Why do I find people who look similar to me incredibly hot? I don't even care for boobs or ass. As long as girl has blond hair, green eyes and pale skin I'm all hers. Same goes with guys. This shit is weird, am I the only one? I don't want to fuck clones for my entire life but I don't find other people attractive. I was talking with a girl on tinder, she was meh 5/10 (but I'm not some 11/10 professional model so it's okay I guess), I wasn't really paying attention to her till she send me another photo where I could see she had green eyes. Automatically she jumped from 5/10 to solid 9 for me. What the shit?

Also having preferences is fine. Why would it be a problem?
>>
>>18689639
Because there are not many people matching my preferences and others seem unatractive to me. Its far beyond preference, it's a must have.
>>
>>18689684
Do you actually want to be attracted to other people? Or do you feel like you "should" be attracted to other people?

well isn't that kinda the point? Not that I have any luck in finding a decent site or anything like that.

So I watched a documentary on Autism, and thinking back on my childhood, I think I exhibited a lot of signs. If I am on the spectrum I'd guess I'm on the low end and don't really feel the need to do anything about it, but I just wanted to ask if other people feel they might be "slightly autistic" and if it helped knowing.

One of the main things that got me was "A sign of Autism is a lot of playing alone, hand flapping, and leaping straight up when very excited." When I was a kid I was very engrossed in my action figures. I had whole stories that carried over from different play sessions and I hated playing action figures with other kids because they basically just based actions figures into each other like "MUH GUY IS THE STRONGEREST BECAUSE LASERS!". Anyway, when I got to exciting battles or moments in my stories I'd sort of leap up and hand flap. I liked to develop fight scenes and "rewrite them" to think of a better way out for the hero if the odds were bad. I once realized a baby sitter was sort of watching me do this and I realized suddenly "this is a weird thing to do in-front of people" so I stopped playing with action figures unless totally alone. I played with action figure secretly, probably at least until late middle school and never had a lot of friends. I still find myself actually enjoying toys when I babysit my nephew, I have to make sure I don't get carried away around adults. It's weird, I get like a genuine 'high' from playing with toys. But don't own any toys outside of childhood ones that are stashed somewhere in my attic. Yet I think I would actually play with them if it wasn't weird

I have a job and a gf now and a few friends, I'm kind of socially aloof, but I seem to manage. I'm well liked at work and good at interviews. Whenever I learn about autism though I keep finding these moments that kind of "click" with me and make me think, "damn, if I was my parent I would definitely get me tested"

Am I on the spectrum? Is autism over diagnosed?

Go to a doctor instead of trying to self-diagnose lmao
>>
>>18689403
No, having imaginary worlds as a child and not being Rico Suave is not a sign of Autism. 90% of people claiming to have Autism are just making an excuse for their failures. People with real Autism will embarrass themselves often, are some even mentally deficient in several besides socializing.

>>18689874
That is, if they are even capable of picking up on cues that lead to embarrassment.

How dold I live a structured life without becoming completely obsessed? I'm always constantly trying to self improve but naturally I get stuck and fall back on old habits and often end up beating myself up about it. I start trying to follow strict regiments and build up patterns but I try to do too much and when things don't go to plan it messes me up. This can also lead to a lot of procrastination. I can't stop reflecting on all the mistakes I've made and wasted time and I dwell on that instead of trying to change, or it at least gets in the way. I want to live life in the moment instead of setting so many goals in the future. I'm rambling here, but if anyone can connect with any of what I'm saying and has advice, I'd love to hear it.

Focus on small things first.

Make your bed, floss, set time aside to do 1 productive thing before free time. Read a chapter of a book before bed.

Also give yourself a present every day, a la Dale Cooper. Don't wait for it, just let it happen. It can be a quick nap, a nice hot cup of coffee, a new shirt. Whatever you can afford. Just something small to keep yourself positive.

