I was once in a bar/club by myself, while my friends went to get pizza (wasnt hungry wanted to dance a bit more), couple girls turned around and stuck there fingers up at me, not in a jokey kind of way, it seemed quite malicious. I literally didnt do anything, I was just near them, because everyone is near everyone on the dance floor, and dancing, like everone else. Let me ask you this: When you say you've focused on improving yourself, what exactly did you do?

Confidence ain't shit if you aren't good at faking it, or actually possess it. It's usually gained through self satisfaction, which makes faking it easier, and consequently becoming -actually- confident is even easier.

Looks should be more than just combing your hair or wearing some nice clothes. Physically, you'd do well to match up. I know you said you're short, but if you hit the gym regularly for a couple of months I guarantee you'd look considerably better - and you'd also FEEL better, and that would translate right back into confidence.

The hardest part about learning to socialize is the first part. It's a skill that you can develop, or let die. I broke out of my shell by just striking up small talk with people around me, trying to get them laughing, or sharing a story. Baby steps, regularly, will translate into bigger steps - but you need to push yourself to take these steps.

Anyways - what exactly have you done trying to improve yourself?
