Starting to make a game is easy. Being able to finish it, that's hard. It's harder still if you are trying to pay for everything out of your own pocket, else have a personal life. Even spending money to try and make money to spend more money to try to make more money, ect - It doesn't work until you have spent enough time/money in the first place, and even then you make not be able to produce what the masses want.

As ironic as it sounds. To make a genuine batman type of game, RPG Maker would work best in terms of flow and structure. The player would physically be able to walk around the mansion and "play" as batman. My only issue with this is lewds. Defock does a guy go about showing the lewds on a mini screen.

Technically, it's "World Hero Trainer" though, since she's the hero of the world and "Avatar" is used in the title of the first iteration of the series. Funnily enough, Aux refers to it as "WT" in our conversations, which can be mildly disconcerting because it's also an abbreviation for "Witch Trainer". Well, I can't say for sure that they'd turn you down, but a good artist can always make his own game, somehow. Honestly, it's more the writing that drags the process down, and I don't just say that to excuse myself. It's seen time and time again across multiple projects. I blame Western education.

How much linearity vs freedom do you guys like in a game?

I think there has to be a certain degree of linearity, but with options for a few different, purposefully unique slaves. But in my opinion, there shouldn't be any increasing difficulty per se. Instead, the speed at which the player progresses in different parts of the game should have consequences for the options that become available to him.

5 is pretty ambitious if you ask me, but you've got the right idea about variety I think. By "purposefully unique" I mean that the slave have distinct characters, like in Princess Trainer with Iris being a "bad girl" whereas Jasmine was a snotty brat. You want the player to feel like they're training different people, even though they're in the same situation of being enslaved. I feel like that's what really separates a slave trainer from a harem simulator.

As for difficulty, I'm a firm believer in accessibility. It shouldn't take any real effort to get to scenes (yes, tropic, I already know you hate me); it should just take time. My idea of "gameplay" is tuning the game so that everyone has a slightly different experience playing it, by introducing both positive and negative consequences for spending too little time doing something or completing quests.

I don't believe that's necessarily the only right way to do gameplay in these games, but that's the way I like it.

Well if I'm fully honest harem simulator is somewhat closer to what I'm working on than slave trainer, though there are certainly corruption elements. Not massively fond of full on misogyny, nor would the setting lend itself well to it.
