how do I break up with a girlfriend who is really caring and sweet and would feel devastated if we broke up? She's infertile and I don't see a future with her, ultimately, and there is another girl I'm interested in also who has been giving me signals.
I imagine my current gf just crying and being alone without me, hating her job and becoming reclusive…she's already fairly reclusive.
I was thinking of pretending to do hard drugs / becoming an alcoholic and obnoxious, so she would be repulsed and dump me. I guess that would be easier?

One year ago, I made the horrible mistake of giving a reddit a chance.
Immediately I was hypnotized by this horrible machine and slowly I started becoming a pleb.
Thankfully, recently I was able to regain consciousness long enough to delete my account and vow to never return.
However I always find myself coming back when I'm not paying attention.
This problem extends far beyond simple internet habits since I've found that my standards of humor have been lowered and I'm generally less likely to form my own opinions and search instead for group consensus.
How do I cure myself completely from the reddit mentality?

Clueless virgin here, with a probably very, very stupid question.

Alright hey guys I don't come to this side often but there is a event in particular that happened today so the story starts off I have com back from my flat to see my mother and father we talk a little bit and that then the subject of marijuana comes up and o smoke marijuana alot and most of my family had for awhile but they stopped due to mental illnesses and they keep getting on at me and saying it will fuck you up and such and such but they don't accept my opinion and I leading a healthy life I go to college I do my work and then I go to my job I am happy and in a perfect standing relationship and my opinion on marijuana is it's different effects for different people can I get advice here should I stop or is my mother wrong thanks though <3

I was recently at my fathers house and I found some old stuff in his closet relating to a family divorce we had. I had already come to terms with the divorce and had adjusted (it was 15+ years ago) but I decided to open up a composition book out of curiosity. Basically my father had written down everything that had happened during and after the divorce, from his own point of view. He was just as confused as I am right now, and according to the book, my mother had cheated on him with another man. She completely fucking broke his heart. When I read further, I realized how dishonest my mom was, having multiple incidents in the past related to drugs. She was a liar, a cheat, selfish, manipulative, and a coward. She denied him visitation rights to me and my brother for almost a year. She ruined our fucking family.
I still see my mother often. I don't know whether I should be shaking with anger or bawling my eyes out, but right now it's a little bit of both. I don't know if I can look at her the same way ever again.
Am I overreacting? Should I bring something up?

so, I'm the drummer in a touring metalcore band. We have enough success in the scene that we play mainstage at festivals, world tours, etc. I love it, except that the girls are always so gross or fake. either they're 15 year olds that scream about wanting to have my babies, or they're fake (hot, but plastic as fuck) hoes that call themselves "alternative models" or "makeup artists" when they really just hop the dick of any guy in a band that will get them 15 minutes of attention on social media and backstage passes
well, I randomly met a girl on twitter that just seems completely different. She knows my band and likes the music but is just really.. cool about it I guess. and she's so beautiful, but not in the fake painted on way. she replied to something I tweeted and made me laugh really fucking hard, which is pretty hard to do. her DMs were open so I just started messaging her, admittedly I thought she would fangirl and I could easily get some hot nudes from her, but we just started chatting and she was just so funny and cute and witty in a way that most girls I meet aren't. damn smart. and she just doesn't seem like she wants to use me. we've been talking constantly since we met, and she hasn't said a word publicly about it when I know most of the leeches I meet would. she calls me on my shit, she treats me like a regular guy. she has her own unrelated dreams that she's achieving on her own and has zero interest in using me to launch her shitty youtube career or some shit. she likes what she likes and has always been true to that, she hasn't changed herself to try and appeal to me.

I struggle with schizophrenia. I'm currently on medication, but the depression that comes with it is quite strong still. I've self-harmed before, but my parents and therapist are telling me that it's not beneficial. I know they're right, but I just had a really shitty day and I'm feeling really tempted to cut again.
