>scene in America
>everyone speaks Japanese or Engrish
>when the writer clearly has no idea how other countries work
>anime takes place in a world where Japan doesn't exist
>characters follow Japanese customs anyway
>scene in California
>gun shacks on the beach and gun vending machines
Raildex you wacky wonderful world.
>scene on /a/

>scene in America
>everyone is either a big black man or has blue eyes and blonde hair
>set in Britain
>everyone speaks Japanese
>bad at English

>no Hollywood sign clearly shown in the background
Proof that you haven't actually been to California
Hollywood:
>scene in ww2 germany
>everyone speaks english with bad accent
>scene in 13th century mongol empire
>everyone speaks english with "asian" accents
>scene in russia
>everyone speaks english with russian accents
Anime:
>scene where a foreigner visits japan
>they speak perfect japanese
>scene set anywhere but japan
>they speak perfect japanese
I suspect theres a conspiracy against subtitles or something.

>speaks Japanese
The show's language is Japanese so the narrative is also in Japanese. This is perfectly acceptable in fiction.
>or Engrish
This cancer on the other hand is yurusemasen.
>characters supposed to be native english speakers with little or no japanese background
>they speak native japanese, follow all cultural customs to a t, and have comprehensive knowledge of japanese folklore
i understand that it's hard to find native english speakers that also speak fluent japanese and are able to act worth shit on top of that, but the writers could at least make an effort to compensate.
Man those few scenes in Osomatsu where Americans spoke perfect english actually surprised me
>>162039150
It's kind of funny but if you watch older works, you'll find instances of characters speaking perfectly normal foreigner English.
There used to be a time when Japanese actually spoke English, they simply dropped it afterwards.

this scene is the most surprising desu

The alternative is engrish. NO ONE wants that. Not even Japanese people
