I'm not sure how to put this into words, but I freaking love scenarios where the mentally regressed girl is dumb as rocks but thinks she's acting all big and mature. For example, a girl thinking that she's using the potty like a big girl when she's actually just sitting on the toilet and pooping her diaper. Or like the scene in that pic I posted where the girl thinks she solved a basic math problem when she actually just drew some scribbles onto the paper.

In terms of concrete stuff, I love babytalk, childish naivete, and a lot of scenes with the character after they are mentally regressed. Too many fics end the story right when the regression happens and I absolutely hate that.

Relative to what an artist charges.

I will break it down. Assuming the skill level is average for the writer, we can compare them to another mid range artist. If Meru is charging $50 for a finished piece that takes her four hours to complete then a writer should be basing their words per hour around the same length of time. Let's be conservative and say a writer does 700-800 words in a hour and they're proofing their work thoroughly. That would be around 2.8k-3.0k words for $50.

Most writers in this community either under or over charge, though.

There was this one story. In a daycare for adults, reality modified by a device as normal. The caretaker was having a small spelling test, and asked the group to spell 'comb'.
Now having previous experience as a proper adult in our world setting, she should be able to get it. But try as she might, the gal could only spell it as 'come'. It's all right though, that's a hard word.
The frustration when the smarter kid got it right was beautiful though. Because that smarter kid was a brat about it in all ways. And always had been.

Had it bookmarked but without the name. And the blog has since been set to private.
