed that her parents are suddenly a non-issue and it's totally fine to not see them. And the whole break? Is that really necessary? I feel like it should matter more that we've been together 4 years and this is now our only time together.
And now it sounds like there's a very good chance her friend won't even be kicked out of her school...

At a Christmas party I held the baby of my boyfriends cousin (2 year relationship).
While holding it I kissed the baby on the top of the head. I didnt think about it. (Mid 20 female myself)
After a bit the mother took her away and didnt seem too upset but i got to thinking maybe i crossed a line. Most mothers don't want people kissing baby on the lips, but what about the head?
