What do you think are the best/most notable western porn comics, /aco/? Either ones from big, famous, well known artists, or ones that helped their creators get any recognition at all.
What would you say could be a considered a "classic" entry in the western porn comic genre?
Bonus points for being a purely original creation, and not fanart.

There's Sunstone by Stjepan Sejic, a Croatian dude who has worked with DC. It's more of a romance comic than porn, but I thought it was OK. Mostly lesbian bondage stuff, but the artwork is good in the first 3 books.

For me I guess InCase's insane workrate and quality and Fixxxer's notable designs make them front-runners for me. Classic entries are tricky because obviously smut-comics have been going around since before the internet, but where's the wider circulation? They never really gained traction outside of Europe.

For some reason, I feel like it's not gonna age all that well. I mean, it's probably gonna be enjoyable, but the hype people have from waiting for each page + the blue balls given by the few-months-long foreplay and bulidup have more effect than the actual content of the comic.
When it's complete, 90% of readers are probably just going to skip right into the sex scenes and then complain that they are slow and have no real action.

Kohta the Samurai is a pretty good one.
Art definitely evolves over time. He's made good progress from his first pages to now.
Early on its much more focused on the sex. Now, there are still plenty of sexy times, but a bit more emphasis on the story and characters.

Sunstone is good, I can see that even if I'm not a huge fan of bondage. It was more educational then anything else and played a role in expanding my understanding.

In terms of quality it's much better than anything I've seen on /aco/ as you might expect - it's Alan fuckin' Moore. There's artistry in every panel.

The orange-to-white ratio changes multiple times over the course of the comic. Look at the first two pages: Page one her eyes are almost completely blue, page 2 they have wide orange circles.
Puazi either have shifting pigment in their irises, or they have a multi-layered iris with different layers contracting independently. Possibly that allows them to filter out different parts of the color spectrum, or serves purely as non-verbal instinctive communication. I think that the more aroused she is, the more uneven the coloration between eyes is

It wouldn't have anything to do with the spectrum. Any light getting through the material of the iris would be diffuse. Communication only slightly more sense. An entirely different iris just for communication? It would take a lot of evolution to deviate from a tried and true design and I don't see sufficient evolutionary justification for it... it's a better explanation than nothing though.

This book is the reason I hate Canadian censorship laws regarding depictions of minors in porn.
I think it is as distasteful as whoever wow the law, but it's not morally abhorrent. There's no real children being abused or raped, there's no real harm done to any real person. And especially in the case of Lost Girls, this is one of the few cases to be made for pornography being considered art. It's imaginative, inventive, benign, and fantastically written. The fact that it's also profoundly unsexy is beside the point. The pornography is integral to the tone and plot, it doesn't work without it.

I'd assume some relation to light has got to be there. All parts of the body we use for communication - tongue, eyes, arms - also have some other practical use.
I'd even risk saying that all body parts that are part of communication evolved the communicative aspect as a secondary feature.
Maybe if we were talking about a major signal - like a loud noise that announces to everybody that you're looking for a partner - then it could have evolved purely for the purpose of communication, but just a minor detail like changing color when you're aroused? I doubt it would be beneficial enough a trait to develop.
Maybe it's not for seeing different parts of the spectrum, but rather for protection? Like, either the Puazi Planet Sun, or some other light source on the planet emits bursts of intense light of different frequencies, so the multiple irises originally developed to protect against that.e
