I´ve been dating with a girl just for sex, we met at the university in a group of friends, we´ve had some sexting and we have met exclusively to have sex. A week ago she felt really soft, we came up, but she just wanted to cuddle, petting and she acted like neve before. Last night she wrote me and said me that she´d like to date me in a different way. She´s cute, inteligent, and charming. There are jewish couples who first met each other in a fucking nazi concentration camp. Don't worry how the things start, just go with the flow. If she is intelligent and charming as you say, that is better than your average instagram whore that most of the FWB tend to be these days.

College drop out here. looking for work that isn't flipping burgers. There will be a local class on welding from September to January, 3 hours a day, 4 days a week. Hi /adv/,
I'm 21 years old and have been severely struggling with Bipolar Disorder Type II and Major Depression, since I was a pre-teen.
The reason I'm posting here is to ask if anyone knows of any kind of long-lasting injectables (lasting at least a week or two per injection) that could help me with this, versus having to take pills every single day.
I'm currently prescribed Abilify 20mg and Prozac 80mg, once per day.
The medication works when I do take it, but especially when I'm in severe lows like this, after not taking it for weeks or months at a time (this has been a frequently recurring problem since I was a kid, with taking medication regularly), it's so difficult to just break through that mental wall and just force myself to take a stupid pill every day for weeks, until things get better in my head.
I just want something that could help me, without me having to worry about taking pills every day for this.
I've already consulted my psychiatrist about this matter and my distaste for taking pills, but she told me that she isn't aware of anything along those lines..

The biggest problem of long acting injectables outside the hospital setting is, the side or unwanted effects can't be reversed easily. So, a long history of continually using the drug is useful in determinig whether you're suitable for long acting injectable form.
Other than that, it's up to your doctor to evaluate whether it's beneficial in your case.

I leave for Basic Training here soon, and the combined time of Basic and my tech school will be close to 9 months. Is it honestly worth being in a relationship during training? Or should I end the one I am currently in. We have been together for a year now.

Former marine here, it's honestly super rare for these types of relationships to work, but sometimes if you truly are in love with each other, it'll work. Most times, they're back home getting stuffed by some Jody. If anything don't you fucking get married after boot camp, just don't.

If you enjoy talking to each other online, chances are you will enjoy talking to each other IRL.
I have met quite a number of women IRL from dating sites and it mostly has been alright.
You literally only have to look out if they want to bring someone else to date because they are nervous or whatever because that third person could be very annoying or hogging your attention.
If it's just the two of you, it can never be too bad. She is probably more anxious than you are anyway, so it's your chance to lead the way how the meeting goes down.

Didn't think I would be posting about this.. But I guess I will anyways..
So I have been together with this girl for around 1 year now, who I truly love.
We are both in our early 20's..
I love the time I spend with her and I really think she's the one for me, however from time to time we suddenly get into a minor discussion and then afterwards just stop talking for like 30 minutes or longer..
Might not sound that bad, but it hurts and I can tell she hates it as well..
So I need some advice.. What can I do to prevent this? How can I deal with it, so none of us get's hurt or sad?

If it bothers both of you than just have an open and honest discussion about these silences and come up with an alternative that you are both happy with. Easy. A few weeks ago I had what felt like an ingrown hair on the shaft of my penis (I grow hairs on my shaft and tweeze them). I popped it in the shower but didn't bandage it or apply an antibiotic afterwards. Then a few weeks later I felt a sharp sting and noticed an open red sore where the ingrown hair was. Now the sore looks very similar to ones that are associated with syphilis, but while it is painless the rest of the time it stings when it is touched. Should I go get tested or would it be a waste of time?

My MA thesis advisor dislikes me and most probably thinks I'm stupid, lazy and a horrible person altogether.
I just finished my thesis and she (grudgingly) accepted it at last after weeks of corrections and berating me. She said things like
>If I wanted to be mean I would show you the works of your colleagues who wrote great theses in the same period of time :^)

I feel that this opinion isn't wholly justified and she didn't give me accurate feedback as to why my thesis is shit. She heavily criticised my use of point lists quoted from peer sources, saying it's like cheating to fill more pages and that it doesn't belong in an MA thesis which is supposed to be original thought. I just used them in my methodology chapter to establish some framework for my analysis...
My defense is in 2 weeks and while I'm sure I'll graduate, it will be a bitter day for me. I'll most probably get a low grade and won't get any recommendations. If I ever wanted to work in this scientific field she'd probably talk shit about me even if I didn't encounter her again.
Not that I wanted to as I'm not especially passionate about it anyway - the field is translation studies and I don't think it's a 'science' worth pursuing. I've always focused on the practical side of the studies - translation - and my advisor knew how I felt about it and she later attacked me for it

As I said her feedback felt vague. I don't think my thesis is an original one but I also find it hard to believe my colleagues' theses were so much better. It would help if she clarified what she meant me in a normal way and wasn't a complete bitch in every interaction with me.

Have you ever gotten a piece of advice from someone and you had a million questions but they only left you with tiny amounts of information?
Over a year ago someone gave me advice on a career, on this board in fact, and I've never forgotten it. But there was so much more I wanted to know, so many questions. I just don't know what to do because he wasn't very descriptive, but what he said made sense. It just fucking hurts so bad because I want to do what he said but I just need to clarify on a few things he said.
I don't even know what I'm asking advice on I guess, I'm just asking if anyone here knows that feel.

It was just vague in the sense he didn't go too into detail about every aspect of what he said. This was career advice, saying what he did, he just wasn't super thorough.