Don't stress too much and just take it one step at a time, and know that it's okay to fall back into old habits as long as you can recognize what you're doing and make efforts to keep moving forward. Don't beat yourself up about it.

I've got some serious problems about choosing the right university. I'm really into physics since i was 15. I also consider myself a quite good guitar player but i don't have the proper knowledge(music theory, jazz technique) to pass the exams to get into the conservatory, though they're necessary in my country to get there.I was thinking about learning all these stuff by myself or getting a private teacher, while attending another university. I'm afraid that this would be a mistake,'cause i'll not have the right time to focus on a particular subject as physics requires A LOT of work to do. So i was thinking about studying phylosophy (which i'm passionate with, and sounds like a good compromise, not as complicated as physics, but also quite different) while i attend all the music stuff that i need to pass the exams for the con. What do you think of all of this? What choose would you make? Time is almost over so i have to decide as soon as possible.
Sorry for my imperfect english, italian fag here.

I was really into guitars a while back. I always thought it would be cool to be a luthier. You could still have fun playing but not have to worry so much about theory all the time.
>>
>>18689359
Music theory is super easy especially if you already know how to play an instrument. Study it on your own for sure. You'll find that a lot of the concepts in music theory that you'll be learning, you already know, just by a different name. I can't help with the other stuff but definitely start learning theory asap. Also go see live performers if you can, preferably jazz and independent musicians, it will help supplement your studies.
>>
>>18689380
I will definitively start studying it. I also never refuse a live performance, expecially if it's of the kind of those you mentioned. I appriciate that man. Last thing would be choosing physics rather than phylosophy,or viceversa.

How useful is a Political Science degree?

I'm considering getting a PoliSci degree that would allow me to get into Law School, but I'm wondering how useful the degree would be if I decided not to pursue law after finishing the degree. I'm sure it would be more useful than something like Philosophy or Criminology in terms of real world application and Law School potential, but all in all I'm not sure.

Thoughts?

Hey /adv/, need some advice about cats. I'm a cat owner and have had both my cats for about ten years. I just moved away for college and I'll be going back to get my cats in a few months, after I've gotten situated here. Here's my problem- my roommate met a cat (2 years old) at the local pet store that they fell in love with and are strongly considering adopting. However, the landlord says that if they get this new cat, I'm not allowed to bring mine. She fears that because my cats are older and this one is younger, they'll spray all over the house.

My friend would be heartbroken if they couldn't adopt this little guy, but I can't just leave my own cats of ten years with my mother. They're probably confused enough as is as to why I've been gone for so long.

How can we either persuade the landlord to let us have all three cats, or hide the young cat whenever she visits? There will be times where she will surprise visit or come on very short notice.

>>
tell your roommate tough titties, you planned to bring your cats first and have already formed bonds with. they on the other hand barely know this third cat and can surely survive without it
>>
>>18689218
>spray
If your cats are female, they wont.

If your cats are male and werent neutered, i wonder how you managed to survive all this time with them.
>>
>>18689218
I'm assuming you're in the US.

Spay and neuter your pets, then spraying isn't a concern. As for your landlord, she sounds like a controlling cunt. If you already have a lease in place and theres no restriction on what you can have, she can pound sand. As for "surprise visits," she has no reason to be on the property unless theres a maintenance issue or a showing. Reach out to your local tenant rights organization and find out what the legal notice requirements are for your jurisdiction.

Find out how long an eviction takes and what the wait time is for the county sheriffs, too.

Your worst case scenario is that you beg her off for a little, make it tough for her to prove anything, then play the clock down until you move. Evicting you is more expensive than she wants to deal with, I promise.

Like 10 years ago when I was a kid, my uncle gave me a Star Wars display model of the Slave 1 ship. A new one is worth about $85 (CAD). I don't care about it and just put it somewhere in my room, but my dad wants to sell it.

I kind of feel bad since it was a gift from my uncle. He probably wouldn't find out I got rid of it. Should I sell it or keep it?

