Basically, companies try to or even MUST avoid hiring for such short periods, and the few that do usually are for the simplest jobs low-paid jobs like fast food cashier or store aid or such only.

yes. there are tons of people who do not cry at funerals. people process grief in different ways, and for a lot of people they dont begin to process it until long after the funeral. others dont experience it the way others do, the intense longing. some people are simply able to cope with the reality in front of them.

Depending on the questions, she's likely hiding things she isn't comfortable with sharing. Even though you guys have been talking, you're still basically a stranger to her so it will take a while before she will open up to you. If she really is the shy type, she might just be too afraid of you possibly judging her. Whatever you do, don't badger her into sharing anything she doesn't want to share and just keep things relaxed.

What are they feeding her? Read the label. Is there grain in it? Carbs that the cat, being a carnivore, doesn't need? Some cat foods now even have sugar in them.

The bad nutrition (and artificial flavors) in modern cat foods makes them want to eat more and more. Their bodies know they're not getting the right nutrition, so they eat and eat more empty calories.

If you really want to do something for the cat that will also meet your parents' goal of helping the cat lose weight, research making your own homemade cat food, or else research which store-bought foods are healthiest for the cat (high protein, low carbs).

I had some neighbors with a morbidly obese cat too big to groom himself; they began making their own food for him (mostly canned tuna), and he lost the weight and became healthy and much happier again. You could be doing that cat the best favor anyone ever has by taking charge of his nutrition.
