Please stop bashing this series, I love the direction it's going and think this is perfect, because it's directed by Ishida a writing genius. This guy is capable of driving deep character plot points, and you're just looking past some of the best fight scenes we've gotten so far in Re. You shouldn't be so judgmental before an arc is over, just look at the golden age arc of Berserk. Everyone hated the manga while the ending of it was going on.

I'd like to say that this is his series, not ours. While you may think the story should go a different way remember that life is full of things that we don't approve of and just like life this story is full of adventure and mischief that his mind is creating between this characters. It's his child come to life.

What was the point of Arima's and Eto's plan? To have Kaneki become the OEK by killing Arima thus rising ghouls trust & hope on Kaneki and decreasing the humans hope since their symbol of peace died by the hands of a ghoul that betrayed them?

The worst part is that Ishida could have saved Kaneki's character with the 24th Ward arc. If he had him really take on the role of the One-Eyed King and made Kaneki start leading raids against the CCG and Oggai it would have ended this stupid pacifist story. Kaneki also could have made contact with Audie and Juuzou to plot against Furuta, mabye even use Amon and Akira as middlemen to give them something to do. Then instead of having this stupid, Oggai raid the 24th shit, reverse it and have Kaneki attack the Oggai so that Urie and Kuroiwa can confront Furuta without distraction. This would also eliminate the problem with no one hearing their fight, since they would all be off fighting Goat in the street.The pregnancy bullshit should never have happened either. Instead use all the time that story got and spend it on Ayato's expedition. Even better, have Touka go on that expedition that way she we don't the stupid Touken romance and she can be doing something.