This is what he gave me: https://www.amazon.ca/Titanium-Star-Ultra-Diecast-Slave/dp/B000EYB72W

What are some good sex positions for girls with tight vaginas?
3 posts and 1 images submitted.
>>
upside down
>>
On top so you can control the insertion at your own pace, it will hurt less. Once he's all the way inside have him pick you up(if he can't manage to do this, you're not gonna have a good sex life anyway), and put you on your back with a pillow propping your hips up. Tell him to gently thrust, not too deep at first, and it will make it easy to find your g-spot this way and trust me you'll know when he does.

Another good one is basically both lie in your side and spoon. Have him enter from behind while one leg is up. It hurts less in this position and he can cup your boobs while you rub your clit for a lot of stimulation and physical closeness.

The more you get used to sex the less time it will take to adjust. And if you're extra tight please make sure he understands how important foreplay is.

I'm a really late bloomer and my sexual skills are seriously lacking. How do I find someone my age (late 20s) who is willing to be patient with me while I learn to please them? Most girls I've met want to be dicked down right from the very beginning and you won't get a second chance if you don't perform the first time. I've been researching different sexual skills like fingering and foreplay technique, cunnilingus, sex positions, etc but there's a difference between knowing these things and being experienced in them. I've seen hundreds of digital vaginas but the first time I laid my hands on a real one it was like this complicated mess of bits I couldn't figure out how to deal with. When I told the girl I was inexperienced and I'd like to learn how to please her she lost interest and moved on.

Put your belly in front of 20 other bellies a day and you'll soon will find the perfect partner in which will be patient with you while you learn to please them. The key to getting what you want is SEE MORE PEOPLE.

You have to meet numbers of new people in order to be successful. Do not let the last 2 or 3 people you have met run your life.
>>
>>18688980
Last a long time, make sure she's enjoying herself. Find that one thing that gets her off and don't stop until you can't move anymore. Then you have permisson to finish.
>>
Practice with prostitutes. I'm serious. Think of a prostitute as your personal sex trainer. Get up to speed on sex skills that everyone your age already has.

How to pass the driving test when I've already failed 3 times? I don't even know where to start, it 's a big failure in my life.
I've already had lots of lessons.
3 posts and 1 images submitted.
>>
What do you have to do in order to pass the test? I had to drive properly, parallel park, and perform an uphill/downhill park. What caused you to fail the past three times?
>>
How did you fail the last three times? Did the instructor give you feedback so you can do better?
A few tips:
1. Try to take your test early on a weekend morning--the roads are dead and you'll be less stressed out.
2. If possible, go to a DMV in a quieter neighborhood. Again, less cars, less craziness, less chance of fucking up.
3. Move your head. You know how they tell you to be aware of your surroundings? When looking at your mirrors and blind spots, don't just flit your eyes back and forth. If the instructor sees you looking at your mirrors and whatnot, they'll know you're being conscious of your surroundings.
4. Don't wear a hat or sunglasses--they can obscure your face and make it hard for the instructor to see what you're looking at.
5. Use those blinkers! Even if there's no one in the next lane or you're just pulling onto another street, ALWAYS signal.
That's just a few off the top of my head--best of luck next time and hope that helped a little bit!

How can I read for a long time and not get physically tired? After reading for a long time my back starts getting tight and my legs start getting numb. Kind of like when one drives for long periods of time without standing. In other words is there a way for me to keep reading w/o standing or walking? Any help would be appreciated because I'm a college student and I'm demanded to read many things.

Reading for extendes periods of time is bad physically and mentally.

I'd recommend breaking down your reading time, either by chapter or by sections within a chapter if readinf something akin to a textbook.

I would recommend trying the SQ3R method. It has helped me greatly when breaking down very heavy, intensive texts.

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/SQ3R
>>
>>18688972
I forgot to add, if you absolutely have to read for long periods of time, try taking a short break every 15 to 20 minutes. Walk around, stretch, attempt to quiet your mind and meditate on what you've read.
