i should add that he is very easily impressed and convinced if i do say something. if i try to use any of those topics as a conversation starter it just ends in me doing a monologue and him nodding but probably not really understanding what i'm trying to get at. that's why i just stopped. i don't want to stuff his brain with my pre-made doctrines. what i would want is a discussion. i'm open to overthink my approach to those things, but he would need good arguments to win me over. and he just has zero. and i have a lot. so i kind of just overroll him in such conversations... and that's not what i want so i ended up avoiding it completely. which sucks

It sounds harsh but maybe you two weren't that close. My buddies from highschool tried hard to stay close but somebody always had "something to do" and the plans went down the toilet. Last time we saw everybody was probably in 2011. It looks like HSV. It's not "genital herpes" because it's not on your genitals. It could be either HSV-1 or 2, but ether way doesn't make much difference. Just wait for the sores to go away. Try abreva cream or plain Vaseline to help healing.

Unfortunately herpes is a lifelong condition. You can get hsv 1 or hsv 2 in either place. You are right, hsv 2 is usually called "genital herpes". It is possible to get that on your mouth.

These women are looking for emotional validation but going about it the wrong day. They are constantly miserable because whatever attention they receive is "never enough", whether they know this and are actively complaining about it or not. They want someone that listens to the them and cares about them and all that jazz but don't seek men with those qualities. They likely end their flings feeling tired, sad, and used. They likely continue the cycle because being wanted, at least physically, makes them feel like they have some sort of value (although it will keep tearing down their sense of value and they'll complain that no one "likes them for them" because no one stays)

What options do you have? The Dragon Quest series is great, but most are on DS.

Persona is great, but they're on old PS consoles or vita.

Have you tried some of the episodic games like Tell Tale's Walking Dead? They're story rich, but they're not RPGs.

I was looking into the new dragon quest but I played the ps2 one as a kid and found it meh. I don't really like the tell tale games that much, not enough to buy them at least
