Well, now's around the time I would be picking out an artist, but as you can see I don't really have many responders at the moment. Since you're in need of money, how about I make you a deal? Sketch me up a super rough version of the commission to show that you can get the composition and shapes right. If it's good enough then I'll give you the commission, even if somebody better shows up in the meantime.

And I thought I was being nice. I'm willing to give up potentially higher quality or a better deal to help this person out, but since I'm paying for it I think I'm allowed to have some standards. Yeah, and they haven't, which is my point. If someone was really excited by your idea they would have said so within a few threads.

Its nice to offer someone who needs money a commission, but usually, at least in my experience working with artists, them making a sketch and haammering out the basics is completely standard. It isn't a special deal, it's how this normally works. Saying you would forgo better artists to throw this guy money is irrelevant, you are buying a product from them, they don't care (or shouldn't) that you have other options. Of course you do, the thread is full of them.

Lastly, I'm sorry I've gone on at such length about this. It really isn't a big deal. It's just that your reposting your request is very draw thread like behavior, and that isn't what this thread is. Please don't make it a habit, it's one of the reasons I couldn't stand the draw thread on /v/ anymore to begin with. Most people just say whatever their fetish is and leave it at that, and they either get responses or find an artist who will do it, you know?

If you ever saw the ABA request I used to post on the draw thread, I never posted that here. I just found artists who I liked and then asked if they were game, and got some art made. Don't make this harder on yourself than it has to be, man.

Are 19 finished commissions since mid july till now good?

If i put my back into it i can do two a day every day, but i only do one and im never able to do all of them anyways so i have to turn down a bunch of people and keep on closing my commissions just to catch up on the backed up ones. One takes me around 5-8 hours so its only of matter of comms received.

I said i could do 2 a day, that would be 10-16 hours so theres still time left to do something else but im lazy so i only do one which is half a day at most. I do it as a hobby and the commissions make it a job i guess but i would draw regardless.
