You haven't seen (and won't find) remarkable celebrity likenesses for G3 because of that resolution issue; DAZ markets HD morph SDKs (think high-density subdivision patches), but the licensing prohibits you from selling characters made with them outside their own storefront. Hasn't really caught fire because of this.

Not telling you what to use, but gently letting you know the limitations of the G3 figure set. Notice that people are now selling G3 clones for Genesis 1 and 2 to allow G3 clothing to work on them.
