how do i sleep when i have a cough?
any recommendaitons? i already took some night time flu relief but it seems to be hit or miss. this cough is killing me. you guys helped me figure out how to deal wiht congestion, but how do i sleep with this cough?
i got a humidifier going, a hot cup of tea by the bed (though it cant stay hot all night as you can imagine) and even fall asleep with a cough drop in my mouth.
anything i can do to just not cough for a good 9 hours?

well ,my gf is overly attached to me .. and by overly , i mean : she explodes when i say i want space. she just dont understand.
she always want to be with me,every minutes and constantly want my attention.
shes overly jealous . (i cant TALK with the opposite sex) and if i do, she will go talk to some thirsty dudes on purposes.
and she also needs to feel that i NEED her.

i tried to make her understand that its not supposed to be a question of needs but a question of choices and she dont understand either ..

You need to break up with her.
You can't really change people in the first place and even when do start to change or improve it's usually at a slow pace. Often it never happens until something huge occurs to shake up their life.
If she's not even willing to give an inch, ever, then things are most definitely not going to get better. It's not just a matter of being ruled by one's emotions - she just plain outright cannot think beyond herself.
She might grow out of it one day, but sad to say it's extremely unlikely to be while she is still with you.

So in my CS class we have this textbook. Supposedly we're supposed to read it I think? I'm not sure. The assignment simply says "read chapter 1". However the professor has already made a power point presentation of the notes for the chapter. I'm basically trying to figure out what the best way to go about it is. Chapters are kind of long. Anyway I have 3 options:
1. Read chapter and take personal notes
2. Read chapter and use professors notes
3. Don't read chapter and only read and use professor's notes
I mean obviously the 1st sounds best but I'm thinking it might be overkill. Stupid question I know but I'm trying to figure out how to study best. Want to get all A's.

Hey /adv/. I need some help deciding what to tell my current employer when I'm giving them my 2 weeks.
My current job is kinda salty when they find out someone's leaving, and if you mention it's for another job that ended up offering you more money (basically my situation), then they could fire you before the 2 weeks or force you to be "off" for 2 weeks straight and work like 1 day like assholes (which is basically getting fired.)
The reason why I wanted to leave is because my job was paying me under minimum wage (we have under 26 employees. It's a thing apparently) and I just can't get by in life like that. I'm moving onto another job that'll pay me $11.25 so there's no way I'm turning them down. I've been with my current company for over 2 years and they're really immature about how they handle things like this. I just want there to be no drama and want a clean cut. I don't like making enemies or leaving anyone sour but I might not have a choice.
What can I make up that's a good reason to leave the job? Or should I just tell them the truth?
tl;dr Current job gets salty if I tell them I'm leaving for a different job. Should I lie or tell them the truth?
