I got stuck on this pretty quickly and it's shit, so if someone wants to expand on this or redo it, go ahead. Tl;dr: multiple different districts, functional human and cosy demon architecture merged together.


First off, there have to be separate districts, some for larger demons, some for smaller ones, some for floating ones etc., but unlike something like Zootopia, they aren't as extremely separated and diverse, a human could survive in all of those, but they might have some problems.

Now, the architecture. I'm not sure what the timeline for this looks like, but I guess after the events of the New Doom, the scientific base has been repaired and slowly, more settlements were being built around the labs and factories. All in the futuristic, cold UAC style. Hydroponic farms have to be expanded to feed the incoming humans and demons alike and soon, it's possible to use them to grow plants that aren't just for food. Slowly, instead of military bases connected only by rough terrain by some pipes and rails turn into modern buildings with streets with patches of lush green vegetation to liven up the blue and grey walls on red sky background.

With the demons coming in and new districts being created to accomodate them, their rough architecture starts bleeding in. While in Hell, you'd walk in broken stone (and wooden, in case of classic Doom) corridors with statues of monsters around you covered in ever-flowing blood, in New Mars, the two styles merge together to create something else. The cleanliness and practicality of human engineering, combined with the rustic, natural masonry and woodwork of the demons form a new type of architecture.

The upshot of that is that it'd probably be a nice ego boost for them, especially the lower caste demons like knights and imps, to dominate someone they could kill without straining.
