Why are certain characters so popular in this fetish? I've noticed Korra, Tron Bonne, and some others get quite a bit of art. To summarize: the same characters get requested all the time because most people, diaperfags or not, are huge fucking plebs who don't even bother looking for shit that's not mainstream.

I bought one of these a while back, and it continues to be really nice. I've been wearing it to bed almost every night, since it's so comfortable to sleep in. One thing I've noticed about it is that even though I'm normally a side sleeper, it's so thick that I pretty much have to lie on my back with my legs spread. While it's true that there are many variations as to what could make a particular drawing difficult or not, most artists who have had formal training or have a professional background in it, have learned to quantify most of their production into the mechanical aspects of body composition and background drawing, so they have a rough estimate of how much time each aspect will take, and based on the amount of time it requires, how much they will charge.

Chibis are more simplified bodies, so they take less time, and so the artist does not charge as much. Having a background in addition to a character drawing can be quite time consuming, so unless the artist does some really simple backgrounds, or has something pre-prepared, they will charge more for backgrounds.

Not that anon, but it does in a sense. From my limited understanding of RM's fantasy world, he has it set up such that potty training occurs far later in life than our standard age of ~3 years old. Apparently in RM land, it happens around the age of 21.
