I dropped it somewhere around Chapter 12 (I think) because so little happened.
The whole thing felt like this borderline autobiographical story written with way to little distance from the Author.
Without knowing anything about him i would bet money on it that he hadn't finish HS yet when he made it.

Kurosawa ends up realizing this and becoming frieds with him, despite spending the earlier parts of the manga laughing at Broccoli for being passionate about things instead of putting up some retarded "I'm too cool to care about anything" facade while being a complete loser loner like Kurosawa.

I'm pretty sure that Kurosawa ending up with delinquent girl just goes to show that everyone's gotten over the dumb shit that went on. It also shows that she's an actual human being and not just a dumb Stacy like edgy Kurosawa would have thought.

This is possibly my favorite manga. Like at first it was genuinely relating to the character for the whole "intelligent, nihilistic, wicked sense of humor" thing but as the story progressed I realized I related to him because I was also a piece of shit.

That's why it works so well. Same thing happened with me, I was in high school when I read it and I was basically edgelord Kurosawa and I was totally into his character. Seeing him pull himself together genuinely changed my life. It might not be the most realistic story, or the most fascinatingly deep take on the human condition or whatever, but I've seen so many former edgy introverts say that this manga helped them become better people, and I think that's totally valuable too. Back when Oregairu was airing and the threads were full of people talking about how they were just like 8man because they were the cool type of loners or whatever I remember being really glad that I read this manga before entering college.

Really? He went from basically hating everyone and fucking jizzing on people's clothes (don't forget the first time he did this there was no blackmailing involved) to a good kid trying his best. It only seems less drastic because we spend 30 chapters seeing that change happen from Kurosawa's point of view, as well as the reasons behind it, his thoughts, etc. Isn't it possible that Sugawa came to regret her mistakes, just like Kurosawa? Koe no Katachi is all about a regretful bully, for example.

That's a pretty important thing to keep in mind. Everyone else is a person, just like us. Just because not being inside their minds makes it harder for us to empathize with others, that doesn't mean they're just unchanging extras. Sugawa isn't just the delinquent bully character, she's a "real person" (she's actually a fictional character in a chinese comic book, but you get the point), just like Kurosawa isn't just an edgy pervert.
