I think it's the lack of available artists willing to do that kind of stuff. Or we may be seeing a studio all doing a very similar style ,or keeping to said style. Independent artists who show up on HF, dA, or other sites who are southern american origin often show differing styles. A lot of these styles often reminds me of artists from the 50s-60s. Maybe it's an aesthetic a studio tries to keep up with?
