Damned shame what happened to Blood as a n IP. Started off cool with Saya being a violent badass who was every bit as scary as the monsters she fought. Plus hot dick sucking lips.

Then they turned her into a whiny school girl who needed to be "saved" by her bishi butler or whatever the fuck he was supposed to be.

Then she was some comically inept shrine maiden, and if she vows to "protect" you i would suggest getting your affairs in order.

If they do another Blood anime i expect her to be a full on retarded moeblob who spends her days eating cake and ice cream and running to school with a piece of toast in her mouth, who goes through a sailor moon style magical girl transformation , before fighting monsters. Also magical talking dog.

I think the way they set up the twist in C was actually pretty clever even though the twist itself was boring.
When i watched it i asked myself questions like where the monster corpses go, why her injuries are gone that fast, why her school only has 1 class and stuff like that.
I never expected that they actually thought about that too, since almost every other show would just have this stuff in by exident.
Also Saya is cute.

I remember Blood+ being ok, I must have forgotten about how plodding the pace was but overall my memories of it are mostly positive. A bit too "crawling in my skin" at times but still watchable.

Blood C was a trainwreck and the only parts of note are the hyperviolence and gore.

Like a lot of posters here, just watch the movie and if you like that go with Blood+. If you just want something short, and dumb watch Blood C.

No, the movie is set in 1966 and Blood+ is set in 2005. It's a prequel and you can definitely watch the movie first as that is the release order of the series and it will help with some of the callbacks throughout the anime.

Blood C is the strangest comedy I've ever seen because I think it is trying to be serious but is clearly too ridiculous to be taken seriously.

Blood+ is one of the old shows I really like, rewatched it recently. I have a soft spot for anime for girls in general. You can pick who you like in Saya's harem and cheer for them. The only thing I didn't like is that the final episodes had like 3 huge asspulls.

Blood+ is a lot of traveling after Diva and Saya's crying like Shinji about having to fight (which is understandable considering she has a personality of a normal teenage girl). Lots of characters are bland and undeveloped like Haji or Divas supporters, characters that are not bland like those Schiffs and Kai are mostly useless. The show has great ops, shota rape scene and easy to marathon.

Blood C has CLAMP's character design and some references to other Clamp's show like that shop with Watanuki from XXXholic. Saya is a normal teenage girl again, but a cheerful this time and she won't bat an eye as monster is tearing someone of her friends apart. The gore is unintentionally hilarious, when it was airing nearly everything was covered in white beams (so make sure you are downloading BD rips), the reason the show seemed like a mess would be explained but the explanation is not making much sense too. Movie was nice to look at but didn't add much. I liked it since I like train wrecks. Saya is the best protector.

Blood+ is a bit boring but watchable. It's clearly too long.
Blood C is a goddamn abomination, one of the worst show ever made. It doesn't even work well as a comedy because the first episodes are terribly boring.
