Here's mine:
1. HentaiWriter will open up 2 more Patreons based on nothing but sketches and a promise.

2. Snow Daze will get delayed at least 2 times due to voice acting, and when it is released, the voice acting will be more distracting than hot.

3. Maple Syrup will break $25,000 a month and no one will understand how those mediocre, short VNs garner that much support.

4. Aylia's Story Chapter 1 will get delayed again and again and in the fall, YT will quit.

5. MITY will finish book 2 and 3

6. And finally, Ganassa's artwork will fit nicely into Claire's Quest and it will be one of the better games of 2017

It's foolish to think any project goes forward without discipline. People will only rally behind a common reason, which most times is money.

You have artists who can't code, you have coders who can't art.

There's no one who can actually manage a project. No one who can wants to work on these shitty games, there's no guaranteed revenue, it doesn't really look good on a resume and it just comes off as a massive waste of time.

The community is judgemental and most people won't pay for most types of erotic content. There's no viable distribution network outside of filesharing websites and no promotion outside of a couple imageboards and obscure forums.

Look, I was one of the people who told the Snow Daze dev I didn't think voice acting was going to be cost effective, but I do believe him when he said it wouldn't cause delays. The time it takes to do the audio will depend on the voice actresses rather than him. And also, I think he said he's getting a few of the voice actresses from HuniePop, and they all did fine jobs there. Now, the dialogue he gives them will be a factor into the quality of the audio, but nothing I saw in the Day 2 demo seemed outlandishly bad so I willing to give the benefit of the doubt.

I have my reservations, but ultimately I am looking forward to Snow Daze being done. I had a look at his patreon while typing this up and the art seems like it's coming along as well (BIGGER!).

Second; is Ganassa actually working on Claire's Quest? I actually follow Ganassa on DA and whiile they're not my favourite artist, he/she/whoever does alright, and Claire's Quest is a game I liked from what I played earlier in 2016.

but if I were to try. I'd say that it would be some sort of level system. You can effect things below your level or 5 levels above. Everything else will be incredibly harder.
So you want to romance the tree. You can do it the regular smoothtalker way and try, you can use gifts or you can use different skills.
Some skills might frighten her and give a reduction in affection while using.. erm.. plant summoning would give +affection etc. Some skills might do nothing.

You then gain skills/powers. You might get.. lets go with.. firebreath. Firebreath would be useless in a trainer game buuuut you could use it as a damaging ability while grinding enemies so you can sell their belongings for gold to upgrade the base etc.

And if we went with the Re:Monster world you could go "hmm this is a cute loli girl. But I am not really into lolis. But if I grind her level to 100.. I could evolve her into something new. Maybe a goth vampire or a sexy drider" etc

In a three man crew, you can have the programmer, the designer and the artist.
This is the smallest possible unit, unless one person can do more than one thing.

As the "ideas guy" you have to be the designer, so you will write dialogue, draw how the UI looks, and think of how the game actually plays, mechanics wise.

My idea is to eventually yes, you to be able to transform generic NPCs probably fully and followers to certain extent.

Making a game (Even an RPGMaker game) takes a great deal of actual work, especially from scratch. Doing a passion project for your specific lewd kink is great for the start, but on hour 20 of coding shit to do it starts to drag and you wonder why you're doing it.

Most often the reason you're doing it now is patreon bucks. Having teams of people make patreon bucks difficult because it's all about dividing up the money. Who deserves what, will the artist disappear, whatever.


On top of that, making sex games has a pretty major "Seeing how the sausage is made" syndrome. Where you get super fired up about a project because by god you're finally going to make a game that scratches that futanari goblin buttfucking fetish you've had forever. But when you're on week 2 of writing the third green asshole gape scene in Renpy it really starts to tug on your "Why the fuck am I doing this?" questions. You can't even fap to it when you're done, you're just making it for some dick ass anons online. I can say this as someone who's started several projects.

That is, unless your'e raking in the patreon bucks.
