He's good but I don't think anything he did was all that amazing. Gunbuster had a good ending, everything else was typical medicore coming of age story. Nadia is overrated mediocrity. So is Evangelion. It relied on edginess, pretentious visuals and fanservice to hook in its chuuni fans. The actual core plot of Evangelion was generic and shallow teenage melodrama. Its "psychological" aspects was just a bunch of kids screaming and nothing new or interesting.

Komm susser Tod had really bland and pedestrian lyrics. Kare Kano, again, decent but nothing special no matter how hard Evafags pretend. As for his Godzilla film, yes it was the best one. Gotta give him props for that one.

Nasu is still the most intellectual person in the industry to me, before you fags start shitting on his works, I'm talking about his novels not the butchered anime adaptations of them. The fact that Nasu can make something as generic as a hero guy with swords so complex and interesting, so fleshed out and well developed was actually impressive.
