I can elaborate with my own problems. The entire comic is masturbation. It's Ennis' cool team of trenchcoat wearing European badasses who get to stomp all over the stupid dumb superheroes. The premise is on the level of every Youtube flash animator who makes a cartoon about Mario swearing and doing drugs. The biggest problem is that it goes on for so long that it's no longer shocking. The Vought guy's speech about how Homelander is boring rings true for the entire run. After a while, all the depraved, violent shit just gets so commonplace that you stop caring.

I like to think that to some varying degree the heroes from DC and Marvel do these sort of fucked up things.

I mean ultimately Batman is a really fucked up guy and his family too. Instead of killing off all these insane murderers, rapist, pedophiles in Gotham, he locks them up but they always get away to just do it over again.

Ether kill them off or make a damn good prison so they don't escape. I bet Batman gets off on it in some sense, probably a huge adrenaline rush
